毛周期の休止期にあるC3Hマウス(7週齢)を用い、小川らの方法(フレグランスジャーナル,Vol.17,No.5,P.20−29,1989)に準拠して実験を行った。1試料につきマウス8匹を用いた。マウスの背部体毛を電気バリカン及び電気シェーバーにて背部全体を除毛した。翌日より1日1回100μLずつ週5回、16日間サンプル塗布を行った。各マウスについて除毛後16日目の除毛面積に対する毛再生面積の割合(%)を求め、結果を下記評価基準に基づき、「著効」、「有効」、「無効」を判断し、結果をマウスの匹数で示した。

著効:毛再生面積の割合70%超
有効:毛再生面積の割合50〜70%
無効:毛再生面積の割合50%未満
[Measurement of hair-growth effect (measurement of hair-growth effect in mice)]
Experiments were carried out using C3H mice (7 weeks old) in the resting period of the hair cycle according to the method of Ogawa et al. (Fragrance Journal, Vol. 17, No. 5, P. 20-29, 1989). Eight mice were used per sample. The entire back of the mouse was removed with an electric clipper and an electric shaver. From the next day, 100 μL was applied once a day, 5 times a week for 16 days.
