Claims (24)
- 光源によって照射される光量に基づいた感知信号を生成する光感知部と、
基準光量に対応する所定の基準信号を生成する基準信号生成部と、
前記感知信号を前記基準信号と比較して制御信号を生成する制御信号生成部と、
前記制御信号によって前記光源の照度を制御するバックライト制御部と、
前記バックライト制御部の制御によって前記光源に電源を供給するバックライト駆動部と、
を備え、
前記制御信号生成部は、前記基準信号と前記感知信号との差を所定増幅率に増幅して差動信号を生成する増幅回路と、前記差動信号と前記基準信号に基づいて前記制御信号を生成するアナログ加算器とを含み、
前記増幅回路は、
前記感知信号を非反転入力端子に入力を受ける第1演算増幅器と、
前記基準信号を非反転入力端子に入力を受ける第2演算増幅器と、
前記第1及び第2演算増幅器の反転入力端子の間に接続される共通バッファー抵抗と、
前記第1演算増幅器の出力端子と電気的に接続された反転入力端子と、前記第2演算増幅器の出力端子と電気的に接続された非反転入力端子とを有する第3演算増幅器と、
を含むことを特徴とする、光源の照度制御装置。 - 前記光感知部と前記基準信号生成部は、共通接地を有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記増幅回路の増幅率は、2であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記制御信号(Vcon)は、前記基準信号に、前記基準信号と前記感知信号との差を足した値であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記バックライト制御部は、前記制御信号(Vcon)に基づいてパルス幅変調信号を発生するパルス幅変調発振器を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記第1演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第1抵抗と、
前記第2演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第2抵抗と、
前記第1演算増幅器の出力端子と前記第3演算増幅器の反転入力端子との間に接続される第3抵抗と、
前記第2演算増幅器の出力端子と前記第3演算増幅器の非反転入力端子との間に接続される第4抵抗と、
前記第3演算増幅器の非反転入力端子と接地との間に接続される第5抵抗と、
前記第3演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第6抵抗と、
を備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の光源の照度制御装置。 - 前記第1乃至第6抵抗は、全部同じ抵抗値を有し、前記バッファー抵抗の抵抗値は、前記第1乃至第6抵抗の抵抗値の2倍であることを特徴とする、請求項6記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記アナログ加算器は、接地された非反転入力端子と、
前記増幅回路の前記第3演算増幅器の出力端子及び前記第2演算増幅器の非反転入力端子とそれぞれ第7抵抗及び第8抵抗を通じて接続される反転入力端子と、
前記反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第9抵抗と、
を有することを特徴とする、請求項6記載の光源の照度制御装置。 - 前記第8及び第9抵抗は、同じ抵抗値を有し、前記第7抵抗の抵抗値は、前記第8及び第9抵抗の抵抗値の2倍であることを特徴とする、請求項8記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 前記第1乃至第6抵抗は、全部同じ抵抗値を有し、前記バッファー抵抗の抵抗値は、前記第1乃至第6抵抗の抵抗値の2倍であることを特徴とする、請求項9記載の光源の照度制御装置。
- 液晶表示パネルアセンブリと、
前記液晶表示パネルアセンブリに光を照射する光源を含むバックライト部と、
前記光源によって液晶表示パネルアセンブリに照射される光量に基づいた感知信号を生成する光感知部と、
前記液晶表示パネルアセンブリに照射される基準光量に対応する所定の基準信号を生成する基準信号生成部と、
前記感知信号を前記基準信号と比較して制御信号(Vcon)を生成する制御信号生成部と、
前記制御信号(Vcon)によって前記光源の照度を制御するバックライト制御部と、
前記バックライト制御部の制御によって前記光源に電源を供給するバックライト駆動部と、
を備え、
前記制御信号(Vcon)生成部は、前記基準信号と前記感知信号との差を所定増幅率に増幅して差動信号を生成する増幅回路と、前記差動信号と前記基準信号に基づいて前記制御信号(Vcon)を生成するアナログ加算器とを含み、
前記増幅回路は、
前記感知信号を非反転入力端子に入力を受ける第1演算増幅器と、
前記基準信号を非反転入力端子に入力を受ける第2演算増幅器と、
前記第1及び第2演算増幅器の反転入力端子の間に接続される共通バッファー抵抗と、
前記第1演算増幅器の出力端子と電気的に接続された反転入力端子と、前記第2演算増幅器の出力端子と電気的に接続された非反転入力端子とを有する第3演算増幅器と、
を備えることを特徴とする、液晶表示装置。 - 前記光感知部と前記基準信号生成部は、共通接地を有することを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記増幅回路の増幅率は、2であることを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記制御信号(Vcon)は、前記基準信号に、前記基準信号と前記感知信号との差を足した値であることを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記バックライト制御部は、前記制御信号(Vcon)に基づいてパルス幅変調信号を発生するパルス幅変調発振器を含むことを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第1抵抗と、
前記第2演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第2抵抗と、
前記第1演算増幅器の出力端子と前記第3演算増幅器の反転入力端子との間に接続される第3抵抗と、
前記第2演算増幅器の出力端子と前記第3演算増幅器の非反転入力端子との間に接続される第4抵抗と、
前記第3演算増幅器の非反転入力端子と接地との間に接続される第5抵抗と、
前記第3演算増幅器の反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第6抵抗と、
を備えることを特徴とする請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1乃至第6抵抗は、全部同じ抵抗値を有し、前記バッファー抵抗の抵抗値は、前記第1乃至第6抵抗の抵抗値の2倍であることを特徴とする、請求項16記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記アナログ加算器は、接地された非反転入力端子と、
前記増幅回路の前記第3演算増幅器の出力端子及び前記第2演算増幅器の非反転入力端子とそれぞれ第7抵抗及び第8抵抗を通じて接続される反転入力端子と、
前記反転入力端子と出力端子との間に接続される第9抵抗と、
を有することを特徴とする、請求項16記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第8及び第9抵抗は、同じ抵抗値を有し、前記第7抵抗の抵抗値は、前記第8及び第9抵抗の抵抗値の2倍であることを特徴とする、請求項18記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記感知部は、前記液晶表示パネルアセンブリ上に集積されることを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記感知部は、液晶表示パネルアセンブリ上の少なくとも2個の互いに異なる領域に集積されることを特徴とする、請求項20記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光源は、複数の発光ダイオードであることを特徴とする、請求項11記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記複数の発光ダイオードは、赤色、緑色及び青色の発光ダイオードをそれぞれ少なくとも一つ以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項22記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光感知部、基準信号生成部、制御信号生成部及びバックライト制御部を、赤色光、緑色光及び青色光に対してそれぞれ少なくとも一つ以上を備えることを特徴とする請求項23記載の液晶表示装置。
