Description
図8は、電気泳動装置を適用した電子機器の具体例を説明する斜視図である。図8(A)は、電子機器の一例である電子ブックを示す斜視図である。この電子ブック1000は、ブック形状のフレーム1001と、このフレーム1001に対して回動自在に設けられた(開閉可能な)カバー1002と、操作部1003と、本実施形態に係る電気泳動装置によって構成された表示部1004と、を備えている。図8(B)は、電子機器の一例である腕時計を示す斜視図である。この腕時計1100は、本実施形態に係る電気泳動装置によって構成された表示部1101を備えている。図8(C)は、電子機器の一例である電子ペーパーを示す斜視図である。この電子ペーパー1200は、紙と同様の質感および柔軟性を有するリライタブルシートで構成される本体部1201と、本実施形態に係る電気泳動装置によって構成された表示部1202と、を備えている。なお、電気泳動装置を適用可能な電子機器の範囲はこれに限定されず、電気泳動粒子の移動に伴う視覚上の色調の変化を利用した装置を広く含むものである。例えば、上記のような装置の他、電気泳動フィルムが貼り合わせられた壁面等の不動産に属するもの、車両、飛行体、船舶等の移動体に属するものも該当する。
Claims (9)
- 基板と、
前記基板上に、第1方向に沿って形成された複数の走査線と、
前記基板上に、前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に沿って形成された複数の信号線と、
それぞれが、前記複数の走査線のうちの何れか1つと電気的に接続され、且つ前記複数の信号線のうちの何れか1つと電気的に接続された複数のトランジスタと、
前記複数の走査線、前記複数の信号線及び前記複数のトランジスタを覆って形成された絶縁層と、
それぞれが、前記複数のトランジスタのうちの何れか1つのトランジスタと電気的に接続された複数の電極と、
を備え、
前記絶縁層には、前記複数の電極のうちの少なくとも2つの隣り合う電極を1組として当該1組の電極ごとに1つの開口部が形成されており、前記複数の電極の各々は、前記開口部を介して前記1つのトランジスタと電気的に接続されており、
前記開口部は、平面視において楕円形状を有する、
回路基板。 - 前記1組の電極は、前記第1方向に沿って配列した2つの電極からなり、
前記複数の信号線は、前記1組の電極ごとに2つの信号線が対応付けられ、
前記2つの信号線は、前記1つの開口部を挟んで配置された、

前記回路基板上に設けられた電気光学層と、
