Description
ヘッドレストに静電容量センサが設けられ、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動時において静電容量センサにより検出される静電容量の時間に対する変化勾配に基づいて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動量を制御することを特徴とする。
ヘッドレストの前方移動速度を検出する手段を備え、
前記ヘッドレストの前方移動時における静電容量の時間に対する変化勾配と、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度とに基づいて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動量を制御することを特徴とする。
ヘッドレストの前方移動速度を検出する手段を備え、
前記静電容量の変化勾配又は前記所定閾値を、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度に応じて補正することを特徴とする。
前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度に代えて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動の駆動源に対する印加電圧又は印加電流が用いられることを特徴とする。
静電容量センサで検出される静電容量の大きさが所定閾値を上回った場合に、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動を停止させる第2の移動停止手段を有することを特徴とする。
前記ヘッドレストの前方移動の駆動源に対する印加電圧又は印加電流が一定値になるように制御する電圧制御手段を備えることを特徴とする。
ここで、容量カウント変化勾配B(=dN/dt)は、頭部−電極距離Lの変化速度(dL/dt)を用いて、B(=dN/dt)=dN/dL×dL/dtと表せることから、dN/dL及びdL/dtに依存することが分かる。頭部−電極距離Lの変化速度dL/dtは、ヘッドレスト5の前方移動速度に線形的に依存し、それ故に、容量カウント変化勾配Bは、DCモータ54の作動電圧Vmに線形的に依存する。このことから、容量カウント変化勾配BをDCモータ54の作動電圧Vmで割ることで、容量カウント変化勾配Bの作動電圧に対する依存性(dL/dt)を無くして、容量カウント変化勾配Bの頭部−電極距離Lに対する依存性(dN/dL)のみを残すことができると予測できる。以下、容量カウント変化勾配BをDCモータ54の作動電圧Vmで除して得られる値B/Vmを、標準化変化勾配B/Vmという。

Claims (6)
- 車両に対して車両後方から物体が衝突する衝突前段階に、車両に対して車両前方に移動可能なヘッドレストを、車両前方に移動させることで乗員保護を図る乗員保護装置において、
ヘッドレストに静電容量センサが設けられ、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動時において静電容量センサにより検出される静電容量の時間に対する変化勾配に基づいて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動量を制御することを特徴とする、乗員保護装置。 - ヘッドレストの前方移動速度を検出する手段を備え、
前記ヘッドレストの前方移動時における静電容量の時間に対する変化勾配と、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度とに基づいて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動量を制御することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の乗員保護装置。 - 前記静電容量の時間に対する変化勾配が所定閾値を上回った場合に前記ヘッドレストの前方移動を停止させる移動停止手段を有する請求項1に記載の乗員保護装置において、
ヘッドレストの前方移動速度を検出する手段を備え、
前記静電容量の変化勾配又は前記所定閾値を、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度に応じて補正することを特徴とする、乗員保護装置。 - 前記ヘッドレストの前方移動速度に代えて、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動の駆動源に対する印加電圧又は印加電流が用いられることを特徴とする、請求項2又は3に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 静電容量センサで検出される静電容量の大きさが所定閾値を上回った場合に、前記ヘッドレストの前方移動を停止させる第2の移動停止手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記ヘッドレストの前方移動の駆動源に対する印加電圧又は印加電流が一定値になるように制御する電圧制御手段を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の乗員保護装置。
