Description
または、複数個の情報層からなる情報層群を有し各情報層において情報の記録または再生を光学的に行う光ディスクであって、前記情報層群のうち前記光ディスクの表面から最も遠い位置に配置された最深情報層の管理領域に、当該最深情報層と各前記情報層との距離によって表される前記光ディスクの厚み方向における各前記情報層の位置を示す位置情報が記録され、前記位置情報は、少なくとも、前記最深情報層に最も近い情報層の位置を前記最深情報層から最も遠い情報層の位置より短いビット長で表すことを特徴とする。
図1は、実施の形態1に係る光ディスク100と光ディスク100に情報の記録または再生を行うための光ディスク装置200とを示す模式図である。
実施の形態1においては、ホスト300は、記録コマンドまたは再生コマンドを、アクセスが不可能な情報層についても発行する。そのため、処理効率が低下してしまう場合がある。
実施の形態1においては、情報層101〜108の位置を、光透過層111〜117の厚さ121〜127をそれぞれ用いて記憶している。しかし、上述したように、厚さ121〜127を用いる場合には、深さ情報を得るために加算等の演算処理が必要となる。また、この演算処理においては、小数点以下の誤差が積算されるので、誤差が大きくなる場合がある。
Claims (2)
- 複数個の情報層からなる情報層群を有し各前記情報層において情報の記録または再生を光学的に行う光ディスクであって、
前記情報層群のうち前記光ディスクの表面から最も遠い位置に配置された最深情報層の管理領域に、隣接する各前記情報層間の距離を表す情報である位置情報が記録され、
前記位置情報は、
少なくとも、前記最深情報層に最も近い情報層の位置を前記最深情報層から最も遠い情報層の位置より長いビット長で表す、
ことを特徴とする光ディスク。 - 複数個の情報層からなる情報層群を有し各前記情報層において情報の記録または再生を光学的に行う光ディスクであって、
前記情報層群のうち前記光ディスクの表面から最も遠い位置に配置された最深情報層の管理領域に、当該最深情報層と各前記情報層との距離によって表される前記光ディスクの厚み方向における各前記情報層の位置を示す位置情報が記録され、
前記位置情報は、少なくとも、前記最深情報層に最も近い情報層の位置を前記最深情報層から最も遠い情報層の位置より短いビット長で表す、
ことを特徴とする光ディスク。
