Description
チタニア−シリカを含有する光触媒溶液をガラス表面に塗布し、種々の温度及び時間で加熱乾燥することでコーティング膜の物理的強度(膜硬度)と、ガラスとの密着強度がどのように変化するか確認した。より具体的には、(1)表面を研磨処理した試験片(ガラス)に光触媒溶液をディップコートした。(2)予熱しておいた電気炉に試験片を投入し、一定温度で一定時間、炉内に静置した。(3)加熱終了後、炉の扉を半開にし、試験片を自然冷却した。(4)自然冷却後、ガラス表面温度が約20℃になったことを確認し、膜の硬度・密着性を評価した。試験詳細は、以下の通りである。
[試験詳細]
光触媒 :ペルオキソ型とアナタース型の2種類のチタニア−シリカ光触媒溶液
試験片 :標準ガラス(100mm×100mm×t1.0mm)
硬度試験:JIS K5600-5-4 塗料一般試験方法−:引っかき硬度(鉛筆法)
密着試験:JISK5600-5-6 塗料一般試験方法−:付着性(クロスカット法)
加熱乾燥:電気炉(無風)アズワン株式会社 DO-450C
本試験例は、チタニア−シリカに代えて、ペルオキソ型チタニアを用いたことを除けば試験例1と同様の試験を行った試験例2である。評価結果を図5に示し、評価結果を基にして加熱温度と硬度の関係をグラフにしたものを図6に示す。
本試験例は、チタニア−シリカ及びペルオキソ型チタニアに代えて、従来において公知の結晶性のチタニアを用いたことを除けば試験例1及び2と同様の試験を行った比較試験である。評価結果を図7に示す。図7の評価結果から分かるように、従来において公知の結晶性のチタニアは、100℃程度の低温では硬度が増さず、B〜HBという硬度しか得られない。それ故、従来においては300℃以上という高温で加熱処理を行う必要があったと考える。
Claims (5)
- 光触媒機能を備えたペルオキソ型チタニア又は/及びチタニア−シリカを含有するコーティング材で表面が被覆された防汚ガラスの製造方法であって、
前記ペルオキソ型チタニア又は/及びチタニア−シリカを含有する光触媒溶液を一液でガラスの表面に塗布し、少なくとも100℃付近に存在する硬度増の臨界温度を超え、且つ、前記臨界温度に近い低温で加熱してコーティング膜を形成するものであり、
(i)前記光触媒溶液が、チタニア−シリカを含有する場合には、前記加熱温度を105℃〜160℃にし、2分以上であって5分以下の加熱によってコーティング膜を形成し、
(ii) 前記光触媒溶液が、ペルオキソ型チタニアを含有する場合には、前記加熱温度を140℃〜160℃にし、2分以上であって5分以下の加熱をしてコーティング膜を形成したことを特徴とする防汚ガラスの製造方法。 - 前記チタニア−シリカは、ペルオキソ型チタニア−シリカと、アナタース型チタニア−シリカの混合物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の防汚ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記ペルオキソ型チタニア−シリカとアナタース型チタニア−シリカを7:3〜9:1の比率で含有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の防汚ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記ペルオキソ型とアナタース型の混合物は、ペルオキソ型溶液が50%以上である混合溶液であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の防汚ガラスの製造方法。
- 洗浄などの前処理、前記混合溶液の塗布、前記加熱温度での熱処理、冷却処理を含む一連の製造工程による工場生産方法であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の防汚ガラスの製造方法。
