Description
、ガラスの軟化点が高くなり、480℃以下の温度で焼成しにくくなる。
もつ化合物、
A:Li、Na、K、Mg、Ca、Sr、Ba、Zn、Cu、Ni、Mn等
B:Zr、Ti、Sn、Nb、Al、Sc、Y等
M:P、Si、W、Mo等
若しくはこれらの混合物を用途に応じて選択し使用すればよい。特に、コーディエライトは、ビスマス系ガラスの熱的安定性を低下させる傾向が最も小さく、例えば500℃以上であってもガラスに失透が生じにくくなるため好ましい。また、ウイレマイトは、ビスマス系ガラスの流動性を低下させる傾向が最も小さく、PDPの製造工程において、二次焼成で良好な流動性を得ることが可能となるため、封着材料が二次焼成で的確に潰れ、PDPの気密性を十分に確保できるとともに、基板と封着材料の界面における反応を促進させ、前面基板と背面基板の封着強度を顕著に向上させる。特に、排気管と背面基板の封着においては、二次焼成でビスマス系封着材料が良好に流動することにより、排気管の封着にとって的確な封着形状を形成することができ、結果として封着材料と排気管および封着材料と基板間の界面でクラックが発生する事態を可及的に抑止できる。さらに、コーディエライトおよびウイレマイトは、低膨張であり、機械的強度にも優れる特長を有している。なお、酸化錫は、封着材料の機械的強度を向上させる目的で適量添加することが好ましい。
Claims (10)
- 下記酸化物基準のモル%表示で、Bi2O3 30〜60%、B2O3 10〜35%、Sb2O3 0.01〜5%を含有することを特徴とするビスマス系ガラス組成物。
- 下記酸化物基準のモル%表示で、Bi2O3 35〜60%、B2O3 10〜35%、Sb2O3 0.1〜5%を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物。
- モル%表示で、BaO+SrO+MgO+CaO 1〜15%、ZnO 5〜30%、CuO 0〜15%、Fe2O3 0〜5%を含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物。
- モル%表示で、CuO 0.1〜10%、Fe2O3 0.1〜5%を含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物。
- 実質的にPbOを含有しないことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物。
- ガラス粉末と耐火性フィラー粉末を含有する封着材料において、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物からなるガラス粉末 40〜95体積%と、耐火性フィラー粉末 5〜60体積%とを含有することを特徴とするビスマス系封着材料。
- ガラス粉末と耐火性フィラー粉末を含有する封着材料において、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のビスマス系ガラス組成物からなるガラス粉末 40〜90体積%と、耐火性フィラー粉末 10〜60体積%とを含有することを特徴とするビスマス系封着材料。
- 前記耐火性フィラー粉末が、ウイレマイト、コーディエライト、β−ユークリプタイト、ジルコン、酸化スズ、ムライト、石英ガラスおよびアルミナからなる群より選ばれた一種または二種以上の耐火性フィラー粉末であることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載のビスマス系封着材料。
- 封着または被覆用途に使用することを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれかに記載のビスマス系封着材料。
- 蛍光表示管またはプラズマディスプレイパネルの封着に使用することを特徴とする請求項6〜9のいずれかに記載のビスマス系封着材料。
