Description
Claims (7)
- 情報処理装置であって、
ディスプレイ装置と、
前記ディスプレイ装置がピボット可能に取り付けられた筐体と、
前記筐体内に配設されたCPUと、
前記ディスプレイ装置と前記筐体との間の開き角度を検出する角度センサと、
前記情報処理装置の振動を検知する加速度センサと、
前記開き角度に基づいて前記情報処理装置が膝上で使用されていると判断し、かつ該判断した時より前の所定期間における前記加速度センサの出力が非ゼロの値であると判断した時にCPUクロック・レートを低下させるパワーマネージメント・ドライバと
を有する情報処理装置。 - 前記パワーマネージメント・ドライバは、さらに、前記開き角度に基づいて前記情報処理装置が膝上で使用されていると判断した時より後の所定期間における前記加速度センサの出力が非ゼロの値であると判断したときにCPUクロック・レートを低下させる請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。
- ディスプレイ装置と、前記ディスプレイ装置がピボット可能に取り付けられた筐体と、前記筐体内に配設されるCPUとを備える情報処理装置に対して膝上での使用を判断してパワーマネージメントを行うパワーマネージメント方法であって、
加速度センサからの出力を少なくとも前記開き角度の判断時を含む前後の所定期間にわたりメモリに記憶させるステップと、
角度センサにより前記ディスプレイ装置と前記筐体との間の開き角度を検出するステップと、
角度比較モジュールにより、前記角度センサからの値と所定の角度範囲とを比較するステップと、
前記所定期間のうち前記判断時以前の期間における前記加速度センサの出力を前記メモリから読取るステップと、
前記角度比較モジュールにより前記開き角度が所定の角度範囲と判断され、かつ、読出された前記加速度センサの出力値が非ゼロの値の場合に前記情報処理装置が膝上で使用されていると判断し、ルックアップ・テーブルから前記開き角度で指定されるパワーマネージメント設定値を読取るステップと、
前記パワーマネージメント設定値で指定される条件で少なくともCPUクロック・レートを低下させる動作モードに前記情報処理装置の動作モードを変更するステップと
を含むパワーマネージメント方法。 - 前記読取るステップが、さらに、前記所定期間のうち前記判断時以後の期間における前記加速度センサの出力を前記メモリから読み取るステップを含む請求項3に記載のパワーマネージメント方法。
- 前記開き角度が前記所定の角度範囲にある場合に、前記角度センサに割り当てられたルックアップ・テーブルの値から少なくともCPUのクロック・レートを低下させる前記パワーマネージメント設定値を取得するステップを含む、請求項3または請求項4に記載のパワーマネージメント方法。
- ディスプレイ装置と、前記ディスプレイ装置がピボット可能に取り付けられた筐体と、前記筐体内に配設されるCPUとを備える情報処理装置に対して膝上での使用を判断してパワーマネージメント方法を実行する、装置実行可能なプログラムであって、前記プログラムは、前記装置に対して、
加速度センサからの出力を少なくとも前記開き角度の判断時を含む前後の所定期間にわたりメモリに記憶させるステップと、
角度センサにより前記ディスプレイ装置と前記筐体との間の開き角度を検出するステップと、
角度比較モジュールにより、前記角度センサからの値と所定の角度範囲とを比較するステップと、
前記所定期間のうち前記判断時以前の期間における前記加速度センサの出力を前記メモリから読取るステップと、
前記角度比較モジュールにより前記開き角度が所定の角度範囲と判断され、かつ、読出された前記加速度センサの出力値が非ゼロの値の場合に前記情報処理装置が膝上で使用されていると判断し、ルックアップ・テーブルから前記開き角度で指定されるパワーマネージメント設定値を読取るステップと、
前記パワーマネージメント設定値で指定される条件で少なくともCPUクロック・レートを低下させる動作モードに前記情報処理装置の動作モードを変更するステップと
を実行させるプログラム。 - 前記読取るステップが、さらに、前記所定期間のうち前記判断時以後の期間における前記加速度センサの出力を前記メモリから読み取るステップを含む請求項6に記載のプログラム。
