Description
“ポリマー”は一種以上のモノマーの重合生成物を意味し、ホモ−、コ−、ター−、テトラ−ポリマーなどが含まれる;
“マー”又は“マーユニット”は、単一の反応物分子に由来するポリマーの一部分を意味する(例えばエチレンマーは一般式CH2−CH2を有する);
“コポリマー”は、二種の反応物質、一般的に複数のモノマーに由来するマーユニットを含むポリマーを意味し、ランダム、ブロック、セグメント化、グラフト等のコポリマーが含まれる。
“インターポリマー”は、少なくとも二種の反応物質、一般的には複数のモノマーに由来するマーユニットを含むポリマーを意味し、コポリマー、ターポリマー、テトラポリマー等が含まれる。
“高分子”は、その成分のマーユニットを起源としない又は由来しない、少なくとも一つの基又は置換基を含むポリマーを意味する。
“ポリエン”は、その最長部又は鎖に少なくとも二つの二重結合を有する分子を意味し、具体的にはジエン、トリエン等が含まれる;
“終端”は、ポリマー鎖の末端を意味する;
“終端成分”は、終端に位置する基又は官能性を意味する;及び
“置換した”は、特定の種又はタイプの官能基と共に用いられた場合、その基が、その基の使用目的を妨げないヘテロ原子又は官能性を含みうることを意味する。
R1は、水素原子又は式−CH2Zの一部分であり、ここでZは水素原子又は置換若しくは非置換のアリール、アルキル、アルケニル、アルケナリル、アラルケニル、アルカリル、若しくはアラルキル基であり;
R2は、式−CH2Zの一部分であり、ここでZは上記の通り定義され、又は任意に、R1及びR2は、任意に、例えばN、O、又はS等のヘテロ原子が一つ以上組み込まれた環構造を一緒に形成してもよく;更に
Qは、酸素原子、硫黄原子、又はNR3の一部分であり、ここでR3は置換若しくは非置換のアリール、アルキル、アルケニル、アルケナリル、アラルケニル、アルカリル、又はアラルキル基である。
例えば、アミノエチルエタノールアミン、アミノプロピルモノメチルエタノールアミン、ジエチレントリアミン、トリメチレンテトラアミン、1,4−シクロヘキサンビス(メチルアミン)、1,3−フェニレンジアミン、1,4−フェニレンジアミン、m−又はp−キシレンジアミン、N−アミノエチルピペラジン、ジメチルアミノプロピルアミン、ジェフアミン(Jeffamine)(商標)材料(ハンツマン LLC;ヒューストン、テキサス)のD−、XTJ−、及びT−シリーズ等のポリオキシアルキレンアミン類、並びに一般式H2N(CH2)nNH2(式中、nは2から12を含む整数である)で表わされる化合物等のポリアミン類;
アミノアルキルトリアルコキシシラン類(例えば、3−アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン(APMOS)、3−アミノプロピルトリエトキシシラン(APEOS)、[3−(メチルアミノ)プロピル]トリメトキシシランなど)、及び、例えば3−(ジエトキシメチルシリル)プロピルアミン等のアルコキシアルキルシラン官能性を有するアルキルアミン類等のアミン官能化シラン類;並びに
これらの組み合わせ、即ち、例えばN−[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピル]エチレンジアミン及びN’−[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピル]ジエチレントリアミン等のアルコキシシラン官能性を有するポリアミン類が挙げられる。
このイミン生成反応は、比較的穏やかな条件(例えば、〜25℃−75℃及び大気圧又はそれより少し高い圧力)を使用しても比較的速やかに(例えば、〜30−500分で)行える。無水性及び嫌気性は必要ないが、所望により、維持することができる。商業プロセスで一般的に採用されるタイプの混合は、良好な転換を確実に行うのに十分である。
N2でパージした撹拌機を備えた反応器に、1.53kgのヘキサン、0.41kgのスチレン溶液、及び2.54kgのブタジエン溶液を加えた。反応器に4.03mLのn-ブチルリチウム、続いて1.18mLのOOPs溶液を投入した。
2 − 0.7mLのプロピレンジアミン(1.0 M)
3 − 0.7mLのAPEOS(1.0 M)
4 − 0.7mLのAPMOS(1.0 M)、及び
5 − 10mlのヘキサンに溶解した、3mLのN−[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プルピル]エチレンジアミン(1.0 M)溶液
を加えた。
これらの混合物を〜50℃で更に〜60分撹拌した。
実質的な部分は、例1−5に記載した方法を繰り返した。具体的には、同じ量及び濃度の反応物材料を使用した。
7 − 0.8mLのAPEOS(1.0 M)
8 − 0.8mLのAPMOS(1.0 M)、及び
9 − 0.8mLのN−[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プルピル]エチレンジアミン(1.0 M)のヘキサン溶液
を加えた。
これらの混合物を、〜50℃で〜60分更に撹拌した。
Claims (5)
- 下記の工程を有する、官能性ポリマーの製造方法。
a)溶媒と、前記溶媒に溶解するカルバニオン高分子とを含有する容器内において、前記高分子は(1)ポリエンのホモポリマー、(2)ポリエンのインターポリマー、または(3)ポリエンとC8−C20のビニル芳香族化合物のインターポリマーであり、前記カルバニオン高分子と下記一般式(I)で示される構造を有する化合物とを反応させ、末端にカルボニル官能基を有するポリマーを提供する工程;および
R1C(O)−QR2 ・・・(I)
[式中、R1は水素原子かR2と同一の構造を示し、R2はそれぞれ独立に-CH2Zで表される部分であり、Zは水素原子か、置換性の、または非置換性のアリール基、アルキル基、アルケニル基、アルケナリル基、アルカリル基、またはアラルキル基であるか、R1とR2とが環構造を一緒に形成しており、Qは酸素原子、硫黄原子、またはNR3基であり、R3は置換性の、または非置換性のアリール基、アルキル基、アルケニル基、アルケナリル基、アラルケニル基、アルカリル基、アラルキル基であるか、R2とR3とが環構造を一緒に形成している]
b)前記末端にカルボニル官能基を有するポリマーと、一級アミノ基を含む化合物と反応させて、末端に下記一般式(II)
>C=N−(CH2)n− ・・・(II)
[式中、nは1から10の整数である]で定義されるイミン官能基を有するポリマーを提供する工程。 - 前記環構造を有する化合物が、イミダゾリジノン類またはピロリジノン類である、請求項1記載の官能性ポリマーの製造方法。
- 前記一級アミノ基を含む化合物が、さらに追加のアミン官能基を有する、請求項1記載の官能性ポリマーの製造方法。
- 前記一級アミノ基を含む化合物が、さらに追加のシラン官能基を有する、請求項1記載の官能性ポリマーの製造方法。
- 前記カルバニオン高分子と反応する前記化合物がラクタム類である、請求項1記載の官能性ポリマーの製造方法。
