第1スペーサ層16の厚さと第2スペーサ層20の厚さとが等しいことを特徴としている。他の構成については、本第1実施形態の理解に特に重要とは思われないため説明を適宜省略する。尚、図1中の符号26は、再生用のフォトディテクタであり、第1情報層14の反射率R1、第2情報層18の反射率R2、第3情報層22の反射率R3は、いずれもフォトディテクタ26で検出される反射率である。

2層以上のスペーサ層を挟んで配置された第1スペーサ層の厚さと第n−1スペーサ層の厚さが等しい構成としてもよい。第1情報層14の反射率R1、第2情報層18の反射率R2、第n−1情報層の反射率Rn−1、第n情報層の反射率Rnはいずれも0.01(1(%))以上であることが好ましい。従って、

であることが好ましい。
前記第1実施形態の光記録媒体10と構成が等しい3層構造の4種類のサンプルA、B、C及びDを作製した。これらサンプルA〜Dの具体的な構成を表1に示す。

前記第2実施形態の光記録媒体30と構成が等しい4層構造の4種類のサンプルE、F、G及びHを作製した。これらサンプルE〜Hの具体的な構成を表2に示す。
上記実験例2に対し、第2スペーサ層の厚さも第1スペーサ層の厚さ及び第3スペーサ層の厚さと等しい4層構造の1種類のサンプルJを作製した。サンプルJの具体的な構成を表3に示す。
前記第5実施形態の光記録媒体60と構成が等しい4層構造の1種類のサンプルKを作製した。サンプルKの具体的な構成を表4に示す。
前記第6実施形態の光記録媒体70と構成が等しい5層構造の1種類のサンプルLを作製した。サンプルLの具体的な構成を表5に示す。
前記第1実施形態の光記録媒体10と構成が等しい3層構造の4種類の光記録媒体の計算モデルS1〜S4を想定し、(R2×R3×R2)/R1の値を算出した。
前記第2実施形態の光記録媒体30と構成が等しい4層構造の4種類の光記録媒体の計算モデルS5〜S8を想定し、(R2×R3×R4×2)/R1の値を算出した。

前記第1情報層の反射率をR1、前記第2情報層の反射率をR2、前記第3情報層の反射率をR3として次の式(I)を満足し、

前記第1スペーサ層の厚さと前記第2スペーサ層の厚さとが等しいことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 基板と、第1情報層と、第1スペーサ層と、第2情報層と、第2スペーサ層と、第3情報層と、第3スペーサ層と、第4情報層と、前記基板よりも薄いカバー層と、を有する4層以上の多層構造であり、これらの層がこの順で前記基板の上に配置され、

前記第1情報層の反射率をR1、前記第2情報層の反射率をR2、前記第n−1情報層の反射率をRn−1、前記第n情報層の反射率をRnとして次の式(III)を満足し、

前記第1スペーサ層の厚さと前記第n−1スペーサ層の厚さとが等しく、前記第1スペーサ層の厚さと前記第2スペーサ層の厚さとの差が3μm以上であることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれかにおいて、
光入射面から厚さ方向に50μm以上の範囲に総ての情報層が設置されたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれかにおいて、
光入射面から厚さ方向に120μm以下の範囲に総ての情報層が設置されたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれかにおいて、
前記情報層のうちの少なくとも2層の情報層の再生において異なる再生パワーの再生用レーザー光を照射することを指示する情報が記録されたことを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至7に記載のいずれかの光記録媒体に含まれる前記情報層のうちの少なくとも2層の情報層の再生において異なる再生パワーの再生用レーザー光を照射して前記各情報層に記録された情報を再生することを特徴とする光記録媒体の再生方法。
