Description
塩化ビニリデンとゼラチンをこの順に積層した下引き層を有する厚み100μmのポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを使用して、この上に下記の処方で示される親水性層を形成した。親水性層の塗布量は乾燥質量で1平方メートル当たり2gになるようにワイヤーバーを使用して塗布を行った。乾燥は80℃の乾燥機で20分間加熱して乾燥を行った。試料は更に40℃の乾燥機内で3日間加熱を行った後、引き続く光硬化性感光層の塗布に給した。
(親水性層塗液処方)

上記のように作製した親水性層の上に、下記光硬化性感光層塗液処方の塗布液を塗布し、光硬化性感光層を形成した。光硬化性感光層の塗布量は乾燥質量で1平方メートル当たり1gになるようにワイヤーバーを使用して塗布を行った。乾燥は80℃の乾燥機で10分間加熱して乾燥を行った。

上記のようにして作製した光硬化性感光層および親水性層を設けた感光性平版印刷版材料を以下のようにして露光試験を行った。露光はアルミニウム印刷版に用いられる光波長が830nmのレーザーを搭載したPT−R4000(大日本スクリーン製造(株)製)を使用し、この装置を用いて描画を行うために、0.24mmのアルミニウム板上に上記の感光性平版印刷版材料をセロハンテープを用いて感光層が表面になるように張り合わせた。露光エネルギーは、フィルム表面上で100mJ/cm2程度になるように設定し、ドラム回転数1000rpmで描画を行った。テスト用画像として、2400dpi、175線相当の網点階調パターンと10〜100μm細線を出力し、後述する解像度の評価を行った。
上記で描画を行った各感光性平版印刷版を20℃に調節した水中に10秒間浸け、スポンジで軽く表面を擦ることで未露光部を除去した。この際、現像性評価として、未露光部が完全に除去された場合を○とし、感光層残りが僅かに認められた場合を△とし、現像性が悪く明らかに残膜もしくは現像不良を生じた場合を×とした。更に、現像性評価で○である場合についてのみ、解像度の評価を行い、10μm細線および1%網点が明瞭に再現されている場合を○とし、これらが部分的に欠落しているが、20μm以上の細線および2%以上の網点が明瞭に再現されている場合を△、これ以下の再現性である場合を×とした。
印刷機として、オフセット枚葉印刷機リョービ560を使用し、印刷インキは大日本インキ化学工業(株)製ニューチャンピオンFグロス85墨Fを使用し、湿し水は東邦精機(株)製トーホーエッチ液を1%に希釈して使用した。印刷枚数は3万枚まで実施し、印刷評価項目として、耐刷性についてテスト画像中の微小網点および細線が欠落し始めるまでの刷り枚数を以て評価を行った。保水性は印刷を通して地汚れがない場合を○とし、印刷初期或いは後期に地汚れが発生した場合を△、終始地汚れが認められた場合を×とした。インキ脱離性として、印刷開始時に、給湿液を絞り全面をインキで覆った状態から刷り始め、湿し水の水送りダイヤルを正常値に戻した時点からのインキ脱離性を評価した。この際、刷り枚数50枚以下で地汚れが消失した場合を○とし、51枚以上100枚以下であった場合を△、101枚以上であった場合を×とした。
上記の印刷評価とは別に、同じ版で未露光部を除去していない感光性平版印刷版を用いて、同じ印刷機、インキおよび湿し水を使用して、印刷開始時にインキ供給をゼロに設定し、湿し水を版面に十分に供給した状態から印刷を開始し、印刷物上で地汚れのない正常な印刷物が刷り初めから100枚以下で得られた場合に○とし、101枚以上200枚以下である場合を△、201枚以上であった場合を×とした。
実施例1〜9と同様にして塩化ビニリデンとゼラチンをこの順に積層した下引き層を有する厚み100μmのポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを使用して、この上に下記の処方で示される親水性層を形成した。親水性層の塗布量は乾燥質量で1平方メートル当たり2gになるようにワイヤーバーを使用して塗布を行った。乾燥は80℃の乾燥機で20分間加熱して乾燥を行った。試料は更に40℃の乾燥機内で3日間加熱を行った後、引き続く光硬化性感光層の塗布に給した。

実施例1で作製した親水性層の上に、光硬化性感光層塗布液中のポリマーを実施例1〜9で使用したポリマーに替えて下記に示すポリマーをそれぞれ使用した以外は全く同様にして感光層を塗布し、比較感光性平版印刷版材料7〜9を作製した。これらについて同様に評価を行った結果を表5に示した。下記化学式中に於ける数値はポリマー中に於ける各繰り返し単位の質量比を表す。
下記親水性層塗液処方において、コロイダルシリカと水溶性ポリマーの比率およびコロイダルシリカの種類を変えて同様に試験を行った。

評価結果を表7に示した。実施例10〜13は全て良好な結果を与えたが、比較例10〜12ではいずれも耐刷性、保水性に劣る結果であった。
Claims (3)
- 支持体上に、水溶性ポリマーと該水溶性ポリマーを架橋する架橋剤とコロイダルシリカを含有し、該水溶性ポリマーとコロイダルシリカを質量比で1:1〜1:3の範囲で含んでなる親水性層を設け、さらにその上に、スルホン酸基を側鎖に有し、ビニル基が結合したフェニル基をヘテロ環を介して側鎖に有する重合体、光重合開始剤および光重合開始剤を増感する化合物を含んでなる光硬化性感光層を有する積層構造からなることを特徴とする水現像可能な感光性平版印刷版材料。
- 該架橋剤が水溶性エポキシ化合物である請求項1または2に記載の水現像可能な感光性平版印刷版材料。
