Description
(製造方法例1)
二重環状ノズルの内側ノズルより芯液を、またその外側ノズルより紡糸原液を吐出させて湿式紡糸または乾湿式紡糸するに際し、補強繊維導入パイプを用いて外側ノズル内部に補強繊維を所望の部分に供給する。
(製造方法例2)
内側ノズル、中側ノズルおよび外側ノズルの順に三重の環を構成している三重環状ノズルの内側ノズルに芯液を、中側ノズルに補強繊維および紡糸原液を、さらに外側ノズルに紡糸原液を導入して湿式紡糸または乾湿式紡糸を行う。
図1に示した二重環状ノズルにさらに1本の補強繊維導入パイプを追加し、2本の補強繊維導入パイプが円周上等配置となり、かつ外側ノズル内周面に沿って補強繊維を誘導するように設けた二重環状ノズル(外側ノズル内径1.2mm、内側ノズル外径0.6mm、内径0.4mm)を用い、この補強繊維導入口2箇所より2本の補強繊維を補強繊維導入パイプ内部に通し、さらに外側ノズル(環状体)3と内側ノズルの間隙より補強繊維であるポリエチレンテレフタレートマルチフィラメント(110デシテックス/24フィラメント:破断強度6N)を約1m出した状態で、内側ノズル2から芯液としての水を、また外側ノズル3からギアポンプで加圧した紡糸原液を吐出させ、これを水温40℃の水(凝固液)中で凝固させ、繊維強化中空糸を得た。ここで、紡糸原液としては、ポリエーテルイミド樹脂(SABIC イノベーティブプラスチックス社製品ウルテム1000)20重量部およびジメチルアセトアミド80重量部からなるものが用いられた。
実施例において、二重環状ノズルとして2本の補強繊維導入パイプを内側ノズル外周面に沿って補強繊維を誘導するように設けたものを用い、ポリエチレンテレフタレートマルチフィラメントの一部を機能層となる多孔質中空糸膜内周側に埋没させた繊維強化多孔質中空糸膜を得た。得られた多孔質中空糸膜は、外径700μm、内径500μmであり、補強繊維は中空糸膜の内周面を含めた部分にあって、機能層となる中空糸膜内周面側ではない側の中空糸膜表面(中空糸膜外周面側)からみて中空糸膜膜厚の60〜130%の位置に挿入されていた。強度は10Nであったが、25℃における空気透過速度は20ml/cm2/分/100kPaであり、例えば機能層を中空糸膜内周面とする加湿膜としての使用に耐えられるものではなかった。
実施例において、ポリエチレンテレフタレートマルチフィラメントを用いることなく多孔質中空糸膜を得た。得られた多孔質中空糸膜は、外径600μm、内径400μmであり、25℃における水蒸気透過速度は0.45g/cm2/分/MPa、空気透過速度は0ml/cm2/分/100kPaであったが、強度は1Nと低く、例えば加湿膜としての使用に耐えられるものではなかった。
実施例において、芯液に代えて内側ノズルよりポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維からなる中空状の支持体(組み紐、荷重ゼロでの内径2.0mm、外径2.85mm)が用いられ、支持体上にポリエーテルイミド紡糸原液の塗布が行われた。得られた多孔質中空糸膜は、外径2300μmであり、強度は250N以上と高かったが、25℃における水蒸気透過速度は0.04g/cm2/分/MPaと低く、例えば機能層を中空糸膜内周面とする加湿膜としての使用に耐えられるものではなかった。なお、空気透過速度は0ml/cm2/分/100kPaであった。

Claims (3)
- 中空糸膜膜内に補強繊維の一部を埋没せしめた繊維強化多孔質中空糸膜において、多孔質中空糸膜の被処理物接触側ではない外表面側の中空糸膜面からみて中空糸膜膜厚の90%を超えない部分に補強繊維を単体で中空糸膜軸方向と平行に配置せしめた繊維強化多孔質中空糸膜。
- 補強繊維断面の50容積%以上を中空糸膜中に埋没せしめた請求項1記載の繊維強化多孔質中空糸膜。
- 中空糸膜の外径が0.5〜1.5mmである請求項1記載の繊維強化多孔質中空糸膜。
