Description
Claims (27)
- 複合湾曲を有する第1のレンズを保持するよう構成され、また、複合湾曲を有する第2のレンズを有する基部に向けて力を与え、それにより、前記第1のレンズの表面の一部が前記第2のレンズの表面の一部に最初に接触するよう構成される並進ステージと、
前記基部に取り付けられ、また、前記第2のレンズの前記湾曲に合致し、それにより、前記第2のレンズを保持するよう構成される位置合わせ固定具と、
前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に溶剤を分配するディスペンサと、
前記位置合わせ固定具に近接して前記基部に取り付けられ、また、前記並進ステージからの前記力に対する抵抗を与えるようにぴんと張られており、前記力に応じて屈曲し、それにより、前記第1のレンズ又は前記第2のレンズの一方が他方の湾曲に合致し、且つ、前記第2のレンズに対する前記第1のレンズの圧力が前記溶剤を前記第2のレンズの周囲部に向けて放射外方に押して前記第1のレンズを前記第2のレンズに結合するよう構成される変形可能シートと、
を含む、複数のレンズを結合するシステム。 - 前記変形可能なシートは、前記第2のレンズが押し付けられ、前記第2のレンズからの圧力に耐えられなくなり始めると、放射状の圧力が、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズの湾曲の中心から開始するよう構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記並進ステージはさらに、前記第2のレンズに対して前記第1のレンズを保持し、それにより、前記第1のレンズが前記第2のレンズに前記溶剤を使用して結合されるよう構成される、請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のレンズの前記表面の前記一部は、前記第1のレンズの頂点である、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2のレンズの前記表面の前記一部は、前記第2のレンズの最下点である、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のレンズの前記表面は、凸面である、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2のレンズの前記表面は、凹面である、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記溶剤は、前記第1のレンズ及び前記第2のレンズの前記表面から分子の深度において当該レンズを軟化し、それにより、前記第1のレンズを前記第2のレンズに結合する、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2のレンズは、前記第1のレンズより実質的に薄く、
前記第2のレンズは、前記第1のレンズの前記湾曲に合致する、請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記ディスペンサは、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に溶剤蒸気を分配するよう構成される、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ディスペンサは、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に1つ以上の溶剤液滴を分配するよう構成される、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ディスペンサは、レンズ材料の複数の粒子を含むスラリーを、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に分配するよう構成される、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のレンズは、透明レンズであり、
前記第2のレンズは、偏光レンズである、請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1のレンズ及び前記第2のレンズは、ポリカーボネートレンズである、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記溶剤は、ケトン系溶剤を含む、請求項1から14のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記変形可能シートは、キャストシリコーンから形成される、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記並進ステージは、前記第1のレンズを保持する真空つかみ具を含む、請求項1から16のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 複数のレンズを結合する方法であって、
それぞれ複合湾曲を有する第1のレンズ及び第2のレンズを供給することと、
前記第1のレンズと第2のレンズ間に溶剤を分配することと、
前記第1のレンズを保持した並進ステージにより、前記第2のレンズを保持した基部に向けて力を与え、それにより、前記第1のレンズの表面の第1の部分が前記第2のレンズの表面の第1の部分に最初に接触し、また、前記第1のレンズ又は前記第2のレンズの一方が他方の湾曲に合致することと、
を含み、
前記基部に取り付けられ、また、前記並進ステージからの前記力に対する抵抗を与えるようにぴんと張られた変形可能シートによって、前記第1のレンズ又は前記第2のレンズの一方が他方の湾曲に合致し、かつ、前記第2のレンズに対する前記第1のレンズの圧力が前記溶剤を前記第2のレンズの周囲部に向けて放射外方に押して前記第1のレンズを前記第2のレンズに結合する、方法。 - 前記第2のレンズに対して前記第1のレンズを保持し、それにより、前記第1のレンズが前記第2のレンズに前記溶剤を使用して結合されることをさらに含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記分配することは、ケトン系溶剤を分配することを含み、
前記分配することは、前記第1のレンズ及び前記第2のレンズの前記表面から分子の深度において当該レンズを軟化し、それにより、前記第1のレンズが前記第2のレンズに結合することを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。 - 前記第2のレンズは、前記第1のレンズより実質的に薄く、
前記第2のレンズは、押すことにより前記第1のレンズの湾曲に合致する、請求項18に記載の方法。 - 前記溶剤を分配することは、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に溶剤蒸気を噴霧することを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記溶剤を分配することは、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に1つ以上の溶剤液滴を入れることを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記分配することは、前記第1のレンズと前記第2のレンズ間に、溶剤と当該溶剤内のレンズ材料の複数の粒子とを含むスラリーを入れることを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のレンズは、透明レンズであり、
前記第2のレンズは、偏光レンズである、請求項18に記載の方法。 - 前記第1のレンズ及び前記第2のレンズは、ポリカーボネートレンズである、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 複合湾曲を有する第1のポリカーボネートレンズを保持するよう構成される真空つかみ具を有し、また、複合湾曲を有する第2のポリカーボネートレンズを有する基部に向けて力を与え、それにより、前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズの頂点が前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズの最下点に最初に接触するよう構成される並進ステージと、
前記基部に取り付けられ、また、前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズの前記湾曲に合致し、それにより、前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズを保持するよう構成される位置合わせ固定具と、
前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズと前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズ間に接着溶剤を分配するディスペンサと、
前記位置合わせ固定具に近接し、前記基部に取り付けられる治具に、前記並進ステージからの前記力に対する抵抗を与えるようにぴんと張られ、また、前記力に応じて屈曲し、それにより、前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズ又は前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズの一方が他方の湾曲に合致し、且つ、前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズに対する前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズの圧力が前記溶剤を前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズの前記最下点から周囲部に向けて放射外方に押すよう構成されるぴんと張られた部分を有する変形可能シートと、
を含み
前記並進ステージはさらに、前記レンズの前記周囲部における前記圧力を用いて前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズに対して前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズを保持し、それにより、前記第1のポリカーボネートレンズが前記第2のポリカーボネートレンズに前記溶剤を使用して結合されるよう構成される、複数のレンズを結合するシステム。
