Claims (15)
- コネクタであって、
各々が取り付け側および嵌合側を備える複数のウェーハであって、各ウェーハが第1の信号端子対および第2の信号端子対を含み、グランド端子が前記第1の対と第2の対との間に位置付けられ、前記信号端子対の端子の各々が、尾部、本体、および接点を有し、前記端子の尾部が、前記ウェーハ内に配置され、前記取り付け側に一列に配置され、前記端子の本体が垂直配列で配列されて、前記グランド端子の本体が前記2つの信号端子対の本体間にあるようにし、各信号端子対の接点が水平配列であり、各ウェーハが、前記グランド端子に電気的に接続される遮蔽体をさらに含む、複数のウェーハと、
該ウェーハの嵌合側に位置付けられるシュラウドであって、絶縁性であり、並列配置で前記信号端子対の前記接点を支持する挿入チャネルを含む、シュラウドと、
該シュラウド内のU字形開口部を通って延在する複数のU字形遮蔽体であって、各々がそれぞれの接点対を部分的に遮蔽するように構成される、複数のU字形遮蔽体と、
前記シュラウド内に位置付けられる挿入部であって、前記U字形遮蔽体を前記グランド端子および遮蔽体のうちの少なくとも1つに電気的に接続するように構成される、挿入部と、を備える、コネクタ。 - 前記信号端子対の各々が、前記垂直配列された本体と前記水平配列された接点との間に遷移領域を有する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記遷移領域が、前記信号端子のうちの一方を第1の方向に折り畳ませ、該信号端子のうちの他方を前記第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に折り畳ませる、請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記挿入部が、前記U字形遮蔽体に係合するノッチを含む、請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記挿入部が、前記ノッチ内に延在する導電性領域を有し、前記U字形遮蔽体が、前記導電性領域を介して前記グランド端子および遮蔽体のうちの少なくとも1つに電気的に接続される、請求項4に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記グランド端子が接点を有しない、請求項5に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記グランド端子が、前記遮蔽体を介して前記U字形遮蔽体に電気的に接続され、前記グランド端子が、前記挿入部に直接電気的に接続しない、請求項6に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記グランド端子と前記U字形遮蔽体との間の電気経路が少なくとも前記遮蔽体および前記導電性領域を通過するように、前記遮蔽体が導電性表面に接続される、請求項6に記載のコネクタ。
- コネクタであって、
複数の信号端子対であって、該対の各々がエッジ結合された第1の配列で配置され、前記信号端子の各々が接点を含む、複数の信号端子対と、
各信号端子対の間に位置付けられるグランド端子と、
前記接点を支持する第1の凹部を有するシュラウドであって、各信号端子対の接点が前記第1の凹部内にエッジ結合された第2の配列で配置され、前記第1の配列が前記第2の配列とは90度異なる、シュラウドと、
該シュラウドによって支持され、前記グランド端子に電気的に接続されるU字形遮蔽体と、を備え、前記U字形遮蔽体および前記グランド端子が、直接物理的に接触していない、コネクタ。 - 前記グランド端子が接点を有しない、請求項9に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記シュラウドが第2の凹部を含み、前記コネクタが前記第2の凹部内に位置付けられる挿入部をさらに含み、該挿入部が、前記グランド端子を前記U字形遮蔽体に電気的に接続する助けとなる、請求項10に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記U字形遮蔽体が、前記第1の凹部を前記第2の凹部から分離するシュラウド壁を通って延在し、前記挿入部が、前記U字形遮蔽体に係合するように構成されるノッチを含む、請求項11に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記挿入部が、前記U字形遮蔽体に電気的に接続するように前記ノッチ内に延在する導電性領域を含み、該導電性領域が、前記U字形遮蔽体とグランド端子との間に電気的接続を提供する助けとなる、請求項12に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタが遮蔽体をさらに含み、該遮蔽体が、前記グランド端子と導電性領域との間に電気的接続を提供する、請求項13に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記グランド端子が、前記導電性領域と直接電気的に接続しない、請求項14に記載のコネクタ。
