Description
請求項2に記載の発明は、請求項1に記載の発明において、前記主軸台を左右方向となるX軸方向及び上下方向となるZ軸方向へ移動可能とするとともに、前記主軸の軸線をZ軸と平行とした工作機械において、前記工具台を、前記工具台に取り付けた工具と前記主軸に取り付けた工具とがX−Z平面で同一面にあるように設置するとともにZ軸方向へのみ移動可能に設け、前記主軸台のX軸方向への移動及び前記工具台のZ軸方向への移動によって、前記工具台の前記工具交換位置への移動を可能とし、X軸方向から前記工具取付部に装着する工具を交換することを特徴とする。
また、請求項2に記載の発明によれば、工具台を、工具台に取り付けた工具と主軸に取り付けた工具とがX−Z面で同一面にあるように、且つ、Z軸方向へのみ移動可能に設けているため、工具台に対する工具交換の際には、主軸台のX軸方向への移動及び工具台のZ軸方向への移動のみで工具台を交換位置へ位置させることができ、交換位置への位置決め制御を簡素化することができる。
工作機械1は、ベッド2と、ワークWを載置可能なテーブル3と、主軸台4を有するコラム5と、工具交換のための交換アーム(工具交換手段)6とを備えてなるものであって、テーブル3は、ベッド2上の前方位置において、Z軸と平行な軸周りで旋回可能に設置されている。また、コラム5は、ベッド2上の後方位置に設けられている。そして、コラム5の前面には、左右方向へ長いクロスレール7が上下方向へ移動可能に取り付けられており、当該クロスレール7の前面に、主軸台4が左右方向へ移動可能に設けられている。
まず、ワークWに対して主軸8による加工を実施したい場合には、ワークWの上方において、主軸台4をX軸方向へ、クロスレール7をZ軸方向へ移動させながら主軸8を回転させて加工を行う。また、ワークWに対して工具台9による深穴内径加工を行いたい場合には、図2に示す如く、クロスレール7を上方へ移動させて主軸台4をワークWに干渉しない位置とした後、主軸台4をX軸方向へ移動させて工具台9をワークWの上方に位置させ、工具台9のみを上下方向へ移動させながらワークWを回転させて内径旋削加工を行う。
尚、交換アーム6は、特開2000−354929号公報に記載されているような方法にて、工具マガジン11との間で工具の受け渡しを行う。また、クロスレール7や主軸台4の移動、工具台9の移動、主軸8の回転動作、及び交換アーム6の回転動作等は、図示しないNC装置により制御されている。
また、工具台の工具取付部は、主軸台の主軸と同様にZ軸と平行な軸周りで回転可能な主軸としても良く、その場合は主軸台の主軸の軸線と工具台の主軸の軸線とがX−Z面で同一面にあるように設ければ良い。
さらに、主軸台に工具台を設置するにあたり、Z軸方向だけではなく、Y軸方向等、その他の方向へも移動可能に設置することは当然可能である。加えて、工作機械の加工に係る構成も上記実施形態のものに何ら限定されることはなく、テーブルを前後方向へ移動可能に設けたり、主軸をX軸を中心として旋回可能としたり等してもよいことは言うまでもない。
Claims (2)
- 先端に工具を取り付けて回転可能な主軸を有する主軸台を、前記主軸の軸線方向とは異なる方向へ移動可能に設置するとともに、前記主軸台に、先端に前記主軸と同じ向きに工具を取り付け可能な工具取付部を有する工具台を、前記主軸の軸線方向へ移動可能に取り付けてなる工作機械であって、
回転軸を中心として回転することによって、先端を所定の工具交換位置に位置させた前記主軸に装着する工具を交換する工具交換手段を、その回転軸が前記主軸および前記工具取付部の移動軸と同じ平面内に配置されるように設け、
前記主軸台の前記主軸の軸線方向とは異なる主軸台移動方向への移動及び前記工具台の前記主軸の軸線方向への移動により前記工具取付部の先端を前記工具交換位置に位置させると、前記工具交換手段が、前記主軸に対する交換動作と同一の交換動作にて前記工具取付部に装着する工具を交換することにより、前記主軸台移動方向から前記工具取付部に装着する工具を交換することを特徴とする工作機械。 - 前記主軸台を左右方向となるX軸方向及び上下方向となるZ軸方向へ移動可能とするとともに、前記主軸の軸線をZ軸と平行とした工作機械において、
前記工具台を、前記工具台に取り付けた工具と前記主軸に取り付けた工具とがX−Z平面で同一面にあるように設置するとともにZ軸方向へのみ移動可能に設け、
前記主軸台のX軸方向への移動及び前記工具台のZ軸方向への移動によって、前記工具台の前記工具交換位置への移動を可能とし、X軸方向から前記工具取付部に装着する工具を交換することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の工作機械。
