Description
本発明の目的は、光ファイバ被覆材としての機能に優れ、かつ隣接被覆層を破損させることなく隣接被覆層との剥離性に優れた光ファイバアップジャケット用放射線硬化型液状樹脂組成物を提供することにある。
(A)ポリオール、ポリイソシアネートおよび水酸基含有(メタ)アクリレートを反応させて得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート、
(B)単官能性放射線硬化性モノマー、
(C)多官能性放射線硬化性モノマー、
(D)平均粒子径が0.1〜100μmの無機粒子またはポリマー粒子 5〜60質量%、
(E)平均分子量1000以上のポリオールまたはシリコーン化合物 1〜20質量%
を含有する光ファイバアップジャケット用放射線硬化型液状樹脂組成物を提供するものである。
で表される(メタ)アクリレート等が挙げられる。また、アルキルグリシジルエーテル、アリルグリシジルエーテル、グリシジル(メタ)アクリレート等のグリシジル基含有化合物と、(メタ)アクリル酸との付加反応により得られる化合物を使用することもできる。これら水酸基含有(メタ)アクリレートのうち、特に、2−ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、2−ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート等が好ましい。
(B)成分である単官能性放射線硬化性モノマーは、粘度の点から組成物全量に対して、通常1〜70質量%配合されるが、より好ましくは1〜50質量%、特に好ましくは1〜30質量%配合される。
で表わされる化合物等が挙げられる。
また、線膨張係数が小さくなることにより、アップジャケット層の巻き締め力の温度依存性が小さくなり、温度変化に伴うアップジャケット層と下層との密着力の変化が小さくなる。このことにより剥離性の温度依存性が小さくなる。さらに、(D)成分自体の各種環境条件下(85℃/85%、80℃dry、120℃dry、80℃温水等)での形状変化が小さいため、これらの条件下でのアップジャケット層の体積変化が小さくなる。このことにより、各種作業条件下での剥離性の安定性に優れる。
また、分岐構造を有するポリオールの市販品としては、例えば、第一工業製薬(株)製、旭硝子ウレタン(株)製三洋化成工業(株)製の「サニックスTP−400」、「サニックスGL−3000」、「サニックスGP−250」、「サニックスGP−400」、「サニックスGP−600」、「サニックスGP−1000」、「サニックスGP−3000」、「サニックスGP−3700M」、「サニックスGP−4000」、「サニックスGEP−2800」、「ニューポールTL4500N」等が挙げられる。
撹拌機を備えた反応容器に、テトラエチレンノニルフェニルエーテルアクリレート15.381g、2,6−ジ−t−ブチル−p−クレゾール0.015g、トルエンジイソシアナート7.80g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.023gを仕込み、これらを撹拌しながら液温度が20℃〜15℃になるまで氷冷した。ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート6.00gを加え、液温が35℃以下になるように制御しながら2時間撹拌して反応させた。次に、上記の混合物に数平均分子量2000のポリテトラメチレングリコール(PTMG2000、三菱化学製)28.341g、数平均分子量400のポリエチレングリコールビスフェノールAエーテル(ユニオールDA400、日本油脂製)1.790g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.022gを加え、1時間室温で撹拌後、油浴にて65℃で2時間拡販した。残留イソシアネートが0.1重量%以下になった時を反応終了とした。以上により、ポリエチレングリコールビスフェノールAエーテルの両末端水酸基にトルエンジイソシアネートを介してヒドロキシエチルアクリレートが結合したウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(A−1とする。)、ポリテトラエメチレングリコールの両末端水酸基にトルエンジイソシアネートを介してヒドロキシエチルアクリレートが結合したウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(A−2とする)、及びトルエンジイソシアネートの2つのイソシアネート基にヒドロキシエチルアクリレートが結合したウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(A−3とする)の3種類の(A)ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマーの混合溶液を得た。
撹拌機を備えた反応容器に、イソボルニルアクリレート87.93g、2,6−ジ−t−ブチル−p−クレゾール0.124g、トルエンジイソシアナート131.77g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.212gを仕込み、これらを撹拌しながら液温度が20℃〜15℃になるまで氷冷した。ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート114.02gをゆっくりと滴下し、液温が35℃以下になるように制御しながら2時間撹拌して反応させた。次に、上記の混合物に数平均分子量2000のポリテトラエメチレングリコール199.37g、数平均分子量400のポリエチレンビスフェノールAエーテル69.78g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.200gを加え、1時間室温で撹拌後、油浴にて65℃で2時間拡販した。残留イソシアネートが0.1重量%以下になった時を反応終了とした。以上により、合成例1と同様の3種類のウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(A−1、A−2及びA−3)の混合溶液を得た。
撹拌機を備えた反応容器に、2,6−ジ−t−ブチル−p−クレゾール0.184g、トルエンジイソシアネート31.20g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.615gを仕込み、これらを撹拌しながら液温度が15℃以下になるまで氷冷した。ここへ、2-ヒドロキシルエチルアクリレート20.80gをゆっくりと温度が25℃以上にならないように注意しながら滴下し、20℃で2時間撹拌した。その後、数平均分子量10000のプロピレンオキサイドの開環重合体716.57gを加え、液温を50℃にしながら2時間撹拌して反応させ、残留イソシアネートが0.1重量以下となったときを反応終了とした。ここへ、50℃で1時間撹拌し、目的の(メタ)アクリロイル基を1個有するウレタンアクリレートを得た。得られた(E1)成分を、「E1−2」とする。
撹拌機を備えた反応容器に、2,6−ジ−t−ブチル−p−クレゾール0.024g、FM0411(ジメチルポリシロキサンポリオキシアルキレン共重合体(分子量1170)、チッソ株式会社)79.911g、トルエンジイソシアネート11.986g、ジブチル錫ジラウレート0.08gを仕込み、これらを撹拌しながら液温度が15℃以下になるまで氷冷した。ここへ、2−ヒドロキシルエチルメタクリレート7.991gをゆっくりと温度が25℃以上にならないように注意しながら滴下し、20℃で2時間撹拌した。液温を50℃にしながら2時間撹拌して反応させ、残留イソシアネートが0.1重量以下となったときを反応終了とし目的の(メタ)アクリロイル基を1個有するウレタンアクリレートを得た。得られた(E2)成分を、「E2−2」とする。
表1に示す組成の各成分および粒子を撹拌機を備えた反応容器に仕込み、液温度を60℃に制御しながら2時間撹拌し、放射線硬化型液状樹脂組成物を得た。
前記実施例および比較例で得た樹脂組成物を以下のような方法で硬化させ、試験片を作製し、下記の各評価を行った。
1.試験片の作製
試験用フィルムの作成:250ミクロン厚のアプリケーターバーを用いてガラス板上に液状硬化性樹脂組成物を塗布し、これを空気下で1J/cm2のエネルギーの紫外線で照射して硬化して試験用フィルムを得た。
まず、デソライトの液状を泡が入らないように洗浄乾燥した比重瓶に満たし、蓋をして25℃の恒温水槽で30分間放置した。比重瓶の蓋を上から押さえ、周りに溢れたデソライトをふき取り、質量を測り、比重瓶の重さをもとに密度と比重を算出した。
また上記で作成したフィルムをおよそ20mm×20mmの大きさに切り、質量を測りとった。ビーカーに25℃の蒸留水をおよそ180mLをいれ、針金を吊り下げ蒸留水中に浸したときの質量を測りとった。さらに、針金に試験片を取り付けて蒸留水中に完全に浸したときの質量を測りとり、上記の液状での密度と比重の値とフィルムの密度と比重から硬化収縮率を算出した。
上記で得られた硬化フィルムを3mm×30mmの短冊状に切り、引っ張りモード用のプローブにチャック間距離20mm、サンプル幅3mmで取り付けた。荷重を1gに設定し、熱膨張係数測定装置(TMA:セイコー電子製)により測定を行った。
前記実施例および比較例で得た樹脂組成物を用いてアップジャケット層を形成し、その剥離性を評価した。
(1)アップジャケット層の調製
リワインダーモデルにより作成したアップジャケット化した素線(ガラスファイバー(合成石英棒;TSL株式会社)からに、プライマリ材:一次被覆材(R1164;JSR株式会社製)、セカンダリ材:二次被覆材(R3180;JSR株式会社製)、インキ材:(FS青インキ;T&K TOKA)の順でタンデムでをリワインダーモデル(吉田工業株式会社製)を用いて塗布及び紫外線硬化した作製した太さが外径250μmの光ファイバ素線に対して、表1に示した各硬化性組成物をアップジャケット材を用いて同装置を用いてさらに塗布及び紫外線硬化することによりしてアップジャケット層を被覆し、全体の太さを外径500μmにする。)の光ファイバアップジャケット心線を作製してこれを測定試料とした。
ガラスファイバーに、一次被覆材(R1164;JSR株式会社製)、二次被覆材(R3180;JSR株式会社製)、インキ材(FS青インキ;株式会社ティーアンドケイ東華)をリワインダーモデル(吉田工業株式会社製)を用いて塗布及び紫外線硬化した作製した外径250μmの光ファイバ素線に対して、表1に示した各硬化性組成物を同装置を用いてさらに塗布及び紫外線硬化してアップジャケット層を被覆し、外径500μmのアップジャケット心線を作製してこれを測定試料とした。
図1に示すように、アップジャケット素線の末端から3cmの個所をホットストリッパー(古河電気工業株式会社製)で保持し、引っ張り試験機(島津製作所株式会社製)を用いて速度50m/minで引っ張り、アップジャケット層を引き抜く際の被覆除去応力(図2に示す最大応力)を測定した。測定温度は、23℃及び−20℃である。測定は、アップジャケット心線の製造直後(「製造直後の被覆除去応力」という。)及び85℃・相対湿度85%環境下に7日間放置した後(「高温高湿試験後の被覆除去応力」という。)にそれぞれ測定した。

- 次の(A)成分〜(E)成分:
(A)ポリオール、ポリイソシアネートおよび水酸基含有(メタ)アクリレートを反応させて得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート 組成物全量に対して30〜90質量%、
(B)単官能性放射線硬化性モノマー 組成物全量に対して1〜70質量%、
(C)多官能性放射線硬化性モノマー 組成物全量に対して1〜60質量%、
(D)平均粒子径が0.1〜100μmの無機粒子またはポリマー粒子 組成物全量に対して5〜60質量%、
(E)平均分子量1,000〜30,000のポリオールまたはシリコーン化合物 成分(A)、(B)及び(C)の合計量100質量%に対して1〜20質量%
を含有する光ファイバアップジャケット用放射線硬化型液状樹脂組成物であって、(A)成分が、

- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一に記載の光ファイバアップジャケット用放射線硬化型液状樹脂組成物の硬化物からなる光ファイバアップジャケット層。
- 請求項4に記載の光ファイバアップジャケット層を有する光ファイバアップジャケット心線。
