Description
Claims (24)
- 電気的に作動する可変透過率層を含むSPDフィルムの切替に当たり、該可変透過率層が第1電極と第2電極との間にあり、1kHzより大きい周波数の交流電界を第1電極と該第2電極との間に印加して、第1電極と第2電極との間にある該可変透過率層の選択された領域の切り替えを行い、該選択された領域が選択されていない領域とは異なる透過率を有することを特徴とする切替方法。
- 前記選択された領域が、該選択された領域の面方向に段階的な透過率を持った領域を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界の周波数が、10kHzより大きい請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界の周波数が、少なくとも20kHzである請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界を、可変出力電圧を有する電源によって印加する請求項1〜4のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界を、可変出力周波数を有する電源によって印加する請求項1〜5のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1電極および第2電極、ならびに、電源のうちの1つと直列に抵抗器がある請求項5又は6に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界がほぼ方形波である請求項1〜7のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界を、第1電極および/または第2電極との直接的なガルバニック接続により印加する請求項1〜7のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界を、第1電極および第2電極から離れた少なくとも1つの遠隔電気接続により印加する請求項1〜8のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記印加された交流電界を第1および/または第2電極に付随する複数の電気コネクタにより印加する請求項9または10に記載の方法。
- 窓ガラス材料のシートと、該窓ガラス材料のシートと向かい合い、第1電極と第2電極との間に挟まれた、電気的に作動する可変透過率層を含むSPDフィルムと、該第1電極および第2電極と電気通信する電源とを備え、該電源は、十分な強度且つ1kHzより大きい周波数の交流電界を生成して前記第1電極と第2電極との間にある前記可変透過率層の選択された領域の切り替えを行い、該選択された領域が選択されていない領域とは異なる透過率を有する窓ガラス用の装置。
- 前記電気的に作動する可変透過率層を、2つの窓ガラス材料のシート間に積層する請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記選択された領域が段階的透過率が、該選択された領域の面方向に段階的な透過率を持った領域を有する請求項12または13に記載の装置。
- 前記電源が、10kHzより大きい周波数を有する交流電界を発生させる請求項12〜14のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記電源が、20kHzより大きい周波数を有する交流電界を発生させる請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記電源および電極の1つと直列に、抵抗器、好適には可変抵抗器がある請求項13〜16のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記電源が、少なくとも1つの直接的なガルバニック接続によって第1および/または第2電極と電気通信している請求項12〜17のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記電源が、第1および第2電極から離れた少なくとも1つの遠隔電気接続によって前記第1および/または第2電極と電気通信している請求項12〜17のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記電源が複数の電気コネクタによって第1および/または第2電極と電気通信している請求項18または19に記載の装置。
- 前記窓ガラスが車両窓ガラス、好適にはフロントガラスもしくはサンルーフ、または建物の窓である請求項12〜20のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 請求項12〜21のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置を含む車両、とくに乗用車。
- 請求項12〜21のうちのいずれか1項に記載の装置を含む建物。
- SPDフィルムの電気的に作動する可変透過率層の段階的透過率領域を形成するためのSPDフィルムの使用方法であって、該可変透過率層を、前記SPDフィルムの透過状態を切り替えるのに十分な大きさで、且つ段階的透過率領域を生成するため1kHzより大きい周波数の電界を印加することで、前記電気的に作動する可変透過率層の段階的透過率領域を形成する、使用方法。
