Description
本願は、2004年5月12日に出願された米国仮出願60/570,411および2004年10月7日に出願された米国仮出願60/616,819の利益を主張する。上記出願の全教示は、本明細書中に参照によって援用される。
再帰反射性材料は、種々の安全性および装飾目的のために使用される。特に、これらの材料は、弱い光の条件下で可視性が重要な夜間に有用である。完全な再帰反射性材料を用いると、光線は、再帰反射の軸に沿った実質的に平行な経路において、元の光源のほうに本質的に反射される。
ウインドウ側および切子面側を含む実質的に全てのプリズムを有する複数のコーナーキューブプリズムを含む、再帰反射性構造またはチップが提供される。構造は、切子面側の反射性コーティングおよび可視光を吸収し、同時に、所定の波長を有する光を通過させ、その光がコーナーキューブプリズムによって再帰反射されるウインドウ側のコーティングをさらに備え得る。1つの態様において、所定の波長は、長波長の光を含む。特定の態様において、構造は、約6.35mm未満の長さを有する。

Claims (2)
- ウインドウ側の表面と切子面の表面を有する第1の複数の再帰反射体;
第1の所定の波長または波長範囲の光を反射し、第2の所定の波長または波長範囲の光を通過させるように形成される該切子面の表面上のコーティング;ならびに
可視光を吸収し、所定の波長または波長範囲の光を通過させるように形成される該ウインドウ側の面上のコーティング
を含む、再帰反射性構造。 - 光を再帰反射するように形成された表面を有する第2の複数の再帰反射体、および
第1の所定の波長または波長範囲の光を反射し、第2の所定の波長または波長範囲の光を通過させるように形成される第2の複数の再帰反射体の表面上のコーティング
をさらに含み、該第1および第2の複数の再帰反射体は、少なくとも2つの方向に光を再帰反射するように形成される、請求項1記載の構造。
