Description

本発明は、照明構造に関し、特に車両のドア近傍を照射する照明構造に関するものである。
従来、この種の照明構造として、乗員が乗り降りする車両の側部に形成された開口部の下面に設けられた照明装置が開示されている（例えば、特許文献１）。この照明装置は、開口部に設けられた扉体としてのドアを開放した場合に点灯することにより、車両に乗り降りする際の乗員の足元を照らすことで、特に夜間において乗員がより容易に車両に乗り降りすることができる。
また、ドアの内面に形成された収納部の上方に設けられた照明装置が開示されている（例えば、特許文献２）。この照明装置は、光を上方から収納部内へ向かって照射することにより、収納部内を照らし、収容した物品を乗員に容易に視認させることができる。

しかしながら、上記した特許文献では、開口部の周辺、または収納部内のいずれか一方しか照射することができない、という問題があった。
そこで、本発明は、簡易な構成で開口部の周辺、及び収納部内の両方を照射することができる照明構造を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の請求項１に係る発明は、乗員が乗り降り可能な開口部と、前記開口部を開閉自在とし、内面に収納部を有する扉体とを備えた車両の前記開口部近傍を照射する照明構造であって、前記開口部の下部に設けられる照明装置と、前記収納部の底面に設けられる透光性部材とを備えることを特徴とする。
本発明の請求項２に係る発明は、前記透光性部材は、前記扉体を閉じたときに前記照明装置の上方に配置される前記収納部の底面に設けられることを特徴とする。
本発明の請求項３に係る発明は、前記収納部の底面は、外底と内底とからなる二重構造で形成され、延期透光性部材は、前記外底に設けられる第１透光性部材と、前記内底に設けられる第２透光性部材とからなり、前記内底に設ける前記透光性部材は、前記外底に設ける前記透光性部材より機械的強度が高いことを特徴とする。
本発明の請求項４に係る発明は、前記透光性部材は、入射した光を前記収納部内に拡散可能に形成されていることを特徴とする。
本発明の請求項１によれば、乗員が乗り降りする際に開口部を照射する照明装置を収納部の照明として兼用することで、収納部内を照射する手段を別に設定していた従来に比べ、部品点数を省略することができるので、より簡易な構成で開口部の周辺、及び収納部内の両方を照射することができる。
本発明の請求項２によれば、照明装置から出射された光を少ない電力で、かつ効率よく収納部内へ導くことができるので、より確実に収納部内を照明することができる。
本発明の請求項３によれば、収納部に収容した物品などを安定的に保持することができる。
本発明の請求項４によれば、入射した光を拡散光として出射することにより、収納部内のより広い範囲を照明することができる。
本発明に係る照明構造の全体構成を示す斜視図である。 本発明に係る照明構造の構成を示す縦断面図である。
以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施形態について詳細に説明する。
図1に示す照明構造１は、乗員が乗り降り可能な車両２の開口部３に設けられた照明装置４を備える。照明装置４は、開口部３の下端部3aに設けられたステップガーニッシュ５に固定されている。尚、照明構造１は、車両２の左右で同様の構成であるため、車両２の右側についてのみ説明することとする。
開口部３は、本実施形態では、車両２の側面に形成されている。当該開口部３には、当該開口部３を閉塞する扉体としてのドア６が、開閉自在に設けられている。ドア６は、開口部３の前方縁3bけられたヒンジ７，７により軸支されている。
ドア６の内面には、把持部８や収納部９が形成されたドアライニング10が設けられている。把持部８には、上面にウィンドウを開閉するボタン群11や、ドア６を開閉する際に乗員が指を掛ける指掛穴12などが形成されている。
ステップガーニッシュ５は、図2に示すように、車体下端部のフレーム15に沿う形状に形成されたベース16を有し、当該ベース16に照明装置４が保持されている。このステップガーニッシュ５の内縁部5a、フレーム15との間に隙間G1が形成されている。
照明装置４は、薄い板状に形成され、図示しないが、例えばＬＥＤ（Light Emitting Diode）で構成される光源と、前記光源から出射された光を導く導光板とを備え、当該導光板の両面、本実施例では上下面から前記光を外部に放射し得るように構成されている。導光板は、例えばアクリル樹脂等で形成した透明又は半透明の部材を用いることができる。尚、光源は、図示しないが、車載用電源に電気的に接続されており、車両２のスモールランプスイッチ、及び、ドア６の開閉に連動してオンオフする開閉スイッチに連動して、点灯及び消灯し得るように構成されている。すなわち、光源は、開閉スイッチによって、ドア６を開放すると点灯し、ドア６を閉塞すると消灯する。また、光源は、スモールランプスイッチによって、スモールランプをオンすると点灯する。
かかる構成に加え、本実施形態に係る照明構造１は、ドアライニング10に形成された収納部９の底面に透光性部材18が設けられている。本実施形態において、収納部９は、底面17が下底17aと上底17bとからなる二重構造となっており、収納部９の外形としての下底17aに対し、水平の上底17bを形成し得るように構成されている。
透光性部材18は、ドア６を開口部３に対し閉塞した場合、当該開口部３の底面に設けられた照明装置４の鉛直上方となる位置に配置されている。この透光性部材18は、種々のものが考えられるが、例えば、アクリル性の透明の板状部材を用いることができる。
透光性部材18は、下底17aに設けられた第１透光性部材18aと、上底17bに設けられた第２透光性部材18bとからなる。第２透光性部材18bは、第１透光性部材18aに比べ、機械的強度の大きい部材を選択することが好ましい。また、第２透光性部材18bは、透過した光を拡散するレンズ構造を備えるのが好ましい。
以上の構成において、ドア６が開口部３に対し閉塞されると、ステップガーニッシュ５上に収納部９が配置されることにより、照明構造１は、照明装置４、第１透光性部材18a、及び第２透光性部材18bが下から順に並んだ状態で保持される。また、照明装置４の上面と、収納部９の下底17aとの間には隙間G2が形成されている。
上記のように構成された照明構造１において、車両２のスモールランプをオンすると、同時に照明装置４が点灯する。すなわち、光源が発光して、導光板へ向かって光が出射される。導光板は、両面、すなわち上方及び下方に向かって当該光を放射する。導光板の一面4aから放射された光は、照明装置４の鉛直上方に配置された第１透光性部材18aの一面から他面へと透過して第２透光性部材18bの一面へ入射する。
第２透光性部材18bの一面へ入射した光は、第２透光性部材18bを透過することにより、拡散され、当該第２透光性部材18bの他面から拡散光として出射される。当該拡散光は、収納部９の底面から上方へ向かって出射されることにより、収納部９の内部を照明することができる。
このように、照明構造１は、ステップガーニッシュ５に設けた照明装置４の光を収納部９へ導き得るように構成したことにより、乗員が乗り降りする際に開口部３を照射する照明装置４を収納部９の照明として兼用することができるので、収納部９内を照射する手段を別に設定していた従来に比べ、部品点数を省略することができる。従って、照明構造１は、より簡易な構成で開口部３の周辺、及び収納部９内の両方を照射することができる。
本実施形態において、照明構造１は、ドア６が開口部３に対し閉塞した状態で、照明装置４、隙間G2、第１透光性部材18a、及び第２透光性部材18bが下から順に並んだ状態で保持される構成としたことにより、照明装置４から出射された光を少ない電力で、かつ効率よく収納部９内へ導くことができるので、より確実に収納部９内を照明することができる。
ここで、第２透光性部材18bは、入射した光を拡散光として出射することにより、収納部９内のより広い範囲を照明することができる。
また、照明構造１は、照明装置４の上面と、収納部９の底面との間に隙間G2が形成されていることにより、当該隙間G2からも車室内へ光を供給することができる。
さらに、ステップガーニッシュ５の内縁部5aには、フレーム15との間に隙間G1が形成されていることにより、当該隙間G1からも車室内へ光を供給することができる。
また、第２透光性部材18bは、第１透光性部材18aよりも機械的強度の大きい材料で構成したことにより、収納部９に収容した物品などを安定的に保持することができる。
本発明は上記した構成に限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨の範囲内で適宜変更することができる。例えば、上記実施形態では、収納部９は、底面が二重構造である場合について説明したが、本発明はこれに限らず、単一構造、すなわち下底17aのみで構成することとしてもよい。
また、上記実施形態では、光源はＬＥＤである場合について説明したが、本発明はこれに限らず、薄膜型のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子や、半導体レーザなどで構成してもよい。

Claims (4)

  1. 乗員が乗り降り可能な開口部と、前記開口部を開閉自在とし、内面に収納部を有する扉体とを備えた車両の前記開口部近傍を照射する照明構造であって、
    前記開口部の下部に設けられる照明装置と、
    前記収納部の底面に設けられる透光性部材と
    を備えることを特徴とする照明構造。
  2. 前記透光性部材は、前記扉体を閉じたときに前記照明装置の上方に配置される前記収納部の底面に設けられることを特徴とする請求項１記載の照明構造。
  3. 前記収納部の底面は、外底と内底とからなる二重構造で形成され、
    延期透光性部材は、前記外底に設けられる第１透光性部材と、前記内底に設けられる第２透光性部材とからなり、
    前記内底に設ける前記透光性部材は、前記外底に設ける前記透光性部材より機械的強度が高い
    ことを特徴とする請求項２記載の照明構造。
  4. 前記透光性部材は、入射した光を前記収納部内に拡散可能に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項２記載の照明構造。
