Description
*基地局が、(利用可能ウィンドウ中に)このタイプ1の節電クラスに属す接続を介して任意の量のデータを送信するイベント
*加入者機器が、このタイプ1の節電クラスに属すサービス(接続)に関するゼロではない帯域幅の要求を送信するイベント
*加入者機器が、加入者機器宛のバッファリングされたトラヒックの存在を示すトラヒック指示メッセージを受信するイベント
*加入者機器が、あるタイムアウト時間中に、トラヒック指示メッセージを受信することを失敗するイベント
このタイプのネットワークサービスの具体例は、ウェブ閲覧及びリモートのファイルサーバとの通信である。
パラメータListening window(リスニングウィンドウ)
パラメータFinal-sleep window(最後のスリープウィンドウ)
パラメータStart time for the first sleep window(最初のスリープウィンドウの開始時刻)

*加入者端末装置が、この加入者端末装置宛のバッファリングされたトラヒックの存在を示すトラヒック指示メッセージ(例えば、IEEE802.16規格のMOB_TRF-IND)を受信するイベント
*加入者端末装置が、あるタイムアウト時間中に、トラヒック指示メッセージ(例えば、IEEE802.16規格のMOB_TRF-IND)を受信することを失敗するイベント
このタイプに関連したサービスの具体例は、IEEE802.16規格に記載されているUGS、RT−VRタイプ、例えば音声(VoIP)の接続(サービス)及びリアルタイムサービスである。

パラメータStart time for the first sleep window(最初のスリープウィンドウの開始時刻)
このタイプに関連したサービスの具体例は、ブロードキャスト/マルチキャスト接続、及び管理動作(management operation)、例えばレンジング(Ranging)、接続の設定/変更/削除である。このタイプの節電クラスは、特定の管理メッセージ、例えばIEEE802.16規格のMOB_SLP-REQ/MOB_SLP-RSPトランザクションによって定義又はアクティブ化される。
パラメータStart time for the first sleep window(最初のスリープウィンドウの開始時刻)
パラメータListening window(リスニングウィンドウ)
スリープ手順をサポートする加入者端末装置は、MOB_SLP-REQメッセージを用いて、タイプ1及びタイプ2の特定の節電クラスの定義及び/又はアクティブ化を要求する。MOB_SLP-REQメッセージは、基本CID(basic CID)の加入者端末装置から、BSに伝送される。
1=節電クラスの定義が存在する。
1=節電クラスのアクティブ化
0=節電クラス(タイプ1、タイプ2のみ)の非アクティブ化
割り当てられた節電クラスの識別子(ID)。このIDは、加入者端末装置に関連する節電クラスのグループ内で一意的である。このIDは、節電クラスをアクティブ化/非アクティブ化するための更なるMOB_SLP-REQ/RSPメッセージに用いることができる。
最初のスリープウィンドウの開始フレーム番号
加入者端末装置のリスニング間隔(listening interval)に割り当てられた期間(フレーム単位)。タイプ2の節電クラスでは、パラメータListening intervalは定義されず、0として符号化しなければならない。
スリープウィンドウに割り当てられた初期期間(フレーム単位)。タイプ2の節電クラスでは、パラメータInitial-sleep windowは定義されず、0として符号化しなければならない。
スリープ間隔に割り当てられた最終値(フレーム単位)。タイプ2の節電クラスでは、パラメータFinal-sleep window baseは定義されず、0として符号化しなければならない。タイプ2の節電クラスでは、パラメータFinal-sleep window baseは、メッセージによって要求される単一のスリープウィンドウの期間の底(base)である。
パラメータFinal-sleep windowを計算するために、パラメータFinal-sleep window baseに乗算する係数の指数係数である。
以下の式を使用する。
final-sleep window=Final-sleep window base×2^(Final-sleep window exponent)
タイプ2の節電クラスでは、パラメータFinal-sleep window exponentは、メッセージによって要求される単一のスリープウィンドウの期間の指数である。
節電クラスを含む全ての接続の識別子。このリストは、ユニキャスト接続、マルチキャスト接続又は管理接続のいずれかを含むが、異なる種類の接続の組合せを含むことはできない。基本CID(basic CID)が符号化される場合、これは、全ての加入者端末装置の接続が単一のクラスに含まれることを意味する。
パラメータCID=0は、管理動作のために予約されている。
MOB_SLP-RSPメッセージは、MOB_SLP-REQメッセージに応答して、又は非送信請求メッセージとして、BSから基本CIDの加入者端末装置に伝送される。加入者端末装置は、接続を節電クラスに纏め、MOB_SLP-RSPメッセージに記載されている節電クラスを選択的にアクティブ化する。特定のクラスのアクティブ化が延期される場合(節電クラスのアクティブ化=「0」)、BSは、非送信請求のMOB-SLP_RSPメッセージによって、後にアクティブ化することを知らせることができる。
要求された節電クラスタイプ
1=節電クラスの定義が存在する。
1=節電クラスのアクティブ化
0=節電クラス(タイプ1、タイプ2のみ)の非アクティブ化
割り当てられた節電クラスの識別子(ID)。このIDは、加入者端末装置に関連する節電クラスのグループ内で一意的である。このIDは、節電クラスをアクティブ化/非アクティブ化するための更なるMOB_SLP-REQ/RSPメッセージに用いることができる。

Claims (14)
- 基地局と、少なくとも加入者機器とを含む無線ネットワークに属し、サービスに関連したトラヒック要求に関する1つ以上の特性によって特徴付けられる少なくとも2つの異なるサービスを受信する加入者機器において節電を実行する節電方法において、
上記少なくとも2つの異なるサービスを、上記トラヒック要求に関する特性に基づいて、該少なくとも2つの異なるサービスに関連した少なくとも2つの異なる節電クラスのうちの対応する節電クラスに分類するステップと、
上記節電クラス毎に、必要なリスニングウィンドウ及び必要なスリープウィンドウを決定するステップと、
上記基地局と上記加入者機器との間で通信が交換されない期間中の上記加入者機器の利用不能期間を決定するステップと、
節電手順を実行するパラメータを同期させるメッセージを、上記基地局と上記加入者機器との間で交換するステップと、
上記同期されたパラメータに基づいて、上記加入者機器において上記節電手順をアクティブ化するステップとを有する節電方法。 - 上記加入者機器によって、上記節電手順を開始する要求を送信するステップを更に有する請求項1記載の節電方法。
- 上記節電クラスのタイプは、
上記各スリープウィンドウの期間が、予め定められておらず、前のスリープウィンドウの期間から導出され、上記リスニングウィンドウの期間が一定であるタイプ1と、
全てのスリープウィンドウの期間が、同じであり、一定期間を有するリスニングウィンドウに挟まれているタイプ2と、
単一のスリープウィンドウと単一のリスニングウィンドウとを有するタイプ3とからなるグループから選択されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の節電方法。 - 上記タイプ1の節電クラスでは、該節電クラスに含まれるサービスに関連したトラヒックを、上記スリープウィンドウ及び上記リスニングウィンドウの期間中は交換できないことを特徴とする請求項3記載の節電方法。
- 上記タイプ2の節電クラスでは、該節電クラスに含まれるサービスに関連したトラヒックを、上記リスニングウィンドウの期間中に交換することができることを特徴とする請求項3記載の節電方法。
- 上記タイプ3の節電クラスでは、如何なるトラヒックも、上記スリープウィンドウの期間中は交換できないことを特徴とする請求項3記載の節電方法。
- 提供されるサービスが、上記タイプ1又はタイプ2の節電クラスのサービスであるとき、
上記基地局と上記加入者機器との間で管理メッセージを交換することによって、上記節電手順を非アクティブ化するステップを更に有する請求項4記載の節電方法。 - 上記タイプ1の節電クラスを非アクティブ化するステップは、
上記基地局が、利用可能ウィンドウ中に、当該タイプ1の節電クラスに属す接続を介して任意の量のデータを送信するイベントと、
上記加入者機器が、当該タイプ1の節電クラスに属すサービス(接続)に関するゼロではない帯域幅の要求を送信するイベントと、
上記加入者機器が、該加入者機器宛のバッファリングされたトラヒックの存在を示すトラヒック指示メッセージを受信するイベントと、
上記加入者機器が、あるタイムアウト時間中に、トラヒック指示メッセージを受信することを失敗するイベントと、
のうちの1つ以上のイベントの発生に応じて実行されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の節電方法。 - 上記タイプ2の節電クラスを非アクティブ化するステップは、上記基地局及び/又は上記加入者機器からの所定の管理メッセージの形式で送信されてきた明示的な要求に応じて実行されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の節電方法。
- 上記タイプ3の節電クラスを非アクティブ化するステップは、上記リスニングウィンドウの終了に応じて実行されることを特徴とする請求項6記載の節電方法。
- 無線ネットワークで動作する基地局において、
当該基地局と、当該基地局に関連した通信ネットワークとの間で通信を行うインタフェースと、
当該基地局が、サービスに関連したトラヒック要求に関する1つ以上の特性によって特徴付けられる少なくとも2つの異なるサービスを加入者機器に提供するものであり、少なくとも1つの加入者機器に通信トラヒックを送信し、及び該加入者機器から通信トラヒックを受信する少なくとも1つの無線トランシーバと、
上記少なくとも2つの異なるサービスのそれぞれを、上記サービスに関連したトラヒック要求に関する特性に基づいて、上記加入者機器によってサポートされているサービスに関連した少なくとも2つの異なる節電クラスのうちの対応する節電クラスに分類する分類手段と、
少なくとも1つのプロセッサとを備え、
上記プロセッサは、
上記節電クラス毎に、必要なリスニングウィンドウ及び必要なスリープウィンドウを決定し、
節電手順を実行する少なくとも1つのパラメータを同期させるメッセージを、上記加入者機器との間で交換し、
上記少なくとも2つの異なるサービスの提供中に、上記加入者機器について、当該基地局と上記加入者機器との間で通信が交換されない該加入者機器の時間の利用不能ウィンドウを決定し、
上記利用不能ウィンドウの期間中に、上記節電手順をアクティブ化するメッセージを上記加入者機器に送信することを特徴とする基地局。 - 無線ネットワークで動作し、サービスに関連したトラヒック要求に関する1つ以上の特性によって特徴付けられる、少なくとも2つの異なる節電クラスに関連する少なくとも2つの異なるサービスを受信する加入者端末装置において、
当該加入者端末装置と基地局との間で通信を行うインタフェースと、
上記基地局に通信トラヒックを送信し、該基地局から通信トラヒックを受信する少なくとも1つの無線トランシーバと、
節電手順を実行する少なくとも1つのパラメータを同期させるメッセージを、上記基地局と交換する少なくとも1つのプロセッサと、
上記基地局から受信された所定のメッセージに応じて、上記基地局と当該加入者端末装置との間で通信が交換されない時間の利用不能ウィンドウの期間中、上記少なくとも1つの無線トランシーバの電力を削減する電力コントローラとを備える加入者端末装置。 - 上記少なくとも1つのプロセッサは、上記基地局への通信の要求を開始することにより、該基地局に対して、当該加入者端末装置が上記節電手順を開始するか否か及び/又は該節電手順を何時開始するかを決定するように要求することを特徴とする請求項12記載の加入者端末装置。
- 上記基地局から受信された適切なメッセージ及び/又は信号に応じて、上記節電手順を実行することを特徴とする請求項12記載の加入者端末装置。
