出口の力が、入り口の力に基準の力を加えたものより大きいときに、圧力調整バルブ226は閉止され、出口の力が、入り口の力に基準の力を加えたものより小さいときにバルブ226は開成される。この実施例では、出口の力が入り口の力および基準の力とバランスしなければならないので、下方端287の面積が、有利なことに、図示のとおり、上方端259の面積より大きくなっており、出口の圧力を大きくすることなしに、出口の力がより大きくできるようになっている。端259および287ならびに部分205の面積を可変することにより、キャップ状のシリンダ250の表面の力のバランスを制御でき、バルブ226を開成または閉止するのに必要な圧力差を決定できる。

Claims (8)
- ハウジング内に配された移動可能な圧力応答部材と、入口と、出口とを有する圧力調整器において、上記移動可能な圧力応答部材は上記入口の入口圧力および上記出口の出口圧力に応答して移動し、上記圧力調整器はガス発生装置に流体的に結合され、上記ガス発生装置は、反応室部を具備し、上記反応室部は、固体反応物を含み、かつ上記出口から液体反応物を受け取って上記固体反応物を上記液体反応物と反応させてガスを発生させることができ、上記出口圧力は上記ガス発生装置の圧力であり、
上記圧力応答部材は、上記入口の近傍の上側端部と上記出口の近傍の下側端部とを有し、上記下側端部は上記上側端部より大きく、
上記移動可能な圧力応答部材は溝を形成し、上記液体反応物は選択的に上記溝を通り抜けて上記出口へと流れることを特徴とする圧力調整器。 - 上記移動可能な圧力応答部材は、参照圧力にも露出し、上記参照圧力は上記下側端部に作用するか、あるいは上記下側端部を横切って上記出口圧力に対抗する請求項1記載の圧力調整器。
- 上記移動可能な圧力応答部材は少なくとも1つのシール部材を有する請求項1記載の圧力調整器。
- 上記移動可能な圧力応答部材は上記上側端部に少なくとも1つのシール部材を有し、上記下側端部に少なくとも1つのシール部材を有する請求項1記載の圧力調整器。
- 上記入口は上記移動可能な圧力応答部材の上記溝と不整合な入口溝を有し、もって、上記移動可能な圧力応答部材が移動するときに、上記流体が上記入口溝から上記移動可能な圧力応答部材の溝および上記出口へと移動可能になる請求項1記載の圧力調整器。
- 上記圧力応答部材の上側端部は、外側シール部材および内側シール部材を有し、上記入口溝が上記外側シール部材および上記内側シール部材の間で終端する請求項5記載の圧力調整器。
- さらに流れ抵抗を上記出口の近傍に有する上記請求項1記載の圧力調整器。
- 上記流れ抵抗は可変直径のオリフィスである請求項7記載の圧力調整器。
