Description
Claims (9)
- フリーラジカル重合開始剤の存在下におけるエチレン系不飽和単量体の高圧重合により得られた反応混合物の重合成分とガス成分とを分離するための方法であって、反応混合物を分離容器中に入れるステップと;反応混合物をガス分と液分とに分離するステップと;
分離容器の頂部から前記ガス分を引き出し、また分離容器の底部から前記液分を引き出すステップとを含み、
前記分離は圧力15MPa〜50MPa及び温度120℃〜300℃にて行われ;前記分離容器は、4〜10の直径に対する長さの比(L/D)を有する垂直に配置された円筒形状を有し、反応混合物を分離容器中に導入するための入口管を備え、該入口管は前記頂部から分離容器中に垂直に延びており、前記入口管は分離容器内の中央に配置されており、該入口管の下端部の内径と分離容器の円筒形状部分の内径との比は0.2〜0.4である、方法。 - 高圧重合で得られたままの反応混合物が前記分離容器に供給される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記入口管は、分離容器の長さの25%〜40%になる距離だけ前記分離容器中に延びる、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記入口管の下端部における反応混合物の速度は0.5m/s〜60m/sである、請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記入口管の下端部から、ガス分を前記分離容器から引き出すための出口までの領域における上昇ガスの垂直方向速度は0.02m/s〜2.0m/sである、請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 液分と接触する分離容器内の表面は最大3.2μmの平均粗さ(Ra)を有する、請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記分離容器内の液分のレベルは放射分析レベル測定によって測定され、生成物排出弁によって制御される、請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の重合成分とガス成分とを分離するための方法を含み、重合反応器で温度100℃〜350℃及び圧力110MPa〜500MPaでフリーラジカル重合開始剤の存在下にエチレン系不飽和単量体からエチレンの単独重合体又は共重合体を製造するための方法。
- 前記重合は、1つ以上の管型反応器又はオートクレーブ反応器又はこれらの反応器の組み合わせで行われる請求項8に記載の方法。
