車両インナー側の車両固定部材に非回転に取り付けられる外輪部材と、車輪側に取り付けられるとともに外輪部材に同心配置される内輪部材と、内輪部材と外輪部材との間に介在される転動体と、を備える転がり軸受装置であって、
外輪部材は、内周面に転動体の軌道面が形成される筒状の外輪本体部と、本体部からラジアル方向外向きに突出する外輪フランジ部と、本体部から車両インナー側に突出する形で外輪フランジ部よりも車両インナー側にて筒状に設けられ、外周面が車両固定部材の取付部をなす外輪インロー部と、を有し、
外輪フランジ部の車両アウター側端面から外輪本体部の外周面に続く面が滑らかに連続する湾曲面として形成されるとともに、当該湾曲面には、ラジアル方向外向きに膨出する膨出湾曲面が形成されてなることを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- 車両インナー側の車両固定部材に非回転に取り付けられる外輪部材と、車輪側に取り付けられるとともに前記外輪部材に同心配置される内輪部材と、前記内輪部材と前記外輪部材との間にて周方向に配列する複数の転動体からなる転動体列と、を備える転がり軸受装置であって、
前記外輪部材は、内周面に前記転動体の軌道面が形成される筒状の外輪本体部と、前記本体部からラジアル方向外向きに突出する外輪フランジ部と、前記本体部から車両インナー側に突出する形で前記外輪フランジ部よりも車両インナー側にて筒状に設けられ、外周面が前記車両固定部材の取付部をなす外輪インロー部と、を有し、
前記外輪フランジ部の車両アウター側端面から前記外輪本体部の外周面に続く面が滑らかに連続する湾曲面として形成されるとともに、当該湾曲面には、ラジアル方向外向きに膨出する膨出湾曲面が形成されてなることを特徴とする転がり軸受装置。 - 前記湾曲面は、前記外輪本体部の前記軌道面に対する前記転動体の接触中心点と、該転動体の中心位置とを結ぶ接触直線に交わる位置に設けられている請求項1記載の転がり軸受装置。
- 前記接触中心点は、前記転動体の中心位置からラジアル方向外向きに延ばした直線が前記軌道面と交わる交点よりも車両アウター側に位置している請求項2記載の転がり軸受装置。
- 前記湾曲面は、該湾曲面と前記外輪本体部の前記軌道面とをラジアル方向に投影した投影面上において重なる位置に設けられている請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の転がり軸受装置。
