Description

The present invention relates to an electronic device having a waterproof function.

In recent years, as electronic devices such as mobile phones have been provided with a waterproof function, the opportunities for using mobile phones in places where there is a risk of flooding such as baths are increasing. In a mobile phone having a waterproof function, the charging terminal is a metal part that must be exposed to the outside, and therefore, it is necessary to design it in consideration of corrosion resistance.

That is, even if the mobile phone has a waterproof function, if metal parts such as charging terminals are exposed to the outside of the housing, the exposed metal parts may corrode. It is necessary to process a metal part such as a charging terminal of the mobile phone into a state having corrosion resistance by performing a waterproofing process such as a gold plating process or a sealing process on the part. However, when the metal portion exposed from the casing is subjected to gold plating, there is a problem that the manufacturing cost increases as the area for the gold plating process increases.

Therefore, a protective case for an electronic device has been proposed that can satisfactorily protect electrical components such as a rechargeable battery and a protection circuit accommodated therein without causing an increase in cost (see Patent Document 1). The protective case of the electronic device is a conductive battery pack in which a protective circuit in which a plurality of electronic components are mounted and a rechargeable battery that is electrically connected to the protective circuit are housed in a resin container. In addition, a terminal piece that can be electrically connected to a predetermined external object is integrally formed in a container by insert molding.
JP-A-11-185719

As described in Patent Literature 1, when the terminal piece is integrally insert-molded with the exterior casing, there is a problem that the dimensions of the exterior casing are likely to vary. If there are variations in the dimensions of the exterior housing, the reliability of the waterproof function may be reduced. Further, the terminal piece (first terminal piece 4 shown in FIG. 4) of Patent Document 1 is difficult to manufacture because it cannot be removed from the mold in a simple mold structure having no slide mechanism. It seems to be. Furthermore, Patent Document 1 describes a configuration in which a terminal formed on the surface of a substrate (protection circuit) is brought into conduction with a rechargeable battery by contacting the terminal piece. It is difficult to use the substrate as a support member because there is no guarantee that the terminal of the terminal is in contact with the terminal piece stably.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide an electronic device having a waterproof function, which can reduce the manufacturing cost without impairing the reliability of the waterproof function. And

In order to solve the above-described problems, an electronic device according to the present invention is an electronic device including a charging terminal unit used for charging with an external device and a housing in which the charging terminal unit is incorporated. The unit is formed in a flat plate shape with a pair of metal members, and the pair of metal members are fitted into the outer side surface of the resin member and the resin member that is spaced and fitted so as to be exposed from both surfaces of the flat plate, respectively. A ring-shaped rubber member, and the casing includes a pair of windows provided so as to penetrate the inside and outside of the casing, and the pair of windows on the inner surface of the casing. A first groove formed in a shape for accommodating the resin member of the charging terminal unit, and the pair of metal members are exposed to the outside of the casing through the pair of windows, respectively, and the casing Exposed inside the body, And, as the rubber member is close contact with the outer periphery of the said first groove, wherein the charging terminal unit is integrated into the housing by being fitted into said first groove.

According to the electronic device of the present invention, the charging terminal unit is formed as a separate piece from the housing, the exposed metal portion is reduced to reduce the gold plating area as much as possible, and all the fitting portions of the waterproof packing are provided. By forming the resin member, the manufacturing cost can be reduced without impairing the reliability of the waterproof function.

Embodiments of an electronic apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. As an electronic apparatus according to the present invention, a clamshell mobile phone 1 in which a plurality of housings are connected so as to be openable and closable will be described as an example. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the cellular phone 1 in an opened state.

As shown in FIG. 1, the mobile phone 1 is mainly composed of a rectangular plate-shaped upper housing 10 and a lower housing 11 having substantially the same shape as the upper housing 10. The upper housing 10 and the lower housing 11 are laminated so as to cover one surface in a closed state. The upper housing 10 and the lower housing 11 are hinged so as to sandwich the hinge portion 12, and the upper housing 10 is relative to the lower housing 11 with the hinge portion 12 as an axis in the X direction of FIG. It is formed so as to be rotatable by a predetermined angle. The cellular phone 1 is transformed from a closed state to an open state or from an open state to a closed state by rotating the upper housing 10 with respect to the lower housing 11.

On the inner surface of the upper housing 10 (the surface facing the lower housing 11), a liquid crystal display 13 for displaying a display screen 60 including information such as characters and images, and a speaker 14 for outputting sound. Is provided. The liquid crystal display 13 and the speaker 14 are covered with the lower casing 11 and not exposed to the outside when the mobile phone 1 is closed, but the upper casing 10 is rotated with respect to the lower casing 11. When it is deformed into an open state, it is exposed to the outside.

On the inner surface of the lower housing 11 (the surface facing the upper housing 10), for example, a cross key for moving the cursor and display screen up and down, left and right, a selection key for selecting an item, and a number There are provided operation keys 15 such as a numeric key for inputting "a" and a transmission key for performing transmission processing. The lower casing 11 is provided with a microphone 16 for collecting sound. These operation keys 15 and microphone 16 are covered with the upper casing 10 and are not exposed to the outside when the cellular phone 1 is closed, but the upper casing 10 is rotated with respect to the lower casing 11. When it is deformed into an open state, it is exposed to the outside.

A charging terminal for supplying power to the mobile phone 1 from the outside or charging the built-in battery 64 by connecting a connection terminal of an external battery or a connection terminal of a charger to the side surface of the lower housing 11. A unit 17 is provided. Since the charging terminal unit 17 is exposed to the outside even when the cellular phone 1 is in the closed state or the opened state, the connection terminal of the external battery or the connection terminal of the charger can be connected at any time.

Since the charging terminal unit 17 is formed of a metal material and is always exposed to the outside of the mobile phone 1, the charging terminal unit 17 is resistant to the charging terminal unit 17 in order to have a waterproof function. It is necessary to design in consideration of corrosiveness and to prevent water from entering the lower housing 11. Therefore, in the mobile phone 1 of the present invention, the charging terminal unit 17 is formed as a separate piece from the lower casing 11, and only a part of the metal portion of the charging terminal unit 17 is exposed from the lower casing 11, By using a rubber packing (rubber member 23 described later) to prevent water in the lower casing 11 from being flooded, a highly reliable waterproof function is realized.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged perspective view showing a state in which the charging terminal unit 17 is incorporated in the lower housing 11. As shown in FIG. 2, the charging terminal unit 17 includes a first metal member 20, a second metal member 21, a resin member 22, and a rubber member 23. On the other hand, the lower housing 11 includes a pair of window portions 18 penetrating inward and outward. The charging terminal unit is so exposed that the metal portions (first metal member 20 and second metal member 21) of the charging terminal unit 17 housed in the lower housing 11 are exposed to the outside through the window 18. 17 is incorporated in the lower housing 11.

FIG. 3 shows an exploded view of the charging terminal unit 17. The first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are members for electrically conducting the inside and outside of the lower housing 11, and the resin member 22 is composed of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 20. The rubber member 23 covers the metal member 21 and protects the metal member 21 from corrosion. The rubber member 23 prevents water from entering the lower housing 11 through the charging terminal unit 17 (window portion 18). It is a ring-shaped member for preventing. The charging terminal unit 17 is formed by fitting the first metal member 20, the second metal member 21, and the rubber member 23 into the resin member 22.

When the metal member 21 is fitted into the resin member 22, the first flat plate portions 30 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are fitted into the groove portions 44, respectively.

Further, an inner cut portion 45 located inside the flat plate portion 40 and an outer cut portion 45a located outside the flat plate portion 40 are provided on two sides in the short side direction of the flat plate portion 40 at the outer edge of the groove portion 44, respectively. It has been. The inner cut portion 45 is provided so as to penetrate from the outer surface 40 a to the inner surface 40 b of the flat plate portion 40. These notches 45 and 45 a are connected portions 31 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 when the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are fitted into the resin member 22. Is fitted in the inner cut portion 45 in a state where the engaging piece 34 of the first flat plate portion 30 penetrates the outer cut portion 45a of the resin member 22, respectively.

The flat plate part 30 is provided with a concave base part 46 over the entire periphery on the side surface. When the ring-shaped rubber member 23 is fitted into the resin member 22, the ring-shaped rubber member 23 is fixed to the position of the base portion 46. The concave shape of the pedestal portion 46 is provided in substantially the same shape as the rubber member 23. The depth of the pedestal portion 46 is such that when the rubber member 23 is fitted, the rubber member 23 extends from the pedestal portion 46 to the entire periphery. It is set to a depth that protrudes across.

Two groove portions 47 are provided on the inner surface 40b of the flat plate portion 40 beside the recess 42a so as to sandwich the recess 42a in the longitudinal direction. These groove portions 47 are formed in the same shape as the second flat plate portion 32 of the first metal member 20 and the second flat plate portion 32 of the second metal member 21. When the second metal member 21 is fitted into the resin member 22, the first metal member 20 and the second flat plate portion 32 of the second metal member 21 are fitted into the groove portions 47, respectively.

In addition, on the two sides in the short side direction of the flat plate portion 40 at the outer edge of the groove portion 47, an inner cut portion 48 located inside the flat plate portion 40 and an outer cut portion 48a located outside the flat plate portion 40 are provided. It has been. The inner cut portion 48 penetrates to the inner cut portion 45 of the outer surface 40 a of the flat plate portion 40. These notches 48 and 48 a are connected portions 31 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 when the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are fitted into the resin member 22. Is inserted into the inner cut portion 48 of the resin member 22, and the locking piece 36 of the second flat plate portion 32 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 penetrates the outer cut portion 48 a of the resin member 22. It is inserted in the state.

In the pair of tongue pieces 41, rectangular grooves 49 are provided on the surface facing the flat plate portion 40, and circular through holes 50 are provided in the center of these grooves 49. ing. The groove portion 49 is formed in the same shape as the third flat plate portion 33 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21, and the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are the resin member 22. The third flat plate portion 33 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 is fitted into the groove portion 49 of the tongue piece 41, respectively. At this time, in the resin member 22, the third flat plate portions of the fitted metal members 20 and 21 are exposed through the circular through hole 50.

Further, at the outer edge of the groove portion 49 of one of the pair of tongue pieces 41 (the one contacting the second metal member 21), cut portions 51 are formed on two sides in the short side direction of the flat plate portion 40 of the resin member 22. When the second metal member 21 is fitted into the resin member 22, the pair of locking pieces 37 of the third flat plate portion 33 of the second metal member 21 causes these cut portions 51 to be inserted. Each penetrates.

When the charging terminal unit 17 is formed using the first metal member 20, the second metal member 21, the resin member 22, and the rubber member 23, as shown in FIG. The first metal member 20 and the second metal are disposed on the resin member 22 so that the connecting portion 31 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 is positioned in the inner cut portion 45 of the outer surface 40a of the portion 40. The member 21 is incorporated, and the first metal member 20 and the first flat plate portion 30 of the second metal member 21 are fitted into the groove portions 44 of the outer surface 40a.

As shown in FIG. 7B, the first flat plate portion 32 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 is fitted into the groove portion 47 of the inner surface 40 b of the flat plate portion 40 of the resin member 22. At this time, the third flat plate portion 33 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 is fitted into the groove portion 49 of the tongue piece 41 of the resin member 22. Further, the ring-shaped rubber member 23 is fitted to the base portion 46 so as to cover the outer surface of the flat plate portion 40 of the resin member 22 over the entire circumference.

As a result, as shown in FIGS. 7A and 7C, the first flat plate portions 30 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are exposed from the outer surface 40a of the resin member 22, respectively. . Further, as shown in FIGS. 7B and 7C, the second flat plate 32 and the third flat plate 33 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 from the inner surface 40b of the resin member 22 are used. Are exposed. Further, between the exposed first flat plate portion 30 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 and the exposed second flat plate portion 32 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21. The rubber member 23 is fixed at the position. Therefore, in the charging terminal unit 17, the metal portions exposed to the outside are only the first plane portion 30, the second plane portion 32, and the third plane portion 33 of the metal members 20 and 21.

The charging terminal unit 17 formed in this way is incorporated into the lower housing 11 as shown in FIG. The lower housing 11 includes a pair of window portions 18 at a predetermined position on the inner side surface in the same shape as the flat plate portion 40 of the resin member 22 of the charging terminal unit 17 (a shape that accommodates the resin member 22). A formed groove 19 is provided. In addition, the lower housing 11 includes a groove portion 19a provided in a predetermined size at a predetermined position on the inner bottom surface. The charging terminal unit 17 is in a state in which the first flat plate portion 30 of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 is in contact with the window portion 18 in the groove portion 19 on the inner side surface of the lower housing 11. It is inserted. Thereby, in a state where the charging terminal unit 17 is fitted in the lower housing 11, the first flat plate portions 30 of the metal members 20 and 21 are respectively exposed from the window portion 18 of the lower housing 11. By connecting the connection terminal of the external battery or the charger to the first flat plate portion 30 exposed from the window portion 18 of the lower housing 11, power is supplied to the mobile phone 1.

At this time, the rubber member 23 fitted into the outer peripheral (outer side) portion of the resin member 22 contacts the groove portion 19 of the lower housing 11 so as to be in close contact with each other, so that the rubber member 23 serves as a waterproof packing. This prevents water from entering the lower housing 11 through the window 18.

After the charging terminal unit 17 is fitted into the lower housing 11, the charging terminal unit 17 is further fixed by the fixing member 60. That is, the fixing member 60 includes a protrusion 61, the protrusion 61 abuts on the charging terminal unit 17 so as to press it outward, and the protrusion 61 a is a groove provided on the inner bottom surface of the lower housing 11. The charging terminal unit 17 is fixed to the lower housing 11 by being fitted into 19a. As a result, the charging terminal unit 17 is pressed by the lower casing 11 and the fixing member 60, and even when a strong water pressure is applied to the lower casing 11 or when the lower casing 11 is shaken strongly, the position is maintained. There is no deviation.

Further, after the charging terminal unit 17 is fixed by the fixing member 60, the substrate member 62 is incorporated into the lower housing 11 as shown in FIG. 9. At this time, the protrusion 63 provided on the board member 62 abuts the charging terminal unit 17 incorporated in the lower housing 11 so as to press it outward, so that the charging terminal unit 17 is fixed to the fixing member. In addition to 60, the substrate member 62 is fixed in a double manner.

In general, the substrate dimensions tend to vary. When the charging terminal unit 17 is formed of only a rigid body without having the rubber member 23, the rigid body substrate and the rigid body are in contact with each other, so that it is severe to use the substrate as a support member. Dimension management and adjustment are required. However, in the mobile phone 1 of the present invention, the rubber member 23 of the charging terminal unit 17 is fixed in close contact with the outer periphery of the groove portion 19 of the lower housing 11, so that the substrate member 62 has some variation in dimensions. Even if it exists, it becomes possible to absorb the variation using the elasticity of the rubber member 23 and to fix the charging terminal unit 17 with the board member 62.

Then, as shown in FIGS. 10A to 10C, a built-in battery 64 is housed in the upper portion of the board member 62 inside the lower housing 11. When the connection terminal of the internal battery 64 comes into contact with the third flat plate portion 33 of the charging terminal unit 17, electric power is supplied to the internal battery 64 from an external battery, a charger, or the like connected to the first flat plate member 31. The

As described above, when the lower housing 11 is submerged in a state where the charging terminal unit 17 is incorporated in the lower housing 11, the rubber member 23 that is in close contact with the outer periphery of the groove portion 19 of the lower housing 11 is used. Since water is prevented from entering the inside, as shown in FIG. 11, the outer side of the lower housing 11 (the first flat plate portion 30 side) is submerged with the rubber member 23 of the charging terminal unit 17 as a boundary. However, the inner side of the lower housing 11 (the second flat plate portion 32 and the third flat plate portion 33 side) is prevented from being submerged.

In the charging terminal unit 17, the metal portions exposed from the resin member 22 are the first flat plate portion 30, the second flat plate portion 32, and the third flat plate of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21. When the charging terminal unit 17 is fitted into the lower housing 11, the portion of the metal portion that is exposed outside (submerged in) the rubber member 23 is the first portion 33. Since it is limited to one flat plate portion 30, only the first flat plate portion 30 may be subjected to a plating process such as gold plating in order to prevent corrosion.

Note that the shapes of the first metal member 20 and the second metal member 21 are not limited to this, and the first flat plate portion 30 is exposed to the outside of the lower housing 11, and the second flat plate portion 32 or the third metal member 21 is exposed. As long as the flat plate portion 33 is exposed to the inside of the lower housing 11, it may be formed in an arbitrary shape.

Further, all the parts where the rubber member 23 serving as a waterproof packing fits in the cellular phone 1 are formed of a resin material (the base portion 46 of the resin member 22). When fitting into the unit 17 or when incorporating the charging terminal unit 17 into the lower casing 11, the possibility of scratching the rubber member 23 is reduced, and the reliability of the waterproof function can be improved. Become.

According to the electronic device (mobile phone 1) according to the present invention, the charging terminal unit 17 is formed as a separate piece from the lower casing 11, and water is immersed into the casing 11 using the rubber packing (rubber member 23). By preventing the metal portion that is likely to be submerged in the charging terminal unit 17, it is possible to reduce the region where gold plating is performed as much as possible. Thereby, the manufacturing cost of the mobile phone 1 having a waterproof function can be greatly reduced. Moreover, the reliability of the waterproof function can be improved by forming all the fitting portions of the rubber member 23 to be the waterproof packing with the resin member 22.

In addition, according to the electronic device (mobile phone 1) according to the present invention, the charging terminal unit 17 is fixed to the lower casing 11 using the fixing member 60, so that a strong water pressure is applied to the electronic device or the electronic device is Even when it is strongly shaken, the position of the charging terminal unit 17 is prevented from shifting. Furthermore, by providing a protrusion 63 that contacts the charging terminal unit 17 in the board member 62 and fixing the charging terminal unit 17 to the lower housing 11 by bringing the board member 62 into contact with the charging terminal unit 17, The charging terminal unit 17 can be firmly fixed inside the lower housing 11.

本発明の説明として、携帯電話機1について説明したが、これに限らず、PHS(Personal Handyphone System)、PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)、携帯ゲーム機、携帯テレビ等、防水加工を施す可能性がある電子機器であれば、任意の電子機器であって良い。   As an explanation of the present invention, the mobile phone 1 has been described. Any device may be used as long as it is a device.
