Claims (15)
- 色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセルを有し、各サブピクセルは、発光ユニットと、発光ユニットの発光を駆動する駆動ユニットとを含むパネルの設計手法であって、前記発光ユニットは、第一及び第二光コンポーネントをそれぞれ放射する第一及び第二光コンポーネント源を含み、前記第一光コンポーネントの色は、前記第二光コンポーネントの色と異なり、前記駆動ユニットは、第一光コンポーネントの輝度を検出して前記発光ユニットを補償するトランジスタを含み、前記設計手法は、
前記第一及び第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量を決定するステップ、及び
前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセルの輝度が適切に補償されるように、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて、それぞれ、前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセル内の前記トランジスタのチャネルサイズを決定するステップを含む設計手法。 - 前記発光ユニットの発光輝度の補償過程は、
前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度を検出すること、及び
前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度が変化したときに、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて前記第一光コンポーネントまたは第二光コンポーネントの輝度を補償することを含む請求項1に記載の設計手法。 - 前記第一及び第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量の決定は、
前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネント源を連続的に発光するステップ、
第一時間に前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度を検出するステップ、及び
第二時間に前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度を検出するステップを含む請求項1に記載の設計手法。 - 前記第二時間に検出された前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度は、前記第一時間に検出された前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度より暗い請求項3に記載の設計手法。
- 前記補償過程は、検出された前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度と、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率とに基づいて、前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネントの発光時間の一つを変える請求項2に記載の設計手法。
- 前記第一及び前記第二光コンポーネント源はエレクトロルミネセント素子(ELD)を形成する請求項2に記載の設計手法。
- 前記補償過程は、検出された前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度と、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて、前記ELDを通過する電流を変える請求項6に記載の設計手法。
- 更に、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて、それぞれ、前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセル内のコンデンサの静電容量を決めるステップを含む請求項1に記載の設計手法。
- 色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセルを有し、各サブピクセルは、発光ユニットと、発光ユニットの発光を補償することが可能な駆動ユニットとを含むパネルであって、
前記発光ユニットは、第一及び第二光コンポーネントをそれぞれ放射する第一及び第二光コンポーネント源を含み、前記第一光コンポーネントの色は、前記第二光コンポーネントの色と異なり、前記第一及び第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量に基づいて、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率を得ることができ、
前記駆動ユニットは、前記発光ユニットを駆動するのに用いられ、且つ参照用光コンポーネントの輝度を検出して前記発光ユニットの発光を補償するトランジスタを含み、前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセルの輝度が適切に補償されるように、前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセル内の前記トランジスタのチャネルサイズは、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいてそれぞれ設計されており、且つ前記第一及び第二光コンポーネントの一つは、前記参照用光コンポーネントに指定されるパネル。 - 前記トランジスタは、前記参照用光コンポーネントの輝度変化量を検出する請求項9に記載のパネル。
- 前記トランジスタは、検出された前記参照用光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と、一定期間における前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて、必要な光コンポーネントの発光を調整する請求項10に記載のパネル。
- 前記色がそれぞれに異なるサブピクセル内のコンデンサの静電容量は、それぞれ、前記第一光コンポーネントの輝度変化量と前記第二光コンポーネントの輝度変化量との比率に基づいて決められる請求項9に記載のパネル。
- 電力を出力するアダプタ、及び
前記アダプタによって電力を供給される請求項9に記載のパネルを含む電子素子。 - 前記駆動ユニットを有効にする複数のスキャン信号を提供するスキャンドライバ、及び
前記駆動ユニットに複数のスキャン信号を提供するデータドライバを更に含む請求項13に記載の電子素子。 - 前記電子素子は、PDA、ディスプレイモニタ、ノート型パソコン、タブレット型パソコン、または携帯電話の少なくとも一つである請求項14に記載の電子素子。
