Description
このようなカバー65は、従来より金型を用いて金属材料で作製されていたが、軽量化及び低コスト化を図るために、合成樹脂でカバー65を作製することが行われている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
前記カバーの、内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部に嵌め込まれる部分に金属製リングの少なくとも一部が埋設されており、且つ、
前記カバーが、内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部の内周面に嵌め込まれており、前記リングの一部が、前記カバーの開口端から突出するとともに、先端が折り曲げられてフック部を形成しており、且つ、前記内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部の内周面に、前記フック部が係止し得る凹部が形成されていることを特徴としている。
図1は、本発明の一実施の形態に係る軸受装置を示しており、この軸受装置は、車両における従動輪側の車輪用軸受装置である。前記軸受装置は、車体取付フランジ1を介して車体側に固定されるとともに、その内周面に複列の外輪軌道面2を有する外輪部材3と、この外輪部材3の内径側において当該外輪部材3と同心に配置されるとともに、その外周面に複列の内輪軌道面4を有する内輪部材5と、前記外輪部材3及び内輪部材5の各軌道面2、4間に転動自在に介装された複列の転動体であるボール6とを備えている。前記内輪部材5は、ハブ輪7と、このハブ輪7の車両インナ側(図1において左側)端部外径に嵌合された別体の内輪構成部材8とで構成されている。ハブ輪7は、複列のボール6を介して、前記外輪部材3に回転自在に支持されている。
前記外輪部材3の車両インナ側端部の内周面には有底短円筒状のカバー15が嵌め込まれており、このカバー15には、車輪の回転速度を検出するためのセンサ(図示せず)を取り付けるためのセンサ取付部16が形成されている。そして、内輪構成部材8の車両インナ側端部の外周面に設けられ、当該内輪構成部材8とともに回転するパルサーリング20の磁性体を前記センサが検知することで車輪の回転速度が検出されるようになっている。

Claims (1)
- 内輪部材と、この内輪部材の外周に転動体を介して配設された外輪部材と、前記内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部に嵌め込まれた合成樹脂製カバーとを備えた車輪用軸受装置であって、
前記カバーの、内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部に嵌め込まれる部分に金属製リングの少なくとも一部が埋設されており、且つ、
前記カバーが、内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部の内周面に嵌め込まれており、前記リングの一部が、前記カバーの開口端から突出するとともに、先端が折り曲げられてフック部を形成しており、且つ、前記内輪部材又は外輪部材の軸方向一端部の内周面に、前記フック部が係止し得る凹部が形成されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。
