Description
本発明者による検討の結果、潤滑剤28の気液界面付近における潤滑剤28の蒸気圧が低下することで蒸発が促進されるとの知見を得た。つまり、蒸気圧が飽和蒸気圧となれば、潤滑剤28の蒸発はほぼ止まるが、ハブ20とベース部材10の間の領域と外部領域との空気の流通が多いと、気液界面付近の潤滑剤28の蒸気圧が低下して潤滑剤28の蒸発が促進される。外部領域との空気の流通は、主に第2の狭隙部52を通って行われる。
Claims (10)
- 記録ディスクを保持するように構成された外周壁部を有するハブと、
前記ハブ側の面に、前記ハブの回転軸を中心軸とする円筒部を有するベース部材と、
潤滑剤を保持し、前記ハブを前記ベース部材に対して回転自在に支持する流体動圧軸受と、
前記円筒部の外周面に固定された円環部と、前記円環部から径方向に伸びる複数の突極と、を有するステータコアと、
前記複数の突極に巻き線されて形成されるコイルと、
前記外周壁部の内周面に固定され、前記複数の突極と径方向に対向し、周方向に複数の駆動用着磁が施されたマグネットと、
を備え、
前記流体動圧軸受は、潤滑剤の空気との境界面を、前記ベース部材と前記ハブとの間に形成された領域に有し、
前記円筒部の開口部は、前記境界面の径方向外側に設けられ、
前記ハブは、前記開口部に軸方向に進入する円筒下垂部を有し、前記円筒下垂部の外周面には縮径して前記円筒部の内周部が径方向に進入する縮径領域が形成され、前記縮径領域は前記開口部と径方向に対向して前記開口部と径方向の狭隙部を形成し、
前記円筒部の外周面には縮径して前記円環部の内周面と径方向の隙間を形成する外周縮径部が設けられ、前記外周縮径部の軸方向領域は前記径方向の狭隙部の軸方向領域に含まれ、
前記径方向の狭隙部の径方向寸法は0.2mm以下であり、前記径方向の狭隙部の軸方向寸法は前記径方向の狭隙部の径方向寸法の5倍以上であることを特徴とするディスク駆動装置。 - 前記ベース部材に固定され、前記マグネットと軸方向に対向し、磁性材を含むリング状の吸引プレートを有し、
前記吸引プレートと前記マグネットとの間に第1の狭隙部が形成され、
前記ベース部材と前記ベース部材側の前記外周壁部の端面との間に第2の狭隙部が形成され、
前記外周壁部は、前記吸引プレートを環囲し、かつ、前記外周壁部の軸方向の範囲が前記吸引プレートの軸方向の範囲と重複するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のディスク駆動装置。 - 前記ベース部材は、前記円筒部から径方向に延在し、前記コイルと対向し、筒状の側面を有するベース延在部が設けられ、
前記吸引プレートは、前記吸引プレートの軸方向の範囲が前記ベース延在部の側面の軸方向の範囲と重複し、前記ベース延在部を環囲するように配設されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のディスク駆動装置。 - 前記吸引プレートは、前記ベース延在部の側面に嵌合されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記吸引プレートの軸方向の高さが、前記ベース延在部の側面の高さより低いことを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記吸引プレートの軸方向厚み寸法は、前記第1の狭隙部の軸方向寸法と実質同一であることを特徴とする請求項2〜5のいずれかに記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記第2の狭隙部の径方向寸法は、前記第2の狭隙部の軸方向寸法の3倍以上であることを特徴とする請求項2〜6のいずれかに記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記第2の狭隙部の軸方向寸法は、前記第1の狭隙部の軸方向寸法より小さいことを特徴とする請求項2〜7のいずれかに記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記吸引プレートの外周直径は、前記記録ディスクの内周直径より小さいことを特徴とする請求項2〜8のいずれかに記載のディスク駆動装置。
- 前記円筒部の開口部は、軸方向の範囲が潤滑剤の空気との境界面と重複し、前記境界面を環囲するように設けられことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のディスク駆動装置。
