Description
本発明は、米国特許法第119条(e)下で2011年9月21日に出願された「ディスクポンプおよびバルブ構造」という名称の米国仮特許出願第61/537,431号明細書の利益を主張するものであり、同明細書はあらゆる目的において参照により本明細書中に組み込まれる。

ここで、キャビティ16、17(c)内の作動流体音速は上記の式に表される約115m/sの低速(cs)〜約1,970m/sに等しい高速(cf)の範囲であってもよく、k0は定数(k0=3.83)である。アクチュエータ40の振動動作の周波数は、好ましくは、キャビティ16、17内の半径方向圧力振動の最低共振周波数にほぼ等しいが、その値の20%以内であってもよい。キャビティ11内の半径方向圧力振動の最低共振周波数は好ましくは約500Hz超である。
Claims (20)
- ポンプ本体であって、2つの端壁によって閉じられかつ内部の半径(r)を有する実質的に楕円形状の側壁を有するポンプ本体と、
アクチュエータであって、0.63(r)以上である楕円状の内部プレートと、前記内部プレートの中心部分と機能的に組み合わされ、周波数(f)の振動動作を生じさせることによって前記ポンプ本体内で流体の半径方向圧力振動を発生させるようになっている圧電プレートとにより形成される、アクチュエータと、
アイソレータであって、前記アクチュエータおよび前記アイソレータが前記ポンプ本体内に高さ(h)を有する2つのキャビティを形成するように、前記内部プレートの外周部分に連結された内側の外周部と、前記側壁に柔軟に連結された外側の外周部とを含み、前記半径(r)および前記高さ(h)の比率が約1.2超である、アイソレータと、
前記アクチュエータ内に延在し、前記流体が1つのキャビティから他方のキャビティに流れることを可能にする第1の孔と、
前記第1の孔内に配置され、前記第1の孔を通過する流体の流れを制御する第1のバルブと、
前記端壁のうち第1の端壁内に延在し、前記流体が前記端壁のうち前記第1の端壁に隣接する前記キャビティ内を流れることを可能にする第2の孔と、
前記第2の孔内に配置され、前記第2の孔を通過する流体の流れを制御する第2のバルブと、
前記端壁のうち第2の端壁内に延在し、前記流体が前記端壁のうち前記第2の端壁に隣接する前記キャビティ内を流れることを可能にする第3の孔と、を含み、
それにより、使用時に流体が1つのキャビティ内に流れ、前記他方のキャビティから出ることを特徴とするポンプ。 - 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記第3の孔内に配置され、使用時に前記第3の孔を通過する流体の流れを制御する第3のバルブをさらに含むことを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項2に記載のポンプにおいて、前記バルブがフラップバルブであることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、各キャビティの前記高さ(h)と各キャビティの前記半径(r)が、さらに、以下の式、h2/r>4×10−10メートルによって関連付けられることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記第2の孔および前記第3の孔が前記端壁の中心から約0.63(r)±0.2(r)の距離に配置されていることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記バルブが、前記キャビティ内を前記流体が実質的に1つの方向に流れることを可能にすることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記キャビティ内において使用されている前記流体が気体である場合、各キャビティの前記比率r/hが約10〜約50の範囲内であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記キャビティ内において使用されている前記流体が気体である場合、各キャビティのh2/rの比率が約10−3メートル〜約10−6メートルであることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、各キャビティの容量が約10ml未満であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記内部プレートの前記少なくとも1つが前記振動動作を提供するための磁歪材料であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記端壁の1つが截頭円錐形を有し、前記キャビティの前記高さ(h)が前記側壁における第1の高さから、前記端壁のほぼ中心におけるより低い第2の高さまで変化することを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記第2の孔および前記第3の孔が各1つずつ前記各端壁の実質的に中心に配置されていることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記キャビティ内に前記流体の半径方向圧力振動を発生させる前記振動動作により、流体が前記第1の孔と、前記第2の孔と、前記第3の孔とを流れることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項13に記載のポンプにおいて、前記半径方向圧力振動の最低共振周波数が約500Hz超であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項13に記載のポンプにおいて、前記振動動作の前記周波数が前記半径方向圧力振動の最低共振周波数にほぼ等しいことを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項13に記載のポンプにおいて、前記振動動作の前記周波数が前記半径方向圧力振動の最低共振周波数の20%以内であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項13に記載のポンプにおいて、各キャビティ内の前記振動動作が前記半径方向圧力振動にモード形整合されていることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、前記アイソレータが可撓性膜であることを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項1に記載のポンプにおいて、各バルブが、少なくとも2つの金属プレートと、スペーサと、少なくとも1つの高分子層とを含むことを特徴とするポンプ。
- 請求項19に記載のポンプにおいて、各バルブが総厚約200−420μmを有することを特徴とするポンプ。
