Description
本発明の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法は、下記の組成式により表されるリチウムマンガン複合酸化物の粉末が少なくとも含まれて板状若しくはシート状に成形された正極合材からなる正極と、炭素材料の粉末が少なくとも含まれて板状若しくはシート状に成形された負極合材と、この負極合材の表面に接合され、前記正極合材に存在する未活用容量に相当する量のリチウムを添加する金属リチウム箔とからなる負極と、非水電解質とを備えた非水電解質二次電池の運転方法であって、4V放電域のサイトと3V放電域のサイトを利用して充放電することを特徴とする。

ただし、MはTi、V、Cr、Fe、Co、Ni、Al、Ag、Mg、Liのうちの少なくとも1種以上の元素であり、組成比を示すxは、0≦x≦1.0である。

Claims (6)
- 下記の組成式により表されるリチウムマンガン複合酸化物の粉末が少なくとも含まれて板状若しくはシート状に成形された正極合材からなる正極と、
炭素材料の粉末が少なくとも含まれて板状若しくはシート状に成形された負極合材と、この負極合材の表面に接合され、前記正極合材に存在する未活用容量に相当する量のリチウムを添加する金属リチウム箔とからなる負極と、
非水電解質とを備えた非水電解質二次電池の運転方法であって、
4V放電域のサイトと3V放電域のサイトを利用して充放電することを特徴とする、非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。

ただし、MはTi、V、Cr、Fe、Co、Ni、Al、Ag、Mg、Liのうちの少なくとも1種以上の元素であり、組成比を示すxは、0≦x≦1.0である。 - 前記正極は、表面に導電性高分子を被覆したリチウムマンガン複合酸化物を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。
- 複数の金属リチウム箔が、前記負極合材の表面に相互に離間されて均一に分散配置・接合された負極を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。
- 前記負極において、相互に離間されて接合された複数の金属リチウム箔の間隔が、31mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。
- 前記金属リチウム箔の重量をLimとし、前記のリチウムマンガン複合酸化物3V放電域のサイトを満たすリチウムの重量をLi3Vとし、非水電解質二次電池の初回充電時に前記炭素材料表面にて生じる非水電解質の還元反応で消費されるリチウムの重量をLi1cとしたとき、前記金属リチウム箔の重量が、Lim≧Li3V+Li1cの関係を満たすことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれかに記載の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。
- 前記金属リチウム箔の重量が、前記炭素材料の重量に対して3重量%以上10重量%以下の範囲とされたことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれかに記載の非水電解質二次電池の運転方法。
