Description
図1は、本発明に係る自動二輪車の側面図である。先ず、図1を用いて、自動二輪車の全体構成について説明する。なお、図1を含め、以下の説明で用いる図においては、必要に応じて車両の前方を矢印Frにより、車両の後方を矢印Rrにより示し、また、車両の側方右側を矢印Rにより、車両の側方左側を矢印Lにより示す。
また、下流側寄り配置されたコーン体24についても同様に、排気ガスの流れを内筒14の径方向に拡げてパンチング孔16を通過させることで、排気ガスのエネルギを減少させることができる。
例えば、上流側のコーン体21及び仕切り壁26のみを設けた場合でも、それらによる所定の効果が得られる。即ち、サイレンサ内圧が高い排気ガス流の上流側程、排気ガスの圧力による吸音材17の下流側への片寄り対する仕切り壁26の高い抑制効果が得られるためである。更に、サイレンサ12の長さに応じて、即ちサイレンサ12が長い場合には3つ以上の仕切り壁を設けることも可能である。
Claims (4)
- エンジンに接続されるエキゾーストパイプと、前記エキゾーストパイプに接続され、外筒及び複数の孔が設けられた内筒で構成されたサイレンサと、前記内筒と前記外筒との間に形成された空間に配置された吸音材と、を備えたエンジンの排気装置であって、
前記サイレンサは前記内筒の内部に、上流に向かって先細形状の閉鎖構造となるコーン体を備え、
前記空間を仕切ると共に前記吸音材が前記サイレンサの軸線方向に動かないように支持する仕切り壁を設け、
前記仕切り壁は、前記コーン体の先細形状の基端側直下流において前記サイレンサの軸線に対して垂直に配置すると共に、排気ガスが前記空間内で該仕切り壁の上流側から下流側に流れるように連通孔が設けられたことを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 前記仕切り壁及び前記コーン体は少なくとも、前記サイレンサの上下流方向中央よりも上流側寄りに配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気装置。
- 前記仕切り壁及び前記コーン体は、前記サイレンサの上下流方向中央よりも上流側寄りと下流側寄りとに備えることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のエンジンの排気装置。
- 前記仕切り壁は、ワイヤクロス材で形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のエンジンの排気装置。
