Claims (5)
- エンジンを所定の走行または運転条件下で自動停止させるエンジン自動停止装置において、
車速を検知する車速センサと、
スロットル開度を検知するスロットルセンサと、
車両の走行履歴を記憶する走行履歴記憶手段と、
前記車速、スロットル開度および走行履歴に応じた所定のエンジン停止条件が成立してから前記走行履歴に応じて可変される待機時間の経過後にエンジンを自動停止させるエンジン停止制御手段とを含むことを特徴とするエンジン自動停止装置。 - 前記エンジン停止制御手段は、停車頻度が高いほど前記待機時間を長くすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジン自動停止装置。
- 前記待機時間に関する初期値を記憶する手段をさらに具備し、
前記エンジン停止制御手段は、前記走行履歴に関する情報が少ない場合には、車速およびスロットル開度の検知結果が所定の条件を満足したときから前記初期値の経過後にエンジンを停止させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジン自動停止装置。 - 前記走行履歴が所定時間内の停車回数であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載のエンジン自動停止装置。
- 前記エンジンを駆動源とする車両に搭載される請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のエンジン自動停止装置であって、
前記車両が、エンジンの動力を駆動輪へ伝達する動力伝達手段と、
前記エンジンと動力伝達手段との間に配置され、前記エンジンが所定回転数に達したところで前記エンジンの動力を前記動力伝達手段へ伝達する発進クラッチとを具備していることを特徴とするエンジンの自動停止装置。
