Description
本発明は、電気化学センサ製造の改良された工程に関し、詳細には、酵素印刷工程中にスクリーン印刷ステーションが所定の温度及び湿度のレベルに維持される改良されたウエブ製造工程に関する。
電気化学センサは、人の血中グルコースの測定を含む様々な診断方法に用いられている。このような電気化学センサの製造では、血液または他の体液を受容するように適合されたサンプル受容セル内に配置される電極を備えた多数の小さなストリップを製造する。体液により、セルの電極間の回路が完成する。電極は通常、血中の分析物と反応して中間分析物を形成する少なくとも1種類の試薬でコーティングされている。この中間分析物は、電極における電流または電荷を測定するように適合された測定器によって測定することができる。このような電気化学セルの製造には、極めて小さな空間に電極材料、絶縁材料、及び試薬の複数の層を体積させる必要がある。このような層の精度及び配置は、この装置の最終的な機能に極めて重要である。更に、コストを抑えて要求を満たすためには、超高速で層間が絶対精度で整合するように電気化学センサを製造することが必須である。
本発明に従ったウエブ製造工程では、この工程が、移動する基板上に酵素を印刷するように適合された少なくとも1つの印刷ステーションを含む。一実施形態では、ウエブ製造工程は、基板を連続的に工程に送るステップと、スクリーン印刷工程により基板上に酵素インキを堆積させるステップを含む。この堆積ステップでは、インキがスクリーンの上面に堆積され、そのインキが上面から、スクリーンの底面に近接して配置された基板上に移送される。インキの移送を改善するために、スクリーンの上面における空気を第1の相対湿度まで加湿し、スクリーンの底面における空気を第2の相対湿度まで加湿する。第1の相対湿度と第2の相対湿度は同一とすることができ、例えば約85%〜95%の範囲とすることができる。本発明の別の実施形態では、第1及び第2の相対湿度は約87%〜88%の範囲とすることができる。本発明の別の実施形態では、第1及び第2の相対湿度は約87.69%とすることができる。本発明の方法は更に、本発明に従ったウエブ製造工程の酵素印刷に用いるスクリーンの上面及び下面における温度と湿度の両方を制御して改善することができる。具体的には、スクリーン近傍の空気の温度を、例えば約18℃〜22℃の範囲に維持することができる。更に、空気の温度を約20.59℃に維持することができる。更に、本発明に従ったウエブ印刷工程では、酵素インキを堆積する工程を、インキを堆積する前に、例えば約18℃の所定温度まで基板を冷却して改善することができる。

Claims (15)
- 移動する基板上に酵素を印刷するように適合された少なくとも1つの印刷ステーションを含むウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法であって、前記ウエブ製造工程が、
前記基板を連続的に前記工程に送るステップと、
スクリーン印刷工程で前記基板上に酵素インキを堆積させるステップであって、前記インキがスクリーンの上面に堆積され、前記インキが前記上面から、前記スクリーンの底面に近接して配置された前記基板上に移送される、ステップと、
前記スクリーンの前記上面における空気を第1の相対湿度まで加湿しかつ前記スクリーンの前記底面における空気を第2の相対湿度まで加湿し、前記酵素インキの乾燥を防止するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1の相対湿度が85%〜95%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第1の相対湿度が87%〜88%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第1の相対湿度が87.69%であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第2の相対湿度が85%〜95%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第2の相対湿度が87%〜88%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第2の相対湿度が87.69%であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 移動する基板上に酵素を印刷するように適合された少なくとも1つの印刷ステーションを含むウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法であって、前記ウエブ製造工程が、
前記基板を連続的に前記工程に送るステップと、
スクリーン印刷工程で前記基板上に酵素インキを堆積させるステップであって、前記インキがスクリーンの上面に堆積され、前記インキが前記上面から、前記スクリーンの底面に近接して配置された前記基板上に移送される、ステップと、
前記スクリーンの領域における空気を第1の所定温度まで加熱しかつ前記空気を第1の相対湿度に加湿し、前記酵素インキの乾燥を防止するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1の相対湿度が85%〜95%の範囲であり、前記第1の所定温度が18℃〜22℃の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第1の相対湿度が87%〜88%の範囲であり、前記第1の所定温度が18℃〜22℃の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記第1の相対湿度が87.69%であり、前記第1の所定温度が20.59℃であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記基板が、前記堆積ステップの前に第2の所定温度まで冷却されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記基板が、前記堆積ステップの前に18℃まで冷却されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記基板が、前記堆積ステップの前に第2の所定温度まで冷却されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
- 前記基板が、前記堆積ステップの前に18℃まで冷却されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のウエブ製造工程で電気化学センサを製造する方法。
