Description
Claims (6)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、排気ガス中に含まれる粒子状物質を捕集するためのフィルタと、
前記排気通路の前記フィルタの下流に設けられ、排気ガスに含まれる窒素酸化物を還元する選択還元触媒コンバータと、
前記排気通路の前記選択還元触媒コンバータの上流に設けられ、前記選択還元触媒コンバータで還元されるべき排気ガスに含まれる窒素酸化物を一時的に吸着する吸着手段と、
前記フィルタ、前記選択還元触媒コンバータ及び前記吸着手段に流入する排気ガスの温度を上昇させて、前記フィルタの温度を所定の再生温度以上にすることにより当該フィルタを再生処理する再生処理手段と、
前記フィルタへの粒子状物質の堆積が所定量を越えて前記再生処理手段を起動する際に、前記選択還元触媒コンバータが活性化温度に達しておらず活性化していない場合には、前記再生処理手段の起動を禁止する制御手段と、
を有する内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生処理手段は、前記排気通路の前記フィルタの上流に設けられ、未燃燃料を酸化することにより排気ガスを昇温させる酸化触媒コンバータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記再生処理手段は、前記排気通路の前記酸化触媒コンバータの上流に設けられたバーナーを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記吸着手段は、前記酸化触媒コンバータと一体的に形成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記選択還元触媒コンバータの状態と前記吸着手段における窒素酸化物の吸着状態とに基づいて、前記再生処理手段の起動を禁止するかを決定することを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記再生処理手段の起動の禁止期間中に、前記フィルタへの粒子状物質の堆積量が第1の所定量を越える第2の所定量に達した場合には、前記再生処理手段の起動の禁止を解除する、ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
