【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、使い捨ておむつ、特
に、幼児用、成人用あるいは失禁者用として用いられる
使い捨ておむつに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来の使い捨ておむつは、例えば、特公
昭５２−４０２６７号公報に開示されているように、液
透過性のトップシートと液不透過性のバックシートと、
これらの両シート間に位置する吸収体とからおむつ本体
を構成し、該おむつ本体の左右に延出するサイドフラッ
プに伸縮弾性部材を配設してギャザーを形成し、かつ該
サイドフラップにおける背側の両側端縁に止着具を配設
して調節可能とすることにより、フィット性、防漏性の
向上を意図したいわゆるフラット型のおむつが一般的で
ある。さらに、特開昭６２−２５０２０１号公報に開示
されているように、レッグ部のギャザーを立体化した
り、吸収体周囲のフラップ部を撥水性にして防漏効果を
高めたものが知られている。
【０００３】しかし、最近では、フィット性及び装着性
の向上を目的として、特開昭５７−７７３０４号公報に
開示されているように、左右一対のサイドフラップにお
ける腹側領域と背側領域を互いに接合固定して左右一対
のレッグ開口部及びウエスト開口部をそれぞれ形成し
た、いわゆるパンツ型の使い捨ておむつが提案されてい
る。該パンツ型の使い捨ておむつは、レッグ開口部及び
ウエスト開口部がそれぞれ伸縮自在に形成されて体型に
フィットするように構成されている。このようなパンツ
型の使い捨ておむつは、通常、着用者自らが、立位の状
態で着用することができ、幼児の「おむつ離れ」を促進
するためのトイレットトレーニング用として、または失
禁者もしくは歩行不可能な成人用として有用とされてい
る。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上述の
従来のパンツ型の使い捨ておむつは、股下部を狭く形成
しなければならないので、伸縮弾性部材が吸収体から離
間して配置することができず、その結果、吸収体の剛性
の影響を受け、本来の伸縮物性を発揮することが困難で
あった。同時に両側縁部の接合部分は伸縮弾性部材によ
り、しわや隙間が生じ易く、それらが排泄物の漏れる原
因となっていた。また、漏れ防止策として効果的なレッ
グギャザーの立体化も、股下部が狭いこと、製造面にお
いて困難があるという問題があった。
【０００５】排泄物、特に尿のにじみ漏れ防止策として
効果的な周囲撥水化技術も、パンツ型おむつにおいて
は、これも股下部が狭いことにより、親水部分と撥水部
分を明確に区別して形成することができないため、十分
な効果が発揮させることができなかった。また、従来の
使い捨ておむつは、排泄物を吸収し、保持するのは、排
尿ポイント付近だけであり、かかる部分のみが汚れ、他
の部分、例えば、ウエストの側部は実質的に汚れること
がないので、おむつ全体を捨てるのでは、無駄を生じる
とともに、不経済である。
【０００６】従って、本発明の目的は、排泄物の漏れを
有効に防止でき、むれがなく且つ股下部における着用者
への追従性に優れたパンツ型の使い捨ておむつを提供す
ることにある。また、本発明の他の目的は、排泄物によ
る汚れ部分のみの取り替えが可能なパンツ型の使い捨て
おむつを提供することにある。
【０００７】本発明は、液透過性のトップシートと、こ
れに相対する液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性のバックシート
と、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体とを有する吸
収性本体、及び該吸収性本体が接合される最外層シート
を備え、該最外層シートの腹側部及び背側部それぞれの
両側縁部を接合固定してウエスト開口部と一対のレッグ
開口部とを形成したパンツ型の使い捨ておむつであっ
て、上記最外層シートは、その横断面における中央部が
単層の繊維状シートからなり、上記レッグ開口部を形成
する両側縁部を、複数の繊維状シートと該繊維状シート
により挟持接合される、液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性フィ
ルム及び伸縮弾性部材とにより構成し、該伸縮弾性部材
により上記レッグ開口部に第１レッグギャザーを形成す
ることを特徴とする使い捨ておむつを提供することによ
り、上記目的を達成したものである。

【作用】本発明の使い捨ておむつによれば、最外層シー
トに接合された吸収性本体を着用者の股下部に当て、通
常の下着と同様にして着用すると、着用中においては、
パンツ型の最外層シートのレッグ開口部は第１レッグギ
ャザーにより着用者の脚部にフィットするので、かかる
部分からの漏れを確実に防止する。また、最外層シート
の中央部が単層の繊維状シートのみからなる構成である
から、該中央部の透湿性に優れ、着用中のむれを防止で
きる。しかも、第１レッグギャザー部分は複数の繊維状
シートにより挟持接合される、液不透過性且つ蒸気透過
性フィルム及び伸縮弾性部材とにより構成されているか
ら、該第１レッグギャザーからの尿の滲み漏れも確実に
防止される。更に、最外層シートの中央部は単層に形成
されているから、該部分は着用者の股下部への追従性に
優れる。
【０００９】また、本発明の使い捨ておむつにおいて、
上記吸収性本体の両側縁部に伸縮弾性部材を設け、該伸
縮弾性部材により第２レッグギャザーを形成すれば、第
２レッグギャザーにより排泄物の漏れを一層確実に防止
できる。また、本発明の使い捨ておむつにおいて、吸収
性本体を最外層シートに剥離自在に接合すれば、使用済
の吸収性本体を未使用の他の吸収性本体と取り替えるこ
とによって、最外層シートを再使用することが可能であ
る。

【実施例】以下に、添付の図面を参照し乍ら、本発明の
実施例を詳細に説明する。
【００１１】本発明の実施例による使い捨ておむつ１
は、いわゆるパンツ型の使い捨ておむつであり、図１及
び図２に示すように、液透過性のトップシート１５と、
これに相対する液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性のバックシー
ト１６と、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体１７と
を有する吸収性本体３、及び該吸収性本体３が接合され
着用時に着用者のウエストを囲んで該吸収性本体を着用
者にあてて保持する最外層シート２を備え、該最外層シ
ート２の腹側部及び背側部それぞれの両側縁部２２ａ、
２２ｂを接合固定してウエスト開口部１１と一対のレッ
グ開口部７、７とを形成したパンツ型の使い捨ておむつ
であって、上記最外層シート２は、その横断面における
中央部２０が単層の繊維状シート２１からなり、上記レ
ッグ開口部７を形成する両側縁部２２ｃを、複数の繊維
状シート２３ａ、２３ｂと、該繊維状シート２３ａ、２
３ｂにより挟持接合される伸縮弾性部材（以下、第１伸
縮弾性部材という）２４とにより構成し、該第１伸縮弾
性部材２４により上記レッグ開口部７に第１レッグギャ
ザー２４ａを形成している。尚、本実施例における上記
繊維状シート２１と上記繊維状シート２３ａとは一枚の
シートにより形成されている。
【００１２】また、上記吸収性本体３の両側縁部に伸縮
弾性部材（以下、第２伸縮弾性部材という）２６を設
け、該第２伸縮弾性部材２６により第２レッグギャザー
２６ａが形成されている。最外層シート２は、吸収性本
体３よりも実質的に大きな寸法に形成され、その長手方
向略中央に吸収性本体３が接着剤Ａにより剥離自在に固
着されている。吸収性本体３が接着されている上記最外
層シート２の両側部には凹欠部６、６が形成されてお
り、該最外層シート２の腹側部及び背側部それぞれの両
側縁部２２ａ、２２ｂを接合固定したときに、該凹欠部
6、6 の部分でレッグ開口部７、７を形成し、パンツ型の
おむつを構成するようになっている。最外層シート２に
おいて、凹欠部６の形成されているくびれ部分の上方
（背側部）と下方（腹側部）には、夫々、幅方向外方に
左右一対のサイドフラップ８、８と９、９とが延出され
ている。そして、サイドフラップ８、８と９、９の夫々
の端縁は、夫々互いに融着してパンツ型を形成するよう
になっている。
【００１３】また、最外層シート２の長手方向における
両端縁部には、吸収性本体３の外方へ延出する一対のウ
エストフラップ１０ａ、１０ｂが設けられ、パンツ型の
おむつを形成した際に、ウエスト開口部１１が形成され
るようになっている。ウエストフラップ１０ａ、１０ｂ
には夫々第３伸縮弾性部材１２が張設され、ウエストフ
ラップのギャザー１２ａを形成し、またサイドフラップ
の凹欠部６には上述した第１伸縮弾性部材２４が張設さ
れ、第１レッグギャザー２４ａを形成し、着用時に着用
者へのフィット性を高め、ずれ落ち防止が図られてい
る。また、着用時にウエスト開口部１１とレッグ開口部
７、７との間に第５伸縮弾性部材１４が張設されて、着
用者の胴回りのフィット性を高めるようになっている。
【００１４】最外層シート２の横断面における中央部２
０は、図３に示すように、単一層の繊維シート２１によ
り形成されており、吸収性本体３における吸収体１７の
湿度を逃がすようになっており、着用中のむれを防止し
ている。また、単一層とすることにより、上記中央部の
追従性が高くなり、股下部における着用者への追従性に
優れる。最外層シート２における上記レッグ開口部７を
形成する両側縁部２２ｃ、２２ｃは、複数の繊維状シー
ト２３ａ、２３ｂと該繊維状シート２３ａ、２３ｂによ
り挟持接合される第１伸縮弾性部材２４とにより構成さ
れており、上記両側縁部２２ｃ、２２ｃを少なくとも２
層構造にすることによって、該両側縁部２２ｃ、２２ｃ
における液漏れを確実に防止している。
【００１５】本実施例では、前記中央部２０における繊
維シート２１と両側縁部２２ｃの下側の繊維シート２３
ａとが共通のシートとして用いられている。即ち、図３
に示すように、一枚の繊維シート２３ａ（２１）の両側
縁部２２ｃに他の繊維シート２３ｂが重ねられている。
繊維シート２３ａと繊維シート２３ｂとの間には、更に
液不透過性及び透湿性のフィルム２７が配置されてお
り、本実施例では、最外層シート２の両側縁部２２ｃは
結果的に三層構造となっている。この三層構造におい
て、第１伸縮弾性部材２４は、フィルム２７と繊維シー
ト２３ｂとの間に挟持接合されている。即ち、上記伸縮
弾性部材２４を液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性フィルム２７
に貼着し、該フィルム２７を複数の繊維状シート２３
ａ、２３ｂにより挟持接合してある。本発明のおむつ
は、このような、フィルム２７を含む三層構造とするこ
とによって、該部分からの液の滲み漏れを一層確実に防
止することができる。
【００１６】繊維状シート２３ａ、２３ｂとしては、例
えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル等
を原料とする繊維やこれらの複合繊維を用いたスパンボ
ンド方式やヒートボンド方式、水流交絡方式によりシー
ト化された疎水性の一層あるいは複数層の不織布等が用
いられ、風合いや強度や尿の吸収性を考慮すると５〜３
５ｇ／m2のものが用いられる。更に、尿のにじみ漏れ防
止のためには、撥水剤で表面処理したものがより好まし
い。液不透過性及び透湿フィルム２７としては、例え
ば、ポリオレフィン等の熱可塑性樹脂に炭酸カルシウム
等の無機フィラーを加えて延伸したフィルムが用いられ
る。
【００１７】吸収性本体３は、最外層シート２に接着さ
れた際に、凹欠部６に張設された第２伸縮弾性部材２４
の内側に位置するように配置され、第１レッグギャザー
２４ａと第２レッグギャザー２６ａとが順次重ならずに
形成されるようになっている。吸収性本体３は、着用者
の肌に接する側を形成する液透過性のトップシート１５
と、該トップシート１５の対応する液不透過性のバック
シート１６と、トップシート１５とバックシート１６と
の間に介在された吸収体１７とから構成されている。ま
た、吸収性本体３は、該吸収体１７の両側縁から幅方向
外方へ延出する左右一対の本体フラップ１８、１８を有
しており、この本体フラップ１８、１８は、巾方向外方
に延出された上記トップシート１５及び上記バックシー
ト１６により形成されている。該本体フラップ１８、１
８の両側縁それぞれには、第２レッグギャザー２６ａ、
２６ａを形成するように前記第２伸縮弾性部材２６、２
６が吸収性本体３の長手方向に沿って張設されている。
【００１８】前記本体フラップ１８、１８は自由端とな
っており、前記吸収性本体３は、そのバックシート１６
の略中央部のみが前記最外層シート２の中央部２０に接
着剤Ａにより剥離自在に接着されている。そのため、第
２伸縮性部材２６、２６により、第２レッグギャザー２
６ａ、２６ａが容易に形成される。
【００１９】次に、本実施例の主な構成部分の材質につ
いて説明する。トップシート１５は、排泄物を吸収体１
７へ透過させる液透過性シートで肌着に近い感触を有し
たものが好ましく、このような液透過性シートとして
は、例えば、織布、不織布、多孔性フィルム等が好まし
い。また、トップシート１５の周縁部にシリコン系油
剤、パラフィンワックス等の疎水性化合物を塗布する方
法や、予めアルキルリン酸エステルのような親水性化合
物を塗布し、周縁を温水で洗浄する方法により撥水処理
を施し、周縁部における尿等の滲みによる漏れを防止す
ることができる。
【００２０】バックシート１６は、熱可塑性樹脂にフイ
ラーを加えて延伸した透湿性のある液不透過性シートや
肌着に近い感触を有したもの、例えば、フィルムと不織
布との複合材あるいはフィルムと織布の複合材等が用い
られる。吸収体１７は、解繊パルプを主材とし、高分子
吸水ポリマーを併用したものが好ましく、そのほか、熱
可塑性樹脂、セルロース繊維、高分子吸水ポリマーの混
合物を熱処理したものなどが好ましい。高分子吸水ポリ
マーの存在位置は上層、中層、下層のいずれであっても
よく、パルプと混合したものであってもよい。該高分子
吸水ポリマーは、自重の２０倍以上の液体を吸収して保
持し得る保持性能を有し、ゲル化する性質を有する粒子
状のものが好ましく、このような高分子吸水ポリマーと
しては、例えば、デンプン−アクリル酸（塩）グラフト
共重合体、デンプン−アクリロニトリル酸（塩）重合体
などが好ましい。吸収体１７の形状としては、着用者の
体型に合わせた砂時計の形状が好ましいが、矩形であっ
てもよい。
【００２１】第１、第２、第３、第４伸縮弾性部材２
４、２６、１２、１４は、一般に伸長した状態で吸収性
本体３及び最外層シート２に超音波溶着、熱溶着、接着
剤などの業界公知の手段を用いて接合される。材質とし
ては、糸ゴム、平ゴム、フィルムタイプのゴムあるいは
テープ状の発泡ポリウレタンなど、業界で公知のもので
あれば何でも使用することができ、１本あるいは複数本
であってもよい。かかる伸縮弾性部材は、１５０％伸長
時の応力が７０〜１００ｇであるものが特に好ましい。
【００２２】接着材Ａは、剥離自在な公知の接着材等が
用いられており、吸収性本体３の内側、好ましくは吸収
体１７の内側にて、点状または線状に接着される。接着
剤Ａの材料としては、ホットメルト接着剤、スチレン・
ブタジエン共重合体、アクリル酸エステル共重合体、酢
酸ビニル、エチレン・オレフィン共重合体、石油系樹
脂、コールドグルー等が使用される。
【００２３】次に、本実施例の作用について説明する。
本実施例のパンツ型のおむつは、図２に示す展開状態の
最外層シート２のサイドフラップ８、９の両側縁部を互
いに接合して、図１に示すような、ウエスト開口部１１
と一対のレッグ開口部７、７を形成したパンツ型のおむ
つに形成されたものである。このおむつにおいて、上記
最外層シート２には、その内側に吸収性本体３が接着剤
Ａにより剥離自在に接着されている。尚、上記サイドフ
ラップ８、９の両側縁部は、該最外層シート２の腹側部
及び背側部それぞれの両側縁部２２ａ、２２ｂである。
本実施例のパンツ型のおむつを着用するには、ウエスト
開口部１１に両足を通して、パンツ型のおむつを引き上
げて、各レッグ開口部７、７に脚を通す。上記のように
して着用された本実施例のおむつは、着用中において
は、最外層シート３のウエスト開口部１１にウエストフ
ラップのギャザー１２ａ及びレッグ開口部７、７に第１
レッグギャザー２４ａが形成されており、着用者へのフ
ィット性、追従性及び漏れ防止性が図られている。更
に、第４の伸縮弾性部材１４により胴回りにおける着用
者へのフィット性が向上されている。また、本実施例の
おむつは、着用中において、図３に示すように、吸収性
本体３はその中央部においてのみ最外層シート３に接着
されているから、第２伸縮弾性部材２６によって、本体
フラップ１８が容易に立設して袋状を形成するので、該
袋状部に排泄物を確実に保持することができる。
【００２４】更に、本実施例のおむつは、吸収性本体３
において、第２レッグギャザー２６ａが形成されてお
り、吸収性本体３から最外層シート２への排泄物等の漏
れが防止される。また、上記最外層シート２のレッグ開
口部７、７の第１レッグギャザー２４ａと共に第２のギ
ャザー２６ａが形成されているので、即ち二重のギャザ
ーが形成されているので脚部からの漏れが一層確実に防
止される。しかも、最外層シート２の横断方向の中央部
２０は単層の繊維シートにより形成されて該単層シート
２１が吸収性本体３を支持しているので透湿性を損なわ
ず、着用中におけるむれが防止されるとともに、股下部
における着用者へのフィット性が高められる。一方、第
１レッグギャザー２４ａを形成する、最外層シート２の
両側縁部２２ｃは、複数の繊維シート２３ａ、２３ｂ、
及び支持フィルム２７で形成されているので、該両側縁
部２２ｃからの排尿の滲み漏れが一層確実に防止され
る。そして、排泄物の排泄後には、吸収性本体３を最外
層シート２から剥離して、新たな吸収性本体３を最外層
シート２に接着剤Ａにより接着交換する。このように、
本発明の実施例によれば、排泄物により汚れた吸収性本
体のみの交換を容易におこなうことができる。
【００２５】本発明は上述した実施例に限定されず、本
発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形可能である。例
えば、第１伸縮弾性部材２４は、図４に示すように、最
外層シート２の凹欠部６の中央部において交差するよう
に配置されてもよい。また、吸収性本体の形状を、略四
角形状の簡単な構成とするものであってもよい。本発明
の使い捨ておむつによれば、排泄物の漏れを有効に防止
でき、むれがなく且つ股下部における着用者への追従性
に優れる。また、本発明の使い捨ておむつによれば、排
泄物による汚れ部分のみの取り替えが可能である。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 液透過性のトップシートと、これに相対
    する液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性のバックシートと、これ
    ら両シート間に配置された吸収体とを有する吸収性本
    体、及び該吸収性本体が接合される最外層シートを備
    え、該最外層シートの腹側部及び背側部それぞれの両側
    縁部を接合固定してウエスト開口部と一対のレッグ開口
    部とを形成した使い捨ておむつであって、 上記最外層シートは、その横断面における中央部が単層
    の繊維状シートからなり、上記レッグ開口部を形成する
    両側縁部を、複数の繊維状シートと、該繊維状シートに
    より挟持接合される、液不透過性且つ蒸気透過性フィル
    ム及び伸縮弾性部材とにより構成し、該伸縮弾性部材に
    より上記レッグ開口部に第１レッグギャザーを形成する
    ことを特徴とする使い捨ておむつ。
  2. 【請求項２】 上記吸収性本体の両側縁部に伸縮弾性部
    材を設け、該伸縮弾性部材により第２レッグギャザーを
    形成したことを特徴とする請求項１記載の使い捨ておむ
    つ。
  3. 【請求項３】 上記吸収性本体は、上記最外層シートに
    剥離自在に接合されていることを特徴とする請求項１項
    に記載の使い捨ておむつ。
