Description
(A)少なくとも1個のアミノ基を含有するエチレン系不飽和モノマー;
(B)アミノ基を含有しないエチレン系不飽和モノマー;
(C)場合によっては、式
CH2=CH(R1)−COO−CtH2t−OR2
で示されるヒドロキシ−またはアルコキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート;
(D)式
CH2=CH(R1)−COO−(CmH2mO)n−OR2
〔式中、R1は、水素またはメチルであり、R2は、水素またはC1〜C6アルキルであり、tは、2、3、4、5または6の整数であり、mは、2または3の整数であり、およびnは、2〜20の整数である〕示される(ポリ)アルキレングリコールモノ(メタ)アクリレートを共重合された単位として含有する。
は、重合を開始させる能力を有するものとし、を有する少なくとも1つのニトロキシルエーテルの存在下で重合させるか、または
a2)第1工程で1つ以上のエチレン系不飽和モノマーを、少なくとも1つの安定した遊離ニトロキシル基

WO 06/074969の実施例A6、A11およびA15に記載のブロックコポリマーは、有利に本発明により使用されることができる。
(a)フレーク状顔料(パール顔料)を水中に懸濁させ、この懸濁液のpHを約3に調節し、次にホウ素、珪素、アルミニウム、亜鉛、カルシウム、マグネシウム、ジルコニウム、鉄(III)、イットリウムおよびセリウムから選択された1つ以上の(金属)塩の水溶液を、アルカリ金属水溶液で懸濁液のpHを一定に保持しながら、懸濁液に添加し、添加後、懸濁液のpHを約7〜8.5に調節し、および
(b)アクリルコポリマーの溶液を攪拌しながら、生じる懸濁液に添加し、添加後、この懸濁液を濾過し、水で洗浄し、および乾燥させることを特徴とする、本発明による顔料を製造する方法に関する。
TiO2で塗布されたマイカCIBA XYMARA TM Silver Pearl S19 (ex CIBA SC) 20gを水200ml中に分散させる。この懸濁液を75℃に加熱する。水200ml中に溶解させたAlCl31;05gの溶液を計量供給ポンプを用いて4ml/分で添加する。pHをNaOHの溶液(1%で)で補正することによって、懸濁液をpH3に維持する。この懸濁液をpH3で30分間維持する。次に、懸濁液のpHを1%NaOH溶液でpH7に近づける。水50ml中に溶解された、WO 06/074969の実施例3A中で得られたコポリマー1g((Mn=17500g/mol、PDI=1.6、OH価=0.05meq/g;50%活性))

TiO2で塗布されたマイカCIBA XYMARA TM Silver Pearl S03 (ex CIBA SC) 50gを水500ml中に分散させる。この懸濁液を75℃に加熱する。水290ml中に溶解させたZrOCl2−8H2O5.76gの溶液を計量供給ポンプを用いて4ml/分で添加する。pHをNaOHの溶液(1%で)で補正することによって、懸濁液をpH3に維持する。この懸濁液をpH3で30分間維持する。次に、懸濁液のpHを1%NaOH溶液でpH7に近づける。この懸濁液をpH7で30分間維持する。水100ml中に溶解された、WO 06/074969の実施例3A中で得られたコポリマー5g((Mn=17500g/mol、PDI=1.6、OH価=0.05meq/g;50%活性))
TiO2で塗布されたマイカXYMARA TM Silver Pearl S23 (ex CIBA SC) 50gを水500ml中に分散させる。この懸濁液を75℃に加熱する。水200ml中に溶解させたAlCl30.98gの溶液を計量供給ポンプを用いて4ml/分で添加する。pHをNaOHの溶液(1%で)で補正することによって、懸濁液をpH3に維持する。この懸濁液をpH3で30分間維持する。水300ml中に溶解されたZrOCl2−8H2O2.88gの溶液を計量供給ポンプで4ml/分で添加する(1.2時間で、この場合懸濁液のpHは、NaOH(1%で)の溶液で補正することによって3に維持される)。この懸濁液をpH3で30分間再び維持する。次に、懸濁液のpHを1%NaOH溶液でpH7に近づける。この懸濁液をpH7で30分間維持する。水100ml中に溶解された、WO 06/074969の実施例3A中で得られたコポリマー5g((Mn=17500g/mol、PDI=1.6、OH価=0.05meq/g;50%活性))
TiO2で塗布されたマイカCIBA XYMARA TM Silver Pearl S19 (ex CIBA SC) 20gを水200ml中に分散させる。この懸濁液を75℃に加熱する。この懸濁液のpHをHCl(3.5%)の溶液で3の値に減少させる。水200ml中に溶解させたAlCl31.05gの溶液を計量供給ポンプを用いて4ml/分で添加する。pHをNaOHの溶液(1%で)で補正することによって、懸濁液をpH3に維持する。この懸濁液をpH3で30分間維持する。次に、懸濁液のpHを1%NaOH溶液でpH7に近づける。この懸濁液をpH7で10分間維持する。水5ml(80℃で)中のNa2B4O70.3gの溶液を添加する。10分後、75℃およびpH7で懸濁液を冷却する。この懸濁液を濾過し、顔料を回収し、300℃で炉中で乾燥させる。粉末(21g)を強力に攪拌しながら水200ml中に分散させる。水50ml中に溶解された、WO 06/074969の実施例3A中で得られたコポリマー1.1g((Mn=17500g/mol、PDI=1.6、OH価=0.05meq/g;50%活性))
試料の光活性触媒をメチレンブルーの光分解によって評価する:水5g中の効果顔料50mgをメチレンブルー溶液の1滴の存在下で電磁攪拌機によって攪拌し、光に晒す。比較試料を調製し、同時に光の遮断下に攪拌する。比較試料に対する試料の色の変化を、半時間毎に評価する(4×)。
黄色度指数は、二酸化チタンで塗布されたマイカを高濃度のポリエチレン(HDPE)ステップチップス中で酸化防止剤ブチル化ヒドロキシトルエン(BHT)と一緒に配合し、前記ステップチップスをQUV計器中でUV光に晒すことによって測定される。発生した黄変は、Hunter LabScan計器上で測定されたように黄色度指数を求めることによって監視された。
1.60℃で16時間
2.80℃で8時間。
Claims (13)
- 小板形状の基材、
1.8を上廻る屈折率を有する金属酸化物層を有する金属酸化物コーティングおよび
保護層を有し、
この保護層にアクリルコポリマーの有機アフターコートが塗布された真珠箔顔料において、
この保護層が、金属酸化物層又は金属水酸化物層と場合により酸化ホウ素とを有し、この保護層の金属酸化物層又は金属水酸化物層が、珪素の酸化物、珪素の水酸化物、酸化珪素水和物、アルミニウムの酸化物、アルミニウムの水酸化物、ジルコニウムの酸化物、ジルコニウムの水酸化物、マグネシウムの酸化物、マグネシウムの水酸化物、カルシウムの酸化物、カルシウムの水酸化物、鉄(III)の酸化物、鉄(III)の水酸化物、イットリウムの酸化物、イットリウムの水酸化物、セリウムの酸化物、セリウムの水酸化物、亜鉛の酸化物、亜鉛の水酸化物、およびこれらの組合せから選択されていることを特徴とし、
前記アクリルコポリマーが次のモノマー
(A)少なくとも1個のアミノ基を含有するエチレン系不飽和モノマー;
(B)アミノ基を含有しないエチレン系不飽和モノマー;
(C)場合によっては、式
CH2=CH(R1)−COO−CtH2t−OR2
で示されるヒドロキシ−またはアルコキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート;
(D)式
CH2=CH(R1)−COO−(CmH2mO)n−R2
〔式中、R1は、水素またはメチルであり、R2は、水素またはC1〜C6アルキルであり、tは、2、3、4、5または6の整数であり、mは、2または3の整数であり、およびnは、2〜20の整数である〕で示される(ポリ)アルキレングリコールモノ(メタ)アクリレートを共重合させた単位として有するコポリマーである、前記真珠箔顔料。 - 前記顔料の金属酸化物量又は金属水酸化物含量(保護層)が前記顔料の全質量に対して0.1〜10質量%の範囲内にある、請求項1記載の真珠箔顔料。
- 前記顔料のアクリルコポリマー含量が前記顔料の全質量に対して0.1〜10質量%の範囲内にある、請求項1または2記載の真珠箔顔料。
- 小板形状の基材が天然マイカ状鉄酸化物、合成マイカ状鉄酸化物およびドープされたマイカ状鉄酸化物、天然マイカおよび合成マイカ、別の層状珪酸塩、塩基性炭酸鉛、フレーク状硫酸バリウム、MoS2、SiO2、Al2O3、TiO2、ガラス、パーライト、ZnO、ZrO2、SnO2、BiOCl、酸化クロム、BN、MgOフレーク、Si3N4、グラファイト、又はSiOz から選択されたものであり、
又は、小板形状の基材が、SiO 2 層に、SiO x 層で被覆され、さらに、SiO 2 層で被覆された層構造(0.03≦x≦0.95)であるか、又は、小板形状の基材が、SiO 1.40-2.0 層に、SiO 0.70-0.99 層で被覆され、さらに、SiO 1.40-2.0 層で被覆された層構造、又は、小板形状の基材が、Si層に、SiO z 層で被覆された層構造であり、但し、この場合0.70≦z≦2.0であるものとし;或いは小板形状の基材がAg、Al、Au、Cu、Cr、Fe、Ge、Mo、Ni、Si、Ti、及びそれらの合金のフレークから選択されたものである、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の真珠箔顔料。 - 前記TRASUBは、天然または合成マイカ、他の層状珪酸塩、ガラス、Al2O3、又はSiOzであり、但し、この場合0.70≦z≦2.0であるものとし、および/または、前記STLは、Cu、Ag、CrまたはSnの半透明金属層、または半透明炭素層である、請求項5に記載の真珠箔顔料。
- 金属酸化物層又は金属水酸化物層が、アルミニウムの酸化物、アルミニウムの水酸化物、アルミニウムの酸化物の水和物、ジルコニウムの酸化物、ジルコニウムの水酸化物の水和物、またはその混合物であるか;或いは酸化ジルコニウム、酸化アルミニウムおよび酸化亜鉛の三元混合物、または酸化ジルコニウム、酸化アルミニウムおよび酸化マグネシウムの三元混合物である、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の真珠箔顔料。
- 保護層が、それぞれ顔料の質量に対して酸化アルミニウム3〜5質量%および酸化ホウ素0.5〜1.5質量%、およびアクリルコポリマー5質量%を有する、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の真珠箔顔料。
- 保護層が酸化アルミニウムおよび場合によっては酸化ホウ素を有する、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の真珠箔顔料。
- アクリルコポリマーが次の工程:
a1)第1工程で1つ以上のエチレン系不飽和モノマーを、構造要素
は、重合を開始させる能力を有するものとし、を有する少なくとも1つのニトロキシルエーテルの存在下で重合させるか、または
a2)第1工程で1つ以上のエチレン系不飽和モノマーを、少なくとも1つの安定した遊離ニトロキシル基
b)前記a1)またはa2)で製造されたポリマーまたはコポリマーをエステル交換反応、アミド化、加水分解または無水物変性、またはこれらの組合せによって変性する、を含む方法によって得られるコポリマーである、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の真珠箔顔料。 - 請求項1記載の顔料を製造する方法において、
(a)フレーク状顔料(パール顔料)を水中に懸濁させ、この懸濁液のpHを3に調節し、次にホウ素、珪素、アルミニウム、亜鉛、カルシウム、マグネシウム、ジルコニウム、鉄(III)、イットリウムおよびセリウムから選択された1つ以上の(金属)塩の水溶液を、アルカリ性水溶液で懸濁液のpHを一定に保持しながら、懸濁液に添加し、添加後、懸濁液のpHを7〜8.5に調節し、および
(b)アクリルコポリマーの溶液を攪拌しながら、生じる懸濁液に添加し、添加後、この懸濁液を濾過し、水で洗浄し、および乾燥させることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の顔料を製造する方法。 - ペイント、ラッカー、印刷用インキ、粉末コーティング、紙用塗料、プラスチック、化粧品、インキ、セラミックおよびガラスのための釉薬、食品および薬品のための装飾的用途、ならびに機密保護増強機構への請求項1から10までのいずれか1項に記載の顔料の使用。
- ペイント、ラッカー、印刷用インキ、粉末コーティング、紙用塗料、プラスチック、化粧品、インキ、およびセラミックおよびガラスのための釉薬において、請求項1から10までのいずれか1項に記載の顔料を有することを特徴とする、ペイント、ラッカー、印刷用インキ、粉末コーティング、紙用塗料、プラスチック、化粧品、インキ、およびセラミックおよびガラスのための釉薬。
