Description
(1) シールド電線の端末部から露出する前記芯線に接続された芯線導通端子と、
前記芯線導通端子を内部に収容した状態で支持する絶縁部材と、
前記シールド電線のシースの外周に位置するシールド導体を加締めることによって該シールド電線に接続されるとともに、前記絶縁部材を加締めることによって該絶縁部材を保持するシールド端子と、
を備え、
前記絶縁部材の外周には、その外周の周方向に沿って突出したフランジが長手方向に所定間隔をおいて2つ形成され、
前記シールド端子には、前記絶縁部材における前記フランジで挟まれる部位を加締めるための、該絶縁部材の外周を挟むように立ち上がる一対の圧着バレル部が設けられ、各圧着バレル部には、該圧着バレル部が折曲された際に前記フランジに対向する衝き当て面が一端部に形成され、前記衝き当て面とは反対側の他端部には傾斜面が形成され、
前記傾斜面は、前記圧着バレル部が折曲された際に他方の圧着バレル部の前記傾斜面に摺接するとともに、その面が前記一対の圧着バレル部を折曲する方向とは交差する方向に傾斜して延びている、
こと。
図1(A)及び(B)は、それぞれ、本発明の実施形態に係る圧着構造が適用される前の同軸ケーブル用コネクタ10の分解斜視図及び圧着構造が適用された同軸ケーブル用コネクタ10要部の斜視図である。
本実施形態の圧着方法は、先に説明した図1(A)に示す、芯線導通端子20及び絶縁部材30を取付けてあるシールド電線Wにシールド端子40を取付ける際の、特に圧着バレル部44により絶縁部材30を圧着加工するときに適用させてあるものであり、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
本実施形態に係る圧着方法では、シールド端子40の圧着バレル部44に天井壁部44B、44Dを形成する、予備工程を構成する第1工程と、底板部41に対して側壁部44A、44Cを直角に折曲する第2工程と、絶縁部材30に接触するまで天井壁部44B、44Dを押圧・押下させる第3工程と、を備えている。
(i)第1工程では、図5(A)に示すように、シールド端子40の底板部41の幅方向の両側から上方に所定の第1角度αだけ起立させるように側壁部44A、44Cを折曲加工しておく。さらにその側壁部44A、44Cの先端から一定長さL(例えば、底板部41の幅方向の長さの半分よりも若干長い)だけ基端方向に戻った部位に予め形成しておいた溝(又は窪みでもよい)44Eを中心にして、互いに相手側の側壁部44A、44Cに向けて所定の第2角度(底板部41に平行な水平方向に対して内方へ角度β)だけ閉じる方向に折曲させ、側壁部44A、44Cの先端側に予め天井壁部44B、44Dを形成しておく。

Claims (1)
- シールド電線の端末部から露出する前記芯線に接続された芯線導通端子と、
前記芯線導通端子を内部に収容した状態で支持する絶縁部材と、
前記シールド電線のシースの外周に位置するシールド導体を加締めることによって該シールド電線に接続されるとともに、前記絶縁部材を加締めることによって該絶縁部材を保持するシールド端子と、
を備え、
前記絶縁部材の外周には、その外周の周方向に沿って突出したフランジが長手方向に所定間隔をおいて2つ形成され、
前記シールド端子には、前記絶縁部材における前記フランジで挟まれる部位を加締めるための、該絶縁部材の外周を挟むように立ち上がる一対の圧着バレル部が設けられ、各圧着バレル部には、該圧着バレル部が折曲された際に前記フランジに対向する衝き当て面が一端部に形成され、前記衝き当て面とは反対側の他端部には傾斜面が形成され、
前記傾斜面は、前記圧着バレル部が折曲された際に他方の圧着バレル部の前記傾斜面に摺接するとともに、その面が前記一対の圧着バレル部を折曲する方向とは交差する方向に傾斜して延びている、
ことを特徴とする同軸ケーブル用コネクタ。
