Claims (3)
- 一対の固定プーリと可動プーリをそれぞれ備える駆動プーリと従動プーリと、
これら駆動プーリと従動プーリとの間に掛け渡され、前記固定プーリと前記可動プーリ間に挟持されるエレメントと、このエレメントを所定個数環状に積層するリングとからなるVベルトとを備えるVベルト式無段変速機において、
前記駆動プーリから前記従動プーリへトルクが伝達される際に、前記Vベルトの前記駆動プーリに挟持される領域のうち、前記エレメントが間隙なく配列される第1領域と、前記エレメントが間隙を持って配列される第2領域との境界を前記エレメント間の間隙の有無から検出する境界検出手段と、
検出した前記境界の位置に基づいて、前記駆動プーリが前記Vベルトを挟持するプーリ推力を推定する推力推定手段とを備え、
前記境界検出手段は、前記エレメント間の間隙の有無を検出する間隙センサーを備え、
前記間隙センサーは、前記駆動プーリの周方向に所定間隔で少なくとも2個配列され、
前記間隙センサーの検出結果に基づいて前記第1領域と前記第2領域との境界を検出することを特徴とするVベルト式無段変速機。 - 前記第1領域と前記第2領域の境界は、前記プーリ推力の大きさに応じて変化し、前記間隙センサーは、前記プーリ推力の前記Vベルトに滑りが生じない下限値に対応する前記境界を検出するように配置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のVベルト式無段変速機。
- 前記プーリ推力が大きいほど、前記第1領域が小さく、前記第2領域が大きくなり、前記プーリ推力が小さいほど、前記第1領域が大きく、前記第2領域が小さくなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のVベルト式無段変速機。
