Description
他の技術としては、窓を通る放射による熱伝達を減少させるために選択的に反射性の又は低放射率の被膜を設けることである。さらに、窓ガラスの結合とフレームの設計及び材質の両方において窓フレームの飛躍的な技術改良が行なわれている。断熱ユニット内のグレージングの層は、スペーサにより適当な距離のところに離隔状態に保持されなければならない。窓製造業者は、構造的性質が優れているので、アルミニウム製のスペーサを用いている。残念なことに、アルミニウムは、熱の優れた伝導体であり、大抵の標準型エッジシステムで用いられているアルミニウム製スペーサは、断熱ガラスユニットのエッジのところに著しい熱的「短絡」を生じさせ、それによりグレージングを改良した利点が損なわれる。熱損失の増大に加えて、低温のエッジは凝縮を生じやすい。
したがって、当該技術分野においては、先行技術の問題点を軽減するスペーサとシールのシステムを有するエネルギ効率のよい窓ユニットが要望されている。本発明は、エッジスペーサ及び密封システムを備えたエネルギ効率のよい窓を提供することを目的としている。
本発明は、エネルギ効率のよい断熱設計の窓を提供する。本発明を説明する際、本明細書において定義されていない用語は全て、当該技術分野において一般に認識されている意味を持っている。
図1に示すように、2重窓ガラス(14,16)が、スペーサ組立体によって間隔保持され、このスペーサ組立体は、中央スペーサ(18)と、第1の側方部材(20)と、第2の側方部材(22)とから成っている。第1の側方部材(20)は、窓ガラス(14)に当接する第1の外面(21)を有している。これと同様に、第2の側方部材(22)は、他方の窓ガラス(16)に当接する第2の外面(23)を有している。第1及び第2の側方部材は、当該技術分野において周知にように、接着剤(24)、例えばアクリル樹脂系接着剤又は他の或る適当な接着剤で窓ガラスに取り付けられている。側方部材(20,22)は好ましくは、アルミニウムから押出成形されたものであるのがよく、アルミニウムは、軽量であって剛性が高く、しかも強度が高いので好ましい。
Claims (2)
- 断熱窓であって、
(a)間に空気空間を構成する1対のアウターパネルと、
(b)該アウターパネル間に配置された間隔部材とを有し、該間隔部材は、前記アウターパネルを互いに間隔を隔てた関係に維持し、前記間隔部材は、中央スペーサと、対向する2つの側方部材とを有し、前記中央スペーサが前記対向する2つの側方部材に係合すると共にこれらの側方部材を分離しており、少なくとも1つの側方部材は、内部フィルムを保持するための手段を有し、第1の側方部材は、第1の外面を有し、第2の側方部材は、第2の外面を有し、前記第1の外面と前記第2の外面は、対向し、平行であり、前記中央スペーサは、第1の外面と第2の外面との間に延びる第3の外面を備え、
(c)前記第1の側方部材は、前記第1の外面と前記第3の外面との接合部に第1の密封溝を構成し、前記第2の側方部材は、前記第2の外面と前記第3の外面との接合部に第2の密封溝を、構成し、
(d)前記第1密封溝及び第2の密封溝内のそれぞれに収容された気密シール要素と、
(e)前記第3の外面に平行で、前記第3の外面の上に位置する金属バンドとを有し、該金属バンドは、前記第1の密封溝及び第2の密封溝に嵌合する縁フランジを有し、これにより前記第3の外面を前記シール要素から隔離する、
ことを特徴とする断熱窓。 - 前記シール要素はブチル系接着剤から成り、金属バンドはステンレス鋼箔から成る、請求項1記載の断熱窓。
