本発明はバンパーとトーイングフックカバーの塗装組み付け方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来から、大物部品に小物部品を組付ける際に、別々に塗装を施したものを用いると、微妙に塗装色差があるため、商品価値が低下してしまう。そこで、特開平6−206024号公報にあっては、フューエルリッドを保持治具に取付け、この保持治具の一部を車体のドアウインドウ溝に差し込んで固定し、この状態でフューエルリッドとドアとを同時に塗装するようにしている。
また、特開2000−220626公報にあっては、バンパーやエアロサイドガード等の樹脂部品を保持治具を介して車体に取付け、この状態で車体と樹脂部品とを同時に塗装するようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述した先行技術にあっては、専用の保持治具を作成しなければならず、また塗装の都度、小物樹脂部品を保持治具に取付けなければならず、作業が面倒であり、塗装後に保持治具を回収しなければならない。また、車体の一部に保持治具を差し込んだりすると、車体が傷つくおそれがある。
また、何回か使用すると塗料が保持治具に付着し、付着した塗料が塗装中に剥離して樹脂部品に付着して不良品となることがあり、これを回避するには頻繁に保持治具の清掃が必要になり手間がかかる。
更に、被塗装部品が樹脂で保持治具が金属製の場合、塗装工程に続く乾燥炉内で樹脂部品とこの樹脂部品を取付けている保持治具との温度上昇速度が異なるため、樹脂部品の保持治具との取付け部の周囲に歪みが生じ、塗装面に微細な皺ができ、光輝性に影響を与えることがある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため本発明に係るバンパーとトーイングフックカバーの塗装組み付け方法は、バンパーとこれに組みつけられるトーイングフックカバーの外観上問題とならない箇所に互いに係合するスリット支持棒を形成し、前記スリット支持棒を係合させてバンパートーイングフックカバーを一体化し、この状態で同時に塗装するようにした。
上記構成とすることで、専用の保持冶具を用いることなく、バンパートーイングフックカバーを同時に塗装できる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明の実施の態様を添付図面に基づいて説明する。図1は本発明に係る塗装方法で塗装される被塗装部品の正面図、図2は同被塗装部品の側面図、図3は同被塗装部品の平面図、図4は樹脂小物部品取付部の拡大図であり、被塗装部品として実施例では大物樹脂部品としてのバンパー1と小物樹脂部品としてのトーイングフックカバー2を一体化したものを示している。

バンパー1には上端部にフランジ部11が形成されている。このフランジ部11は車体に組付けた状態では外観上目立たない箇所である。そしてフランジ部11には成形時に受け部としてのスリット12が形成されている。

トーイングフックカバー2はバンパー1の開口部13に取り付けられる部品であり、このトーイングフックカバー2の外観上目立たない箇所である裏面側には成形時に係合部としての支持棒21が形成されている。支持棒21は塗装中にスリット12から外れることがないように、先端22を矢印状にするとともに、係止位置を調整できるように支持棒21の中間に段部23を設けている。
尚、受け部及び係合部の形状は上記のものに限らず、互いに一体化できるものであればよい。

塗装手順は、バンパー1のスリット12にトーイングフックカバー2の支持棒21を差し込んで一体化し、この状態で塗装し、塗装後はそのまま乾燥炉に送り込んで乾燥する。そして、乾燥後にバンパー1からトーイングフックカバー2を取り外し、トーイングフックカバー2をバンパー1の開口部13に取り付ける時に、バンパー1の開口部13に形成された係合孔15に支持棒21を挿通して、抜け止めとして流用する。勿論、トーイングフックカバー2から支持棒21を切断してもよい。

バンパー1などの大物樹脂部品に外観上問題とならない箇所がない場合には、図5に示すように、バンパー1の一部にタグ14を設け、このタグ14にスリット12を形成すればよい。

また、図6に示すように、バンパー1などの大物樹脂部品に支持棒21を設け、トーイングフックカバー2などの小物部品にスリット12を形成してもよい。更にトーイングフックカバー2にタグを設け、このタグにスリットを形成してもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上に説明したように、本発明によればバンパーとこれに組みつけられるトーイングフックカバーの外観上問題とならない箇所に、互いに係合するスリットと支持棒を形成し、前記スリット支持棒を係合させてバンパートーイングフックカバーを一体化し、この状態で同時に塗装するようにしたので、塗装色差を生じることがなくなる。
しかも専用の保持冶具を用いないため、保持治具への取付け作業が不要になり、保持冶具で車体などを傷つけることがなく、更に保持冶具と樹脂部品であるバンパーとトーイングフックカバーの温度差に起因する皺の発生などの不具合も解消できる。
