Claims (14)
- 車両の内燃エンジン(10)の排気ガス内のNOx含有量を低減する方法であって、少なくとも一つのシリンダ(11)と、空気を供給する取入口(12)と、前記内燃エンジン(10)の排出物を低減する排気後処理システム(40)内に排気ガスを排出する排気口(14)とを含む前記内燃エンジン(10)において、排ガス再循環部(80)が、前記排気口(14)から前記内燃エンジン(10)の前記取入口(12)に排気ガスを供給し、前記内燃エンジン(10)は、前記排気口(14)の下流の排気流内に直列に配置されて、前記排気ガスのエネルギを吸収する少なくとも2つのエネルギ吸収器(54,60)として、ターボ過給機(50)のタービン(54)及びターボコンパウンドのタービン(60)を含み、前記方法は、
特定の動力で通常選択される負荷よりも高い高負荷段階中あるいは中負荷段階中の少なくともいずれかの段階と、前記特定の動力で通常選択される回転速度よりも遅い回転速度と、を用いて前記内燃エンジン(10)を駆動することによって、前記少なくとも2つのタービン(54,60)を駆動すると共に、前記少なくとも2つのタービン(54,60)の下流の排気ガスの温度を設定するのに十分な第1温度まで前記排気ガスを過熱し、
前記後処理システム(40)内のNOx変換にとって好ましい所望の温度範囲まで、前記2つのタービン(54,60)内の前記過熱された排気ガスを冷却し、
前記後処理システム(40)の下流のNOx含有量、もしくは前記後処理システム(40)の所定のNOx変換能力、又はその両方に基づいて、前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度を変化させることを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度、もしくは前記少なくとも2つのエネルギ吸収器(54,60)の上流で必要とされる温度、又はその両方に基づいて、トランスミッションユニット(30)の変速ギアを調整することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 800rpmと1500rmpの間の範囲内に、前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度を維持することを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度の変動を200rpm未満に維持することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記2つのエネルギ吸収器(54,60)の下流における前記排気ガスの温度が、前記排気後処理システム(40)内のNOx低減触媒(46)においてNOxを低減するのに最も適した範囲内にある温度範囲に設定されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記排気ガスの温度が、330℃以上で450℃以下の値に設定されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記内燃エンジン(10)に供給される燃料/空気混合物のラムダ比(λ)を1.4以下に設定することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法を実行する、内燃エンジン(10)のNOx排出量を低減する装置であって、少なくとも一つのシリンダ(11)、空気を供給する取入口(12)、前記内燃エンジン(10)の排出物を低減する排気後処理システム(40)内に排気ガスを排出する排気口(14)、前記排気口(14)から前記内燃エンジン(10)の前記取入口(14)に排気ガスを供給する排ガス再循環部(80)、ならびに、前記排気口(14)の下流の排気流内に直列に配置されて、前記排気ガスのエネルギを吸収する少なくとも2つのエネルギ吸収器(54,60)として、ターボ過給機(50)のタービン(54)及びターボコンパウンドのタービン(60)を備える内燃エンジン(10)を含み、前記装置は、
前記内燃エンジン(10)と前記車両の駆動軸(16)の間に連結されて、前記排気ガスを過熱する、前記内燃エンジン(10)の所定の回転速度を実現できるトランスミッションユニット(30)であって、前記トランスミッションユニット(30)は、パワーシフト付き自動トランスミッションであり、前記内燃エンジン(10)の低回転速度を実現でき、前記後処理システム(40)の下流におけるNOx含有量、もしくは前記後処理システム(40)の所定のNOx変換能力、又はその両方に基づいて、前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度を変化させることに用いられるトランスミッションユニット(30)と、
前記内燃エンジン(10)の高負荷段階中、もしくは中負荷段階中、又はその両方において、前記過熱された排気ガスを冷却して、前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度に基づいて、前記排気ガスの温度を、前記後処理システム(40)内のNOx変換にとって望ましい温度範囲に設定する少なくとも2つのタービン(54,60)とを特徴とする、装置。 - 前記内燃エンジン(10)の回転速度が、850rpmと1500rpmの間に設定されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも2つのエネルギ吸収器の一方(60)が、クランク軸又は電気機械(70)のうちの一方に連結されることを特徴とする、請求項8又は9に記載の装置。
- 前記トランスミッションユニット(30)が、連続可変トランスミッションユニットであることを特徴とする、請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記後処理システム(40)が、前記排気ガス内の粒子状物質の含有量を低減する装置(44)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記後処理システム(40)が、前記排気ガス内の窒素酸化物(NOx)の含有量を低減する装置(46)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項8〜12のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記内燃エンジン(10)がディーゼルエンジンであることを特徴とする、請求項8〜13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
