Claims (4)
- 砥粒が溶融ガラス体により結合されたビトリファイド砥石の製造方法であって、
前記溶融ガラス体の材料として、前記砥粒の平均粒径に対して1.4乃至2.6倍の範囲内の平均粒径を有するビトリファイド結合剤が用いられ、
該ビトリファイド結合剤は、67乃至99%の範囲内の変動係数を有することを特徴とするビトリファイド砥石の製造方法。 - 前記砥粒、前記ビトリファイド結合剤、成形バインダー、気孔形成剤を混合する攪拌工程と、
該攪拌工程において混合された混合材料を所定の形状に加圧成形して成形品を作成する成形工程と、
該成形工程において成形された成形品を焼成して前記ビトリファイド結合剤を溶融させ、該成形品を焼結させる焼成工程と
を、含むことを特徴とする請求項1のビトリファイド砥石の製造方法。 - 前記ビトリファイド砥石は、超仕上げに用いられるものであることを特徴とする請求項1または2のいずれかのビトリファイド砥石の製造方法。
- 前記砥粒は、アルミナまたはシリコンカーバイト、或いはそれらの混合物である請求項3のビトリファイド砥石の製造方法。
