まず、上記の第1構成例から第1画素電極を省略した比較例について、クロストーク率を測定した。次に、本実施形態の第1構成例及び第2構成例について、クロストーク率を測定した。比較例のクロストーク率を1として規格化したところ、第1構成例のクロストーク率は0.10であり、また、第2構成例のクロストーク率は0.20であった。このように、本実施形態によれば、クロストークを低減できることが確認された。

前記第2主共通電極は、前記ソース配線の線幅よりも小さい電極幅を有し、前記第1主共通電極と対向することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記画素電極は、前記第1層間絶縁膜上に位置し前記第2層間絶縁膜によって覆われた第1画素電極と、前記第2層間絶縁膜上に位置し前記第1画素電極と電気的に接続され第2方向に沿って延出した主画素電極を備えた第2画素電極と、を備えたことを特徴とする請求項5乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
