Claims (3)
- 立方晶型窒化硼素(cBN)粒子を80体積%以上90体積%以下含んで残部が結合材からなり、該結合材としてアルミニウム(Al)化合物とチタン(Ti)化合物とを含有するとともに、前記結合材の総含有量に対する前記Al化合物の含有量が30質量%以上で構成されるcBN焼結体の表面に、(Al1−a−bSiaMb)C1−x−yNxOy(ただし、Mは、Nb、W、Mo、Ta、Hf、Zrから選ばれる1種以上と、Tiとを含む、0.005≦a≦0.5、0≦b≦0.6、0≦x≦1、0≦y<1)で表される被覆層が形成されていることを特徴とする表面被覆工具。
- 前記cBN焼結体の表面における前記Al化合物の含有量が、前記cBN焼結体の内部における前記Al化合物の含有量よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項1記載の表面被覆工具。
- 前記cBN焼結体の表面と前記被覆層との界面における界面粗さが0.01〜2μmであることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の表面被覆工具。
