【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to maintenance of a float type oil / water separator that separates and automatically discharges water mixed in an oil using device such as an oil combustion device or an oil storage tank, and an oil transport pipe, etc., and in particular, float type oil / water separation. The present invention relates to a life estimation device for a float type oil-water separator that estimates the life by measuring the number of opening and closing operations of the vessel.
[0002]
The float type oil / water separator has a casing that forms an inlet, a valve chamber, and an outlet, a drain valve port that communicates the valve chamber and the outlet is provided in the lower portion of the valve chamber, and a float having a specific gravity between oil and water in the valve chamber. It uses a difference in specific gravity of oil and water to open and close the drain valve port by floating up and down of the float that floats on the surface of the water, and automatically drains water out of the system. An example of this is shown in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 5-9041.
[0003]
If this float type oil-water separator does not operate normally, it will seriously hinder oil transportation and production activities. That is, if the valve opening function is reduced or insufficient and the water discharge capacity is small, rust is generated in the oil using device, and the life of the device is shortened or the combustion efficiency is lowered. Further, if the valve closing function is lowered and oil is leaked, expensive energy is wasted. Leakage of flammable oils and oils containing toxic components is dangerous and must be reliably prevented.
[0004]
[Prior art]
Therefore, conventionally, the maintenance of the float type oil-water separator has been regularly and strictly performed. In other words, the oil-operated equipment and various plants are stopped during every predetermined period such as once a year or once every six months, and the float type oil-water separator is disassembled and inspected and repaired.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In this case, since maintenance must be performed including a float type oil-water separator that is used less frequently and therefore has a low probability of failure, there is a problem that maintenance costs are wasted, that is, unnecessary maintenance costs are incurred. there were.
[0006]
Therefore, the technical problem of the present invention is to provide a life estimation device for a float type oil / water separator that can estimate the life by measuring the number of opening / closing operations of the float type oil / water separator.
[0007]
[Technical means for solving the problems]
The means of the present invention devised to solve the above problems is that a casing forms an inlet, a valve chamber, and an outlet, a drain valve port that communicates the valve chamber and the outlet is provided in the lower portion of the valve chamber, and oil and water are provided in the valve chamber. Float type oil and water that automatically drains water out of the system by arranging a float with an intermediate specific gravity and opening and closing the drain valve port by floating up and down of the float floating on the water surface using the difference in specific gravity of oil and water In the separator, the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver attached to the outer surface of the bottom of the valve chamber of the float type oil / water separator, and the ultrasonic wave radiated upward from the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver is reflected by the water surface until it returns. A float type oil / water separator comprising: a water level detecting means for detecting the water level of the valve chamber from time; and a frequency measuring means for measuring the number of times of opening and closing operations from the water level of the valve chamber detected by the water level detecting means. Life estimation device. It is in.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The float type oil-water separator floats and falls according to the amount of water flowing into the valve chamber, opens and closes the drain valve opening, and discharges water to the outside of the system. The wear of the drain valve port progresses and the life is shortened. Therefore, the water level of the valve chamber is detected from the time until the ultrasonic wave radiated upward from the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver is reflected by the water surface and returned, and the number of opening / closing operations is measured from the water level of the valve chamber. Thereby, the lifetime of a float type oil-water separator can be estimated.

[0012]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the water level of the valve chamber is detected using the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver attached to the outer surface of the bottom of the valve chamber of the float-type oil / water separator, and the number of opening / closing operations is determined from the water level of the valve chamber. By measuring this, an excellent effect that the life of the float type oil-water separator can be estimated is produced.
