Description
金属製フィルターとして、直径180mmで高さ203mmの円筒形である市販の金属製フィルターを用いた。この金属製フィルター内に金属製ファイバーメッシュ(直径40μ、坪量500g/m2)が積層して設置され、このファイバーメッシュによって排ガス中のパティキュレートを捕集するメカニズムである。まず始めに金属製フィルターを1100℃で1時間酸化処理を行った。次いで、羽毛状構造を有するアルミナゾル100部にイオン交換水15.2部を加え、非イオン系湿潤剤0.5部、非イオン系消泡剤0.5部を添加して1時間攪拌し、アルミナを均一に分散したスラリーを作製した。このスラリーに酸化処理した金属製フィルターを1分間含浸して引上げ、反転してさらに1分間含浸した。
実施の形態1の排ガス浄化装置について、以下のような排ガス浄化試験を行った。
実施の形態1と同様の方法で、直径180mmで高さ203mmの円筒形である市販の金属製フィルターにアルミナを金属製フィルターに対して約1wt%担持し、セリアと硫酸セシウムを金属製フィルターに対してそれぞれ約0.048wt%、約0.078wt%担持し、さらに白金を金属製フィルターに対して約0.25wt%担持した排ガス浄化材を用意した。この排ガス浄化材を前段に配置し、後段に実施の形態1の排ガス浄化材を配置し2段構成にした排ガス浄化装置を実施の形態2とした(図3参照)。
実施の形態2の排ガス浄化装置について、評価例1と同様の排ガス浄化試験を行った。

Claims (5)
- 前段に排ガス浄化材を後段にDPFを配置する2段構成のディーゼル排ガス浄化装置において、前記排ガス浄化材として金属製発泡構造や金属製不織布構造や金属製ファイバーメッシュ構造を有する金属製フィルターを基材とし、パティキュレート成分中の液体あるいは固体状の高分子量炭化水素微粒子を燃焼させることができる貴金属触媒と、パティキュレート成分中の固体状炭素微粒子を燃焼させることができるアルカリ金属塩の酸化触媒として硫酸セシウムおよび希土類酸化物の助触媒を担持したメタルDPFを用いたことを特徴とする排ガス浄化材の使用方法。
- 後段のDPFとしてメタルDPFを用いたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排ガス浄化材の使用方法。
- 後段にアルカリ金属塩の酸化触媒を担持したDPFを用いたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排ガス浄化材の使用方法。
- 後段にアルカリ金属塩の酸化触媒を担持していないDPFを用いたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排ガス浄化材の使用方法。
- 排ガス浄化材として、アルミナを担体とし白金触媒と硫酸セシウムとセリアとを用いたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一つに記載の排ガス浄化材の使用方法。
