Description
図1は、本発明による内燃機関の制御装置を適用される筒内噴射式内燃機関(エンジン)の制御システムの全体構成を示している。
中心空燃比補正手段207は、第1の触媒内空燃比推定部207Aと、第2の触媒内空燃比推定部207Bと、中心空燃比補正部207Cとを有する。
このタイムチャートでは、推定空燃比Aがストイキである(リアO2センサ電圧VO2がリッチ判定電圧RVO2とリーン判定電圧LVO2の間にある)のに対し、推定空燃比Bがリーンとなる(酸素貯蔵量がHVOSよりも大きい)ため、中心空燃比をリーン補正している。
この実施形態では、エンジン制御装置は、酸素貯蔵量演算手段206と、中心空燃比補正手段207と、空燃比制御手段208に加えて、触媒劣化判定手段708を有する。
診断ステージ制御1702は、触媒診断許可手段1701により診断が許可された際に、酸素貯蔵量演算手段901により算出される酸素貯蔵量(VOS)と、リアO2センサ126の出力(VRO2)に基づいて診断ステージ(後述)を制御する。
ステージ1では、触媒120の初期化のために、目標空燃比をリッチとし、実空燃比を、リアO2センサ電圧VO2がステージ1終了判定電圧ST1VO2になるまで、リッチに制御している。

Claims (5)
- 三元触媒に流入する空気量と、前記三元触媒の上流に設置したフロント空燃比センサにより検出される実空燃比と、前記三元触媒の酸素貯蔵量の増減の基準である中心空燃比と、に基づいて前記三元触媒の酸素貯蔵量を演算する酸素貯蔵量演算手段を備えた内燃機関の制御装置であって、
運転状態に基づいて触媒診断の実行の許可を判定する診断許可判定手段と、
該診断許可判定手段により前記触媒診断の実行が許可された際に、前記酸素貯蔵量演算手段の出力と前記リア空燃比センサの出力に基づき診断処理を制御する診断ステージ制御手段と、
前記診断ステージ制御手段の出力に基づいて目標空燃比を切り替える目標空燃比切り替え手段と、
前記空燃比切り替え手段により実空燃比が中心空燃比からずれている間に前記三元触媒内の酸素貯蔵能力を演算する酸素貯蔵能力演算手段と、
前記酸素貯蔵能力に基づいて前記三元触媒の劣化を判定する触媒劣化判定手段と、
を備えたこと特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記診断ステージ制御手段は、前記リア空燃比センサの出力もしくは前記酸素貯蔵量のいずれか一方に基づいて診断ステージを制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記実空燃比が目標空燃比になるように空燃比を制御する空燃比制御手段と、
前記三元触媒の下流のリア空燃比センサの出力に基づいてリッチあるいはリーン判定するリッチ・リーン判定手段と、
前記酸素貯蔵量演算手段により演算される酸素貯蔵量と前記リア空燃比センサの出力に基づいて前記中心空燃比を補正する中心空燃比補正手段と、
前記酸素貯蔵量演算手段により演算される酸素貯蔵量に基づいて前記目標空燃比を補正する第1の目標空燃比補正手段と、
前記リッチ・リーン判定手段によってリッチあるいはリーン判定された時に前記目標空燃比を補正する第2の目標空燃比補正手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記リッチ・リーン判定手段によってリッチあるいはリーン判定された時には、前記中心空燃比補正手段による中心空燃比補正、または、前記第2の目標空燃比補正手段による前記リア空燃比センサの出力をストイキにするための目標空燃比補正の少なくとも一方を行うことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記リッチ・リーン判定手段によってリッチあるいはリーン判定された時以外は、前記第1の目標空燃比補正手段により前記三元触媒の酸素貯蔵量が所定範囲に収まるように目標空燃比を補正することを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
