Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a shorts-type napkin.

Patent Document 1 discloses a pants-type disposable diaper consisting of an absorbent body having a back sheet and absorbent body with a pattern, and an exterior body. In Patent Document 1, the absorbent body and the exterior body are bonded in the areas on the ventral side and back side where the pattern is provided, so that the pattern can be clearly seen on the outside while maintaining a soft texture, and the basis weight of the adhesive is reduced in the widthwise center of the absorbent body in the crotch area.

Disposable diapers such as those exemplified in Patent Document 1 require a space on the back side to accommodate feces and a space to store urine until it is absorbed by the absorbent. In contrast, shorts-type napkins are primarily intended to absorb menstrual blood, which has a higher viscosity than urine and therefore tends to run down the body (buttocks groove) and spread on the top sheet, and is excreted in small amounts. For this reason, shorts-type napkins are required to have an absorbent core (absorbent body) that fits closely to the buttocks groove of the wearer and prevents menstrual blood from leaking backwards.
However, in the disposable diaper of Patent Document 1, as described above, the absorbent body is bonded to the exterior body in the area where the pattern is provided so as to be in close contact with the exterior body. Therefore, if the pattern is provided on the back side area where the groove of the wearer's buttocks comes into contact, the adhesive increases the rigidity and makes it difficult to deform, making it difficult for the absorbent body to deform so as to be in close contact with the groove of the wearer's buttocks.
In addition, in the disposable diaper of Patent Document 1, the elastic member that is provided in the waist area and stretches in the width direction does not exhibit elastic stretchability in the area that overlaps with the absorbent body. Therefore, in the waist area where the wearer's buttocks groove abuts, the absorbent body tends to remain flat without being affected by the elastic member. Therefore, it is difficult for the absorbent body to deform so as to fit closely to the wearer's buttocks groove.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems with the conventional napkin, and its purpose is to provide a shorts-type napkin in which the absorbent core easily fits closely to the wearer's buttocks and prevents menstrual blood from leaking backwards.

The main invention for achieving the above object is a shorts-type napkin having an absorbent main body with an absorbent core, a ventral waist portion, and a rear waist portion, the ventral waist portion and the rear waist portion being joined in an annular shape by a pair of side joining parts, the shorts-type napkin having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction which are perpendicular to one another in an unfolded and stretched state, a pair of first imaginary lines passing through both ends in the lateral direction of a portion of the absorbent core which overlaps with the rear waist portion in the thickness direction and extending in the longitudinal direction, a pair of first imaginary lines passing through the longitudinal waist side ends of the portion of the absorbent core which overlaps with the rear waist portion in the thickness direction and extending in the lateral direction, and a third imaginary line extending in the left-right direction, dividing the area between the longitudinal center position of the shorts-type napkin and the crotch side end of the side joint portion on the back side into two in the longitudinal direction, and when the rectangular area is divided into five in the left-right direction, the basis weight of the adhesive joining the back waist portion and the absorbent main body is lower in the area adjacent to the end area located on the inner side in the left-right direction than in the end area located on the outermost side in the left-right direction, and the back waist portion has an elastic member that is continuous in the left-right direction at least in the rectangular area and stretches and contracts in the left-right direction.

The present invention provides a shorts-type napkin in which the absorbent core easily fits into the buttocks of the wearer, preventing menstrual blood from leaking backwards.

(Aspect 1)
A shorts-type napkin having an absorbent main body including an absorbent core, a ventral waist portion, and a rear waist portion, the ventral waist portion and the rear waist portion being joined in an annular shape by a pair of side joining portions, the shorts-type napkin having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction which are perpendicular to one another in an unfolded and stretched state, a pair of first imaginary lines extending in the longitudinal direction and passing through both ends in the lateral direction of a portion of the absorbent core which overlaps with the rear waist portion in the thickness direction, and a second imaginary line extending in the lateral direction and passing through an end on the longitudinal waist side of a portion of the absorbent core which overlaps with the rear waist portion in the thickness direction, A shorts-type napkin having a rectangular area defined by a third imaginary line extending in the left-right direction, which divides the area between the longitudinal center position of the shorts-type napkin and the crotch side end of the side joint on the back side into two in the longitudinal direction, and wherein, when the rectangular area is divided into five in the left-right direction, the basis weight of the adhesive joining the back waist portion and the absorbent main body is lower in the area adjacent to the end area located on the inner side in the left-right direction than in the end area located on the outermost left-right direction, and the back waist portion has an elastic member that is continuous in the left-right direction and stretches and contracts in the left-right direction at least in the rectangular area.

According to aspect 1, in the rectangular region that contacts the wearer's buttock groove, the inner adjacent region has lower rigidity than the end region that corresponds to both left and right sides of the absorbent core, making it easier to deform. Therefore, the adjacent region becomes the folding starting point, and the left and right central part of the absorbent core is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttock groove. In addition, even when the absorbent core tries to shrink in the left and right direction due to the elastic member in the rectangular region, it is difficult for disorderly wrinkles to be formed, and the adjacent region with low rigidity is easily deformed, promoting the convex deformation of the absorbent core, and making it easier for the absorbent core to maintain a state of being in close contact with the buttock groove even during wear. Therefore, leakage of menstrual blood, etc. down the back can be suppressed.

(Aspect 2)
A shorts-type napkin according to Aspect 1, wherein the back waist portion is configured as a separate member from the ventral waist portion.

According to aspect 2, unlike an integrated outer member that is continuous from the rear waist portion to the ventral waist portion, it is possible to prevent the movement of the wearer's crotch area (opening and closing of the legs, etc.) from being transmitted to the rear waist portion via the outer member. This makes it easier for the absorbent core to remain in close contact with the buttocks groove. According to aspect 5, in the third rectangular region that abuts the end of the buttock groove, the adjacent region on the inside of the third end region has a lower rigidity and is more likely to become a folding starting point. Therefore, the absorbent core is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the end of the buttock groove. In addition, the elastic member of the third rectangular region promotes the convex deformation of the absorbent core, and makes it easier for the absorbent core to maintain a state in which it is in close contact with the buttock groove while wearing the garment. In addition, the low rigidity of the region adjacent to the third end region makes it easier for the absorbent core to deform from a convex state to fit the flat part on the back side, reducing discomfort while wearing the garment.

According to aspect 7, by increasing the length of the adhesive region in the region adjacent to the end region, friction caused by the individual movements of the absorbent body and the back waist circumference can be suppressed, and product breakage can be prevented.

According to aspect 8, the entire adjacent regions of the rectangular region are non-adhesive, so that the back waist portion is prone to shrink, but the absorbent body is not linked to it and is less likely to shrink. This difference in shrinkage makes the adjacent regions more likely to fold, and the absorbent core is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely into the buttocks groove.

A shorts-type napkin as described in any one of aspects 1 to 8, characterized in that, in an unfolded and stretched state, when the rectangular area is divided into five in the left-right direction, at least one of the central area, which is obtained by dividing the rectangular area into five in the left-right direction, and which overlaps with the side joint in the longitudinal direction and which is closer to the crotch than the side joint, has a bonded area where the adhesive is applied and a non-bonded area where the adhesive is not applied, the bonded area overlaps with the center position of the central area in the left-right direction in the thickness direction, and the non-bonded area is located on both left-right outer sides of the bonded area.

According to aspect 9, the adhesive region in the central region becomes the folding starting point, and the absorbent core is easily folded in two in a convex shape, and is easily inserted into the buttock groove of the wearer. In addition, by locating non-adhesive regions with low rigidity on both the left and right sides of the adhesive region, the absorbent core is easily able to conform to the shape of the buttock groove and surrounding area, and gaps are less likely to occur between the napkin and the wearer.

According to aspect 12, in the fourth rectangular region that abuts the beginning of the buttock groove, the adjacent regions have low rigidity and are likely to become folding starting points. Therefore, the absorbent core is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the beginning of the buttock groove. A shorts-type napkin as described in any one of aspects 1 to 14, characterized in that the absorbent body has a longitudinal elastic member that stretches in the longitudinal direction on the non-skin side of the absorbent core, and the longitudinal elastic member is provided in at least a portion of the longitudinal direction of the rectangular region.

According to aspect 15, the absorbent core in the rectangular region that contacts the wearer's buttocks groove is pushed up toward the skin by the longitudinal elastic member. This makes it easier for the absorbent core to fit closely to the wearer's buttocks groove and to maintain that fit even while the garment is being worn.

(Aspect 16)
A shorts-type napkin as described in any one of aspects 1 to 15, characterized in that at least one of the following is satisfied: a cover sheet is provided across the waist-side end of the absorbent body on the back side and covers said end from the skin side; and in the adjacent area within the rectangular area, the adhesive is provided at the waist-side end.

According to aspect 16, the cover sheet can prevent the end of the absorbent body on the waist side from rolling up (peeling off from the back waist area). Alternatively, the adhesive provided in the area adjacent to the end area can prevent the end of the absorbent body on the waist side from rolling up. This can prevent the end of the absorbent body from rolling up, causing discomfort during wear.

In addition, the elastic member promotes the convex deformation of the absorbent core, and makes it easier for the absorbent core to maintain its close contact with the buttocks groove even while the absorbent core is being worn. On the other hand, the stiffness of the end region is increased, and the area of the absorbent core that deforms into a convex shape can be supported from below, making it easier for the absorbent core to maintain its close contact with the buttocks groove.

Fig. 1 is a front view of a shorts-type napkin 1 as viewed from the ventral side. Fig. 2 is a rear view of the shorts-type napkin 1 as viewed from the dorsal side. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the shorts-type napkin 1 in an unfolded and stretched state as viewed from the skin side. Fig. 4A is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the first center line CL1 in Fig. 3, and Fig. 4B is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along the second center line CL2 in Fig. 3. In the following description, the shorts-type napkin will also be simply referred to as a "napkin." The first center line CL1 is a line extending in the left-right direction at a center point that divides the product in half in the longitudinal direction, and the second center line CL2 is a line extending in the longitudinal direction at a center point that divides the product in half in the left-right direction.

The developed state of the shorts-type napkin 1 refers to a state in which the napkin 1 is opened and developed in a plane by separating a pair of side joining portions 2 provided on both sides of the napkin 1.
The stretched state of the shorts-type napkin 1 refers to a state in which the napkin 1 is stretched to such an extent that wrinkles in the napkin 1 are no longer visible. Specifically, it refers to a state in which the napkin 1 is stretched to such an extent that the dimensions of each component constituting the napkin 1 match or are close to the dimensions of the component alone.

The shorts-type napkin 1 has a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a front-to-back direction that are perpendicular to one another, and has a waist opening BH and a pair of leg openings LH. The upper side in the vertical direction corresponds to the waist opening BH side, and the lower side corresponds to the crotch side. The front side in the front-to-back direction corresponds to the wearer's abdomen side, and the rear side corresponds to the wearer's back side. Also, as shown in Figures 4A and 4B, the direction in which the materials that make up the napkin 1 are layered is referred to as the thickness direction. In the thickness direction, the side that comes into contact with the wearer's skin is referred to as the skin side, and the opposite side is referred to as the non-skin side.

The shorts-type napkin 1 has an absorbent body 10, a ventral waist section 20 that covers the ventral side of the wearer, and a rear waist section 30 that covers the rear side of the wearer. As shown in FIG. 3, the shorts-type napkin 1 has a longitudinal direction, a left-right direction, and a thickness direction that are perpendicular to each other in the unfolded state. The longitudinal direction in the unfolded state corresponds to the up-down direction in the shorts-type state. In the following description, the ventral waist section 20 and the rear waist section 30 are collectively referred to as the waist sections 20, 30.

In the unfolded napkin 1, the ventral waist section 20 and the rear waist section 30 are positioned in a line with a gap between them in the longitudinal direction, and the absorbent body 10 is hung between them in the longitudinal direction. Each end of the absorbent body 10 in the longitudinal direction is joined and fixed to the skin side of the nearest ventral waist section 20 or rear waist section 30. From this state, the absorbent body 10 is folded in half in the longitudinal direction, and the opposing ventral waist section 20 and rear waist section 30 are connected at both left and right sides by a pair of side joints 2 to form a shorts-type napkin 1. In other words, the ventral waist section 20 and rear waist section 30 are joined in a ring shape by a pair of side joints 2. Examples of joining methods using the side joints 2 include heat welding, ultrasonic welding, and adhesive joining methods.

The absorbent body 10 has an absorbent core 11 that absorbs and retains excreted liquids such as menstrual blood, a liquid-permeable surface sheet 12 (e.g., nonwoven fabric, perforated film, etc.) arranged closer to the skin than the absorbent core 11, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 13 (e.g., resin film, etc.) arranged closer to the skin than the absorbent core 11, and a side sheet 14 (e.g., hydrophobic nonwoven fabric, etc.). The outer periphery of the absorbent core 11 may also be covered with a liquid-permeable core wrap sheet 15 such as tissue paper or nonwoven fabric.

The absorbent core 11 may, for example, contain water-retentive fibers. There are no particular limitations on the water-retentive fibers, so long as they have the property of absorbing and retaining moisture. Examples include cellulosic fibers (e.g., pulp fibers, non-wood fibers such as cotton and hemp, and regenerated fibers such as rayon).

A pair of leak-proof walls 3 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body 10 on both left and right sides of the absorbent body 10. The leak-proof walls 3 are formed by side sheets 14. Specifically, the side sheets 14 are folded at multiple locations on the left and right sides of the skin side of the top sheet 12 while covering the non-skin side of the back sheet 13, and the leak-proof walls 3 are formed on both left and right sides of the skin side of the top sheet 12. A leak-proof wall elastic member 16 (e.g., rubber thread) is attached to the leak-proof wall 3 in a stretched state along the longitudinal direction. The leak-proof wall 3 stands up on the wearer's skin side based on the stretchability of the leak-proof wall elastic member 16.

The ventral waist section 20 and the dorsal waist section 30 each have a skin-side sheet 21, 31, a non-skin-side sheet 22, 32 laminated on the non-skin side of the skin-side sheet 21, 31, and multiple waist elastic members 23, 33 (e.g., rubber thread) that stretch in the left-right direction. The multiple waist elastic members 23, 33 are arranged in a line in the up-down direction between the skin-side sheet 21, 31 and the non-skin-side sheet 22, 32, and are attached in a stretched state in the left-right direction. The stretchability of the waist elastic members 23, 33 allows the ventral waist section 20 and the dorsal waist section 30 to fit the waist of the wearer.

In addition, cover sheets 24, 34 may be provided to cover the upper end of the absorbent body 10 from the skin side. The cover sheets 24, 34 can prevent the upper edge of the absorbent body 10 from digging into the wearer's skin and prevent the absorbent body 10 from opening.

As shown in FIG. 3, the ventral waist section 20 and the back waist section 30 have different planar shapes in the unfolded and stretched state. The ventral waist section 20 has a vertical length that is roughly the same as the side joint section 2, and is rectangular in shape that is long in the left-right direction. The back waist section 30 has a rectangular waist side section 30A that overlaps with the ventral waist section 20, and a generally trapezoidal crotch side section 30B that extends below it (below the side joint section 2).

In addition, an inclined elastic member 35 (e.g., rubber thread) is provided at the lower end of the back waistband 30 (the area extending from the lower end of the side joint 2 to the crotch side portion 30B). The inclined elastic member 35 is arranged so as to roughly follow the lower outer edge of the back waistband 30, and has a portion that inclines downward from both sides of the back waistband 30 in the left-right direction toward the center, and a portion that extends in the left-right direction at the center of the back waistband 30. The inclined elastic member 35 is also attached in a stretched state between the skin side sheet 31 and the non-skin side sheet 32, and the stretchability of the inclined elastic member 35 makes it easier for the crotch side portion 30B of the back waistband 30 to fit the wearer's buttocks and makes it less likely to roll up from the buttocks. In FIG. 2, three rubber threads are shown as an example of the inclined elastic member 35, but the number of rubber threads is not particularly limited.

The area where the inclined elastic member 35 is provided, that is, the area surrounded by the uppermost inclined elastic member 35a and the lowermost inclined elastic member 35b, is referred to as the inclined stretch area A35. The inclined elastic member 35 may also be a sheet-like elastic member (such as a stretchable nonwoven fabric or a stretchable film), in which case the area where the stretchable nonwoven fabric is arranged and exhibits stretchability is the inclined stretch area A35.

The basic structure of the napkin 1 has been described above, but the above-described structure of the napkin 1 is merely an example and is not intended to be limiting.
For example, a liquid-permeable intermediate sheet may be provided between the top sheet 12 and the core wrap sheet 15 .
In addition, the back waist portion 30 may not have the crotch side portion 30B or the inclined elastic member 35 and may have the same planar shape as the ventral waist portion 20, or the ventral waist portion 20 may have a portion extending toward the crotch side.
Furthermore, thread-like waist elastic members 23, 33 may be provided at the upper ends (waist portions) of the waist portions 20, 30 to provide a tight fit, and below that, a stretchable sheet may be provided in place of the thread-like waist elastic members 23, 33. By providing a stretchable sheet between the skin side sheets 21, 31 and the non-skin side sheets 22, 32 and intermittently joining the laminated sheets, the waist portions 20, 30 exhibit stretchability and provide a soft surface fit around the wearer's waist.
In the napkin 1 illustrated in FIG. 3, the length of the portion of the back waist portion 30 that extends outward in the left-right direction beyond the inclined elastic members 35 may be shorter.

First Embodiment
<<Regarding adhesion between the absorbent body 10 and the waist portions 20, 30>>
Fig. 5A is an explanatory diagram of an adhesive region 10R provided on the absorbent main body 10, and Fig. 5B is an explanatory diagram of an adhesive region 20R provided on the waistline portions 20, 30. Fig. 6 is an explanatory diagram of an adhesive region 1R provided on a napkin 1. The adhesive region 1R of the napkin 1 is an area where the adhesive region 10R of the absorbent main body 10 and the adhesive region 20R of the waistline portions 20, 30 overlap. Figs. 7A and 7B are explanatory diagrams of a first rectangular region Ra.

Disposable diapers other than the shorts-type napkin 1 of this embodiment require a space on the back side to accommodate feces and a space to store urine until it is absorbed by the absorbent. In contrast, the shorts-type napkin 1 is mainly intended for absorbing menstrual blood. Menstrual blood has a higher viscosity than urine, so it tends to flow easily along the body (buttocks groove) and spread easily on the top sheet, and the amount excreted is small. Therefore, in the shorts-type napkin 1, it is required that the absorbent core 11 closely contacts the buttocks groove of the wearer. This makes it possible to prevent menstrual blood from leaking backwards through the gap between the napkin and the wearer.

The shorts-type napkin 1 of this embodiment has a "first rectangular region Ra (rectangular region)" that contacts the groove of the wearer's buttocks, as shown in Figures 7A and 7B. The first rectangular region Ra is defined by a pair of "first virtual lines Lv1" that pass through both left and right ends 11a of the part of the absorbent core 11 that overlaps the back waistline portion 30 in the thickness direction when the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state, a "second virtual line Lv2" that passes through the upper end 11b (the end on the waistline side in the longitudinal direction) of the part of the absorbent core 11 that overlaps the back waistline portion 30 in the thickness direction and extends in the left and right direction, and a "third virtual line Lv3" that extends in the left and right direction by dividing the area between the longitudinal center position CL1 of the napkin 1 and the lower end 2a (the end on the crotch side) of the back side joint portion 2 into two in the longitudinal direction.

When the first rectangular region Ra is divided (equally) into five in the left-right direction, compared to the first end regions (end regions) Ra1, Ra5 located at the outermost left-right direction, the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 adjacent to the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 on the inside in the left-right direction have a lower basis weight (g/ ^m2 ) of the adhesive bonding the back waist portion 30 and the absorbent main body 10. In the following description, the adhesive bonding the back waist portion 30 and the absorbent main body 10 is also simply referred to as adhesive.

In this embodiment, the area of the adhesive region 1R that joins the back waist portion 30 and the absorbent body 10 is made smaller in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 than in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5A, adhesive is applied to both left and right sides of the back region of the absorbent body 10, and a rectangular adhesive region 10R that extends long in the longitudinal direction is provided. No adhesive is provided in the region inside the left and right direction from this adhesive region 10R. Also, as shown in FIG. 5B, no adhesive is applied to the back waist portion 30, and no adhesive region is provided. Therefore, in the napkin 1 in which the absorbent body 10 and the back waist portion 30 are joined, only the adhesive region 1R (10R) is provided on both left and right sides of the back region of the absorbent body 10, as shown in FIG. 6. The adhesive region 1R is positioned so as to overlap both longitudinal sides of the absorbent core 11, and is located in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5 as shown in FIG. 7B. The adhesive region 1R is not located in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4.

In this way, the area of the adhesive region 1R is smaller in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 than in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5, and the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4, so the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 have lower rigidity and are more likely to deform. Note that it is not necessary to change the area of the adhesive region 1R between the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5 and the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4. For example, even if the areas are the same, if the basis weight of the adhesive in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 is lower (if it is applied thinner), the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 will have lower rigidity.

That is, in the napkin 1 of this embodiment, in the first rectangular region Ra where the groove of the wearer's buttocks abuts, a difference in rigidity occurs between the first end region Ra1, Ra5, which corresponds to both sides of the absorbent core 11 in the left-right direction, and the first adjacent region Ra2, Ra4 inside it. Therefore, the boundary of the rigidity difference becomes the folding starting point, and the first adjacent region Ra2, Ra4, which is a low rigidity part, is easily folded. Therefore, when the absorbent core 11 is pressed against the wearer's buttocks when pulling up to put on the napkin 1, the first adjacent region Ra2, Ra4 is folded, and the absorbent core 11 is easily inserted into the groove while deforming to follow the groove of the buttocks. That is, the center part of the absorbent core 11 in the left-right direction inside the first end region Ra1, Ra5 is easily deformed to be convex toward the skin side, and is easily inserted into the groove. As a result, the absorbent core 11 fits snugly against the wearer's buttocks, preventing menstrual blood from leaking backwards.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 7A, the back waist portion 30 has elastic members that continuously stretch in the left-right direction at least in the first rectangular region Ra. In the napkin 1 of this embodiment, the multiple waist elastic members 33 and the multiple inclined elastic members 35 continuously stretch in the left-right direction within the first rectangular region Ra.

The elastic members 33, 35 are stretchable even in the area overlapping the absorbent core 11, so that a force that contracts in the left-right direction acts on the absorbent core 11. When the absorbent core 11 tries to contract in the left-right direction, wrinkles are not formed randomly, and the first adjacent areas Ra2, Ra4, which are low-rigidity areas, tend to fold. In other words, the elastic members 33, 35 of the first rectangular area Ra promote the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 is more likely to deform so as to fit closely to the groove of the wearer's buttocks. In addition, the elastic members 33, 35 of the first rectangular area Ra make it easier to maintain the absorbent core 11 in close contact with the groove of the buttocks, and rear leakage can be suppressed even if the wearer moves significantly, such as by turning over in bed.

The comparison of the basis weight of the adhesive can be performed by a known method. For example, the target areas (the first end areas Ra1, Ra5 and the first adjacent areas Ra2, Ra4, etc.) are cut out as samples from the napkin 1. The weight of the cut out sample is measured, and the adhesive is dissolved with toluene or the like. The weight of the sample is measured after drying. The weight of the sample before the adhesive is dissolved minus the weight of the sample after the adhesive is dissolved is defined as the weight (g) of the adhesive applied to the sample. The basis weight is then calculated based on the area ( ^m2 ) of the sample and compared.
In addition, the average adhesive basis weight of the two first end regions Ra1, Ra5 is compared with the average adhesive basis weight of the two first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4. In this way, when there are two target regions on the left and right, the average adhesive basis weights of the two regions are compared. The same applies when comparing adhesive basis weights in the following examples.

The adhesive region 1R is a closed region surrounded by straight lines along the left-right and longitudinal directions that circumscribe the area where the adhesive is actually applied. The adhesive may be applied completely over the entire surface of the adhesive region 1R in a so-called solid coating, or may be applied in a well-known application pattern (e.g., a spiral pattern, an Ω pattern, a line pattern, etc.). In particular, when the adhesive is applied in a pattern, any area that is spaced from the surrounding adhesive by less than 1.5 mm is considered to be included in the adhesive region 1R.

It is also preferable that the rear waist section 30 is constructed as a separate member from the ventral waist section 20. This makes it possible to prevent the movement of the wearer's crotch area (opening and closing of the legs, etc.) from being transmitted to the rear side via the exterior member, compared to when the rear waist section is an integrated exterior member that continues to the ventral waist section. This makes it easier for the absorbent core 11 to remain in close contact with the cleft of the wearer's buttocks.

In addition, because the ventral waist section 20 and the rear waist section 30 are separate, when the napkin 1 is pulled up to put it on, the pulling force tends to concentrate on the joint between the rear waist section 30 and the absorbent body 10 (the rear adhesive region 1R). This makes it easier for the force to press the absorbent core 11 against the wearer's buttocks, and the absorbent core 11 fits into the groove of the buttocks and makes it easier to fit closely.

However, without being limited to the above, the rear waist portion may be part of a one-piece exterior member (for example, an exterior member whose planar shape is roughly hourglass-shaped) that continues to the ventral waist portion. In that case, the napkin 1 in an unfolded and stretched state is divided into three parts in the longitudinal direction, with the part of the exterior member located on the rear side being the rear waist portion, and the part of the exterior member located on the ventral side being the ventral waist portion. Alternatively, the napkin may have an exterior member for the crotch portion that is a separate member from both the ventral waist portions 20, 30, connecting the ventral waist portion 20 and the rear waist portion 30, which are separate members.

8A and 8B are explanatory diagrams of the second rectangular region Rb and the third rectangular region Rc. The napkin 1 has a "second rectangular region Rb" which is a region from the lower end 2a of the side joint 2 to the lower end 30a of the back waistline 30 and abuts a part of the wearer's buttocks that becomes deeper from the beginning of the cleft. When the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state, the second rectangular region Rb is defined by a pair of first virtual lines Lv1, a fourth virtual line Lv4 which passes through the lower end 2a of the back side joint 2 (the end on the crotch side in the longitudinal direction) and extends in the left-right direction, and a fifth virtual line Lv5 which passes through the lower end 30a of the back waistline 30 (the end on the crotch side in the longitudinal direction) and extends in the left-right direction.

When the second rectangular region Rb is divided (equally) into five in the left-right direction, it is preferable that the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the second adjacent regions Rb2, Rb4 adjacent to the second end regions Rb1, Rb5 on the inside in the left-right direction than in the second end regions Rb1, Rb5 located on the outermost left-right direction. In Fig. 8B, the adhesive region 1R is located only in the second end regions Rb1, Rb5, and the adhesive region 1R is not located in the second adjacent regions Rb2, Rb4.
Moreover, the back waist portion 30 preferably has an elastic member (an inclined elastic member 35 in FIG. 8A) that is continuously stretchable in the left-right direction at least in the second rectangular region Rb.

This makes the second adjacent regions Rb2, Rb4 less rigid and more easily deformed. Therefore, at the point where the buttock groove starts and becomes deeper, the second adjacent regions Rb2, Rb4 fold, and the absorbent core 11 is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttock groove. In addition, contraction of the inclined elastic member 35 causes the second adjacent regions Rb2, Rb4 to fold, promoting the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11, and making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to maintain a state of being in close contact with the buttock groove even while being worn.

Although not present in the napkin 1 of this embodiment, an elastic member may be arranged linearly in the left-right direction from one end to the other end of the back waist portion 30 below the side joint portion 2 in the second rectangular region Rb.

As shown in FIG. 8A, the napkin 1 has a "third rectangular region Rc" which is a region from the lower end 2a of the side joint 2 to the upper end 11b of the absorbent core 11 and which abuts against the end of the wearer's buttocks groove. The third rectangular region Rc is defined by a pair of first imaginary lines Lv1, second imaginary lines Lv2, and fourth imaginary lines Lv4 when the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state.

When the third rectangular region Rc is divided (equally) into five in the left-right direction, it is preferable that the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the third adjacent regions Rc2 and Rc4 adjacent to the third end regions Rc1 and Rc5 on the inside in the left-right direction than in the third end regions Rc1 and Rc5 located on the outermost left-right direction. In Fig. 8B, the adhesive region 1R is located only in the third end regions Rc1 and Rc5, and the adhesive region 1R is not located in the third adjacent regions Rc2 and Rc4.
Moreover, the back waist portion 30 preferably has an elastic member (waist elastic member 33 in FIG. 8A) that is continuously stretchable in the left-right direction at least in the third rectangular region Rc.

This makes the third adjacent regions Rc2, Rc4 less rigid and more easily deformed. Therefore, at the end of the wearer's buttocks groove, the third adjacent regions Rc2, Rc4 fold, and the absorbent core 11 is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttocks groove. In addition, contraction of the waist elastic member 33 causes the third adjacent regions Rc2, Rc4 to fold, promoting the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11, and making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to maintain a state of being in close contact with the buttocks groove even while wearing the garment. In particular, between the side joints 2, the abdominal and dorsal waist elastic members 23, 33 tend to be continuous in a ring shape, and the absorbent core 11 is more likely to maintain a state of being in close contact with the buttocks groove even during large movements such as turning over in bed.

In addition, the third adjacent regions Rc2 and Rc4 have low rigidity and are easily deformed, which makes it easier for the absorbent core 11 to change from a convex shape to a flat shape so that it fits from the end of the buttock groove to the flat part of the back. This makes it easier for the absorbent core 11 to adhere to the flat part of the back, further reducing rear leakage. In addition, the convex absorbent core 11 is prevented from coming into contact with the back, reducing discomfort while wearing the garment.

9A, 9B, 10A, and 10B are explanatory diagrams of modified examples of the adhesive region 1R. FIG. 6 shows an example of the adhesive region 1R that joins the absorbent body 10 and the waistline portions 20 and 30, but the shape, area, number, arrangement, and other aspects of the adhesive region 1R are not limited to this. For example, in the modified examples of FIG. 9A and FIG. 9B, adhesive regions 1R are also provided in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 in the first rectangular region Ra. However, the area of the adhesive region 1R is smaller and the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 than in the adhesive region 1R in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5.

When the first rectangular region Ra is divided into five in the left-right direction, the three regions Ra2 to Ra4 located inside the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5 in the left-right direction preferably have non-adhesive regions where no adhesive is provided (regions not hatched in the drawing). As shown in FIG. 7B, the entirety of the three regions Ra2 to Ra4 may be non-adhesive regions, or as in the modified examples of FIG. 9A and FIG. 9B, only a portion of the three regions Ra2 to Ra4 may be non-adhesive regions.

For example, the rigidity of the three inner regions Ra2 to Ra4 can be reduced by applying a thinner layer of adhesive to the three inner regions Ra2 to Ra4 compared to the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5. However, by having non-adhesive regions in each of the three inner regions Ra2 to Ra4, the rigidity is further reduced, making them more susceptible to deformation. In this case, the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 fold due to the difference in rigidity with the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5, and the absorbent core 11 deforms into a convex shape, while the three inner regions Ra2 to Ra4 tend to conform to the shape of the buttocks groove and surrounding area. This makes it less likely that gaps will form between the buttocks groove and surrounding area and the napkin 1, suppressing menstrual blood from leaking backwards.

As shown in FIG. 9A, when the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state, the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 in the first rectangular region Ra are divided into a portion that overlaps with the side joint 2 in the longitudinal direction (overlap portion RO) and a portion that is on the crotch side of the side joint 2 (extension portion RE). At least one of the overlap portion RO and extension portion RE of the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 has an adhesive region 1R and a non-adhesive region, and it is preferable that the left-right length W4 of the non-adhesive region (maximum width of the non-adhesive region) is longer than the left-right length W3 of the adhesive region (maximum width of the adhesive region) (W4>W3).

In this case, the left-right length W4 of the non-adhesive region is shorter than the total width W3+W4 of the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4, but longer than the left-right length W3 of the adhesive region 1R. By appropriately lengthening the left-right length of the non-adhesive region in this way, the non-adhesive region tends to become a clear folding starting point. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 is easily folded, and the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttocks groove.

Conversely, as shown in FIG. 9B, in at least one of the overlapping portion RO and the extending portion RE of the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4, the left-right length W6 of the non-adhesive region may be shorter than the left-right length W5 of the adhesive region 1R (W6<W5).

In this case, the absorbent body 10 and the back waist portion 30 in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 are firmly joined by the adhesive region 1R, which is long in the left-right direction. This reduces friction caused by the individual movements of the absorbent body 10 and the back waist portion 30, and prevents the product from breaking. In addition, even if the length (W6) is short, the non-adhesive region makes the absorbent core 11 in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 prone to break, and the absorbent core 11 is prone to deforming into a convex shape so as to fit closely into the buttocks groove.

Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 7B, at least one of the overlapping portion RO and the extending portion RE of the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 may be a non-adhesive region in which no adhesive is provided over the entire area.

In this case, the rigidity of the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 becomes lower, making them more susceptible to deformation. Furthermore, in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4, the movement of the absorbent body 10 and the rear waistline portion 30 is not linked, so the rear waistline portion 30 is more likely to shrink, but the absorbent body 10 is less likely to shrink. This difference in shrinkage makes the absorbent core 11 in the absorbent body 10 more likely to break, and the absorbent core 11 is more likely to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely into the buttocks groove.

When the first rectangular region Ra is divided into five in the left-right direction, the central region Ra3 is also divided into an overlapping portion RO that overlaps with the side joint 2 in the longitudinal direction, and an extending portion RE that is located on the crotch side of the side joint 2. As shown in FIG. 9A of the modified example, at least one of the overlapping portion RO and the extending portion RE of the central region Ra3 may have an adhesive region 1R and a non-adhesive region. The adhesive region 1R may overlap in the thickness direction with the center position in the left-right direction of the central region Ra3 (i.e., the first center line CL1 in the left-right direction of the napkin 1). The non-adhesive regions may be located on both left-right outer sides of the adhesive region 1R.

By doing so, the highly rigid adhesive region 1R in the central region Ra3 becomes the folding starting point, and the absorbent core 11 is easily folded in two to the left and right. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttock groove. In addition, when the absorbent core 11 is deformed into a convex shape, the adhesive region 1R forms the top of the convex part, and the absorbent core 11 is easily inserted into the buttock groove. In addition, by making both outer sides of the adhesive region 1R non-adhesive regions with low rigidity, the adhesive region 1R, which becomes the top of the convex part, enters the buttock groove, while the non-adhesive regions on both outer sides are easily conformed to the shape of the groove and the surrounding area. Therefore, gaps are less likely to occur between the buttock groove and the surrounding area and the napkin 1, and menstrual blood leakage down the back can be suppressed.

Conversely, as shown in Figures 7B and 9B, at least one of the overlapping portion RO and the extension portion RE of the central region Ra3 may be a non-adhesive region in which no adhesive is provided over the entire area.

In this case, the rigidity of the central region Ra3 decreases, making it easier to deform. Therefore, when the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 fold and the absorbent core 11 deforms into a convex shape, the entire central region Ra3 tends to conform to the shape of the buttocks groove and surrounding area. This makes it difficult for gaps to form between the buttocks groove and surrounding area and the napkin 1, thereby preventing menstrual blood from leaking backwards.

9A, at least one of the overlapping portion RO of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 and the central region Ra3 and the extending portion RE of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 and the central region Ra3 may have an adhesive region 1R. In addition, in the overlapping portion RO, the adhesive region 1R (W7) of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 may be longer in the left-right direction than the adhesive region 1R (W8) of the central region Ra3, and/or in the extending portion RE, the adhesive region 1R (W7) of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 may be longer in the left-right direction than the adhesive region 1R (W8) of the central region Ra3.

By doing so, the adhesive region 1R, which is long in the left-right direction of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5, can firmly bond both longitudinal sides of the absorbent body 10 to the back waist portion 30, and peeling of the two members 10, 30 can be suppressed. In addition, the rigidity of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 is increased, so that the part of the absorbent core 11 that deforms in a convex shape on the inside can be firmly supported from below. On the other hand, because the adhesive region 1R in the central region Ra3 has a short left-right length, the absorbent core 11 is easily folded in two left and right in a convex shape, and when the absorbent core 11 deforms in a convex shape, the apex of the convex part is formed, making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to fit into the buttocks groove.

11A and 11B are explanatory diagrams of the fourth rectangular region Rd and the fifth rectangular region Re. As shown in FIG. 11A, the napkin 1 has a "fourth rectangular region Rd" that overlaps with the inclined stretchable region A35 and abuts the beginning of the wearer's buttocks groove. When the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state, the fourth rectangular region Rd is defined by a pair of first virtual lines Lv1, a sixth virtual line Lv6 that passes through the upper end 35a (the end on the waistline side in the longitudinal direction) of the inclined stretchable region A35 and extends in the left-right direction, and a seventh virtual line Lv7 that passes through the lower end 35c (the end on the crotch side in the longitudinal direction) of the inclined stretchable region A35 and extends in the left-right direction.

When the fourth rectangular region Rd is divided (evenly) into five in the left-right direction, it is preferable that the basis weight of the adhesive be lower in the fourth adjacent regions Rd2, Rd4 adjacent to the fourth end regions Rd1, Rd5 on the inside in the left-right direction than in the fourth end regions Rd1, Rd5 located on the outermost left-right direction. In FIG. 11B, the adhesive region 1R is located only in the fourth end regions Rd1, Rd5, and the adhesive region 1R is not located in the fourth adjacent regions Rd2, Rd4.

By doing so, the fourth adjacent regions Rd2, Rd4 have low rigidity and are easily deformed. Therefore, at the start of the wearer's buttock groove, the fourth adjacent regions Rd2, Rd4 fold, and the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttock groove. In addition, contraction of the inclined elastic member 35 causes the fourth adjacent regions Rd2, Rd4 to fold, promoting the deformation of the absorbent core 11 into a convex shape, and making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to maintain a state of being in close contact with the buttock groove even while being worn.

However, the above is not limited, and for example, as shown in the modified example of FIG. 10A, an adhesive region 1R extending continuously in the left-right direction may be provided in the region where the inclined elastic member 35 is provided. By adhering the inclined stretchable region A35 of the back waist portion 30 to the absorbent body 10, the rigidity of the lower part of the back waist portion 30 is increased, and the contraction of the lower part of the back waist portion 30 in the left-right direction can be suppressed. Therefore, the buttocks can be covered by the lower part of the back waist portion 30, providing a sense of security to the wearer.

It is also preferable that the inclined elastic region A35 has a lower elasticity than the waistline elastic member 33. In particular, it is preferable that the fourth rectangular region Rd (the portion of the inclined elastic region A35 overlapping with the absorbent body 10) has a weaker force for stretching a region of a unit length in the up-down direction to a predetermined length in the left-right direction than the portion of the first rectangular region Ra (FIG. 7) where the waistline elastic member 33 is arranged.
A target region (the area where the inclined elastic region A35 and the waist elastic member 33 are arranged, after separating the back waist portion 30 and the absorbent body 10) is cut out as a sample from the napkin 1. Then, using a tensile tester, the load (value (N/mm) per unit width (mm) in the vertical direction) when the sample is stretched a predetermined length in the horizontal direction is obtained and compared.

As described above, by lowering the elasticity of the inclined elastic region A35, the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11 can be appropriately suppressed in the area of the absorbent core 11 close to the crotch area. This can suppress side leakage of menstrual blood and reduce the wearer's anxiety about leakage. On the other hand, by increasing the elasticity of the waist elastic member 33, the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11 is promoted in areas where the buttocks crease is deep, making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to fit closely to the buttocks crease.

In addition, because the napkin 1 has the inclined stretchable region A35, when the napkin 1 is pulled up, the bulge of the left and right buttocks causes the back waist portion 30 to be pulled outward in the left and right direction, preventing the absorbent core 11 from digging too deeply into the grooves of the buttocks. As a result, the absorbent core 11 can be deformed into a convex shape while maintaining an appropriate width, preventing side leakage and reducing the wearer's anxiety about leakage.

As shown in FIG. 5A, it is preferable that the absorbent core 11 has, at least in the crotch area, a narrowed portion 11D narrowed inward in the left-right direction, and a widest portion 11E, which is wider in the left-right direction than the narrowed portion 11D and is located behind the crotch area. This makes it difficult for the movement of the wearer's crotch area (opening and closing the legs, etc.) to act on the absorbent core 11, and prevents it from being transmitted to the rear side of the absorbent core 11. This makes it easier for the absorbent core 11 to remain in close contact with the cleft of the wearer's buttocks.

When the absorbent core 11 has the above-mentioned shape, the napkin 1 has a "fifth rectangular region Re" which is the region from the widest part 11E to the upper end 11b of the absorbent core 11, as shown in FIG. 11A. When the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and extended state, the fifth rectangular region Re is defined by a pair of first virtual lines Lv1, a second virtual line Lv2, and an eighth virtual line Lv8 which passes through the widest part 11E and extends in the left-right direction. Note that when the widest part 11E has a length in the longitudinal direction, the eighth virtual line Lv8 passes through the lower end of the widest part 11E.

When the fifth rectangular region Re is divided (equally) into five in the left-right direction, it is preferable that the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the fifth adjacent regions Re2 and Re4 adjacent to the fifth end regions Re1 and Re5 on the inside in the left-right direction than in the fifth end regions Re1 and Re5 located on the outermost left-right direction. In Fig. 11B, the adhesive region 1R is located only in the fifth end regions Re1 and Re5, and the adhesive region 1R is not located in the fifth adjacent regions Re2 and Re4.
Moreover, the back waist portion 30 preferably has an elastic member (waist elastic member 33 in FIG. 11A) that is continuously stretchable in the left-right direction at least in the fifth rectangular region Re.

By doing so, the rigidity of the fifth adjacent regions Re2 and Re4 is low, and they become easily deformed. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttocks groove. In addition, the contraction of the waist elastic member 33 causes the fifth adjacent regions Re2 and Re4 to fold, promoting the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11, and making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to maintain a state of fitting closely to the buttocks groove even while wearing the garment. In addition, even if the absorbent core 11 is deformed into a convex shape, the maximum width portion 11E of the absorbent core 11 and its surrounding area are secured to have a length (the length of the bottom of the convex portion) on the outside in the left-right direction compared to the convex absorbent core 11. Therefore, side leakage can be suppressed, and the wearer's anxiety about leakage can be reduced.

12A and 12B are explanatory diagrams of the sixth rectangular region Rf. Here, we will explain the ventral side of the absorbent core 11. As shown in FIG. 12A, the napkin 1 has a "sixth rectangular region Rf" that abuts against the lower abdomen of the wearer. The sixth rectangular region Rf is defined by a pair of ninth imaginary lines Lv9 that extend in the longitudinal direction and pass through both left and right ends 11c of the portion of the absorbent core 11 that overlaps the ventral waistline portion 20 in the thickness direction when the napkin 1 is in an unfolded and stretched state, a tenth imaginary line Lv10 that extends in the left and right direction and passes through the upper end 11d (the end on the longitudinal waistline side) of the portion of the absorbent core 11 that overlaps the ventral waistline portion 20 in the thickness direction, and an eleventh imaginary line Lv11 that extends in the left and right direction and divides the area between the longitudinal center position CL1 of the napkin 1 and the lower end 2b (the end on the longitudinal crotch side) of the ventral side joint portion 2 into two in the longitudinal direction.

When the sixth rectangular region Rf is divided (equally) into five in the left-right direction, it is preferable that the basis weight of the adhesive bonding the abdominal waist portion 20 and the absorbent body 10 be lower in the sixth adjacent regions Rf2, Rf4 adjacent to the sixth end regions Rf1, Rf5 on the inside in the left-right direction than in the sixth end regions Rf1, Rf5 located on the outermost left-right direction.

As shown in FIG. 5A, the abdominal absorbent body 10 has longitudinally long rectangular adhesive regions 10R on both sides in the left-right direction. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 5B, the abdominal waist portion 20 has longitudinally long rectangular adhesive regions 20R on the upper and lower ends. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 12B, the sixth end regions Rf1 and Rf5 have adhesive regions 1R over a wide range in the longitudinal direction, and the adhesive regions 1R are overlapped at the upper and lower ends. On the other hand, the sixth adjacent regions Rf2 and Rf4 only have adhesive regions 1R at the upper and lower ends. Therefore, the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the sixth adjacent regions Rf2 and Rf4 than in the sixth end regions Rf1 and Rf5.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the ventral waist portion 20 has a ventral elastic member (waist elastic member 23) that is continuously stretchable in the left-right direction at least in the sixth rectangular region Rf.

By doing so, the sixth adjacent regions Rf2 and Rf4 have low rigidity and are easily deformed. Therefore, when the absorbent core 11 of the sixth rectangular region Rf is pressed against the lower abdomen when the napkin 1 is worn, the sixth adjacent regions Rf2 and Rf4 fold, and the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape outward along the roundness of the lower abdomen. Therefore, even on the abdominal side, a gap is unlikely to occur between the absorbent core 11 and the wearer's lower abdomen, and leakage of menstrual blood, etc. can be suppressed. In addition, even when the absorbent core 11 contracts in the left-right direction due to the abdominal side waist elastic member 23, wrinkles are not formed randomly, and the sixth adjacent regions Rf2 and Rf4 are easily folded. Therefore, the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11 is promoted, and the absorbent core 11 is easily maintained in close contact with the lower abdomen.

As shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4A, the absorbent body 10 preferably has longitudinal elastic members 17 that stretch in the longitudinal direction on the non-skin side of the absorbent core 11. The longitudinal elastic members 17 shown in Fig. 3 are rubber threads, and two longitudinal elastic members 17 are provided with a gap between them in the left-right direction and arranged along the longitudinal direction. However, the number of longitudinal elastic members 17 is not particularly limited. The longitudinal elastic members 17 may be sheet-shaped elastic members. As shown in Fig. 4A, the longitudinal elastic members 17 are provided between the back sheet 13 and the side sheet 14.

When the napkin 1 has a longitudinal elastic member 17, as shown in FIG. 7A, it is preferable that the longitudinal elastic member 17 is provided in at least a portion of the longitudinal direction of the first rectangular region Ra. By doing so, the contraction of the longitudinal elastic member 17 pushes the absorbent core 11 of the first rectangular region Ra toward the skin, and the absorbent core 11 is pressed against the buttocks of the wearer. At that time, the first adjacent regions Ra1 and Ra5, which have low rigidity, fold, and the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely into the buttocks.

In addition, it is preferable that the napkin 1 satisfies at least one of the following two conditions. The first is that, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4B, a cover sheet 34 is provided across the upper end (the end on the waistline side) of the absorbent body 10 on the back side and covers said end from the skin side. The second is that in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 in the first rectangular region Ra, the basis weight of the adhesive is reduced, but adhesive is provided at the upper end (the end on the waistline side). Note that the upper end of the first rectangular region Ra is the uppermost end when the first rectangular region Ra is divided into five in the longitudinal direction. It is sufficient that the adhesive region 1R is provided in at least a part of that upper end.

7B, the adhesive region 1R is not located at the upper end of the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4. In this case, the cover sheet 34 is provided on the back waist portion 30, so that the upper end of the absorbent body 10 is unlikely to be rolled up from the back waist portion 30, and discomfort during wear can be suppressed.
10B, in the adhesive region 1R of the modified example, the adhesive region 1R is provided continuously in the left-right direction from the first end region Ra1 on one side to the first end region Ra5 on the other side. Therefore, although the basis weight of the adhesive is reduced in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4, since the adhesive is provided at the upper end, even if the cover sheet 34 is not provided at the back waist portion 30, the upper end of the absorbent main body 10 is unlikely to turn up, and discomfort during wearing can be suppressed.

As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, in the napkin 1 in its natural state, it is preferable that: At the vertical center position CL3 between the upper end 10a of the absorbent body 10 and the lower end 2a of the side joint 2, the left-right length W2 (Fig. 2) of the absorbent body 10 on the back side is shorter than the left-right length W1 of the absorbent body 10 on the ventral side (W2<W1).

By doing so, a user who visually confirms that the absorbent body 10 on the back side is shrunk in the left-right direction compared to the absorbent body 10 on the ventral side in the napkin 1 in its natural state is more likely to get the impression that the napkin 1 fits easily into the buttocks crease. This reduces the user's anxiety about rear leakage. In order to reduce the width of the absorbent body 10 on the back side, for example, it is recommended to increase the number of elastic members provided in the back waist portion 30 or to increase the stretch ratio of the elastic members.

Second Embodiment
13A and 13B are explanatory diagrams of the adhesive region 1R of the second embodiment. In the first embodiment described above, when the first rectangular region Ra (FIG. 7A) is divided into five in the left-right direction, the basis weight of the adhesive is lower in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 than in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5.
In the second embodiment, when the first rectangular region Ra (FIG. 7A) is divided into five in the left-right direction, the first end region Ra1, Ra5 located at the outermost left-right direction has an adhesive region 1R, and the first rectangular region Ra (any of the regions Ra1 to Ra5) has a non-adhesive region arranged inside the adhesive region 1R in the left-right direction. For example, in FIG. 13B, a non-adhesive region is provided in the central region Ra3. The basis weight of the adhesive in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may be equal to or greater than the basis weight of the adhesive in the first end region Ra1, Ra5. In addition, an elastic member that continuously expands and contracts in the left-right direction (the waist elastic member 33 and the inclined elastic member 35 in FIG. 7A) may be located in the first rectangular region Ra.

By doing so, the area where the stiffness difference occurs between the adhesive area 1R of the first end area Ra1, Ra5 and the non-adhesive area provided inside the adhesive area 1R is likely to become the folding start point, and the absorbent core 11 is likely to deform into a convex shape so as to adhere to the groove of the buttocks of the wearer. For example, in the case of FIG. 13B, the boundary between the non-adhesive area of the central area Ra3 and the adhesive area 1R provided in the first adjacent area Ra2, Ra4 is likely to fold. The elastic members 33, 35 in the first rectangular area R1 promote the deformation of the absorbent core 11 into a convex shape, and the absorbent core 11 is likely to maintain a state in which it adheres to the groove of the buttocks even during wearing. On the other hand, the adhesive area 1R increases the stiffness of the first end area, and the part of the absorbent core 11 that deforms into a convex shape can be supported from below, making it easier for the absorbent core to maintain a state in which it adheres to the groove of the buttocks.

More preferably, the adhesive region 1R of the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5 and the non-adhesive region provided inside it have overlapping portions in the vertical direction. This makes it easier for the fold point to form.

In addition, although not shown, the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 may have adhesive regions 1R, the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may also have adhesive regions 1R, and non-adhesive regions may be provided between them. In this case, the non-adhesive regions provided at the boundaries between the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 and the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 tend to be folding points, and the absorbent core 11 tends to deform into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the cleft of the wearer's buttocks. Also, in this case, as in the first embodiment, the left and right width of the adhesive region 1R of the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may be smaller than the left and right width of the adhesive region 1R of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5, and the basis weight of the adhesive in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may be lowered, or, unlike the first embodiment, the left and right width of the adhesive region 1R of the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may be the same as or greater than the left and right width of the adhesive region 1R of the first end regions Ra1, Ra5, and the basis weight of the adhesive in the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may be higher.

Third Embodiment
In the third embodiment, as shown in FIG. 13B, when the first rectangular region Ra (FIG. 7A) is divided into five in the left-right direction, the adhesive bonding the back waist portion 30 and the absorbent body 10 in the central region Ra3 may have a lower basis weight than the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5. In FIG. 13B, the central region Ra3 is a non-adhesive region, but the central region Ra3 may have an adhesive region 1R with a low basis weight (adhesive may be applied thinly). The basis weight of the adhesive in the first adjacent regions Ra2 and Ra4 may be the same as or greater than the basis weight of the adhesive in the first end regions Ra1 and Ra5. In addition, it is preferable that an elastic member (the waist elastic member 33 and the inclined elastic member 35 in FIG. 7A) that continuously expands and contracts in the left-right direction is located in the first rectangular region Ra.

In this case, the central region Ra3 of the first rectangular region Ra has low rigidity and is easily deformed, so that the absorbent core 11 is easily deformed into a convex shape so as to fit closely to the buttock groove of the wearer. In addition, the elastic members (33, 35) passing through the first rectangular region Ra promote the convex deformation of the absorbent core 11 when the absorbent core 11 contracts, and the absorbent core 11 is easily maintained in close contact with the buttock groove even while being worn. On the other hand, the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 have high rigidity and can support the part of the absorbent core 11 that deforms into a convex shape from below, making it easier for the absorbent core 11 to be maintained in close contact with the buttock groove.

In particular, as shown in FIG. 13B, when the entire central region Ra3 is a non-adhesive region, the entire central region Ra3 is easily deformed. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 in the central region Ra3 is easily conformed to the shape of the buttocks groove and the surrounding area, and gaps are less likely to occur, which can suppress menstrual blood leakage down the back. However, without being limited to this, the central region Ra3 may have an adhesive region 1R (not shown). When the central region Ra3 has an adhesive region 1R, the adhesive region 1R may overlap with the center position of the central region Ra3 in the left-right direction, and both outsides of the adhesive region 1R may be non-adhesive regions. In this way, the adhesive region 1R in the central region Ra3 becomes the folding starting point, and the absorbent core is easily folded in two to the left and right, and easily inserted into the buttocks groove.

Also, as shown in FIG. 13B, the first end regions Ra1, Ra5 and the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4 may have the same adhesive region 1R, and only the central region Ra3 may be a non-adhesive region. In this case, a difference in rigidity occurs between the central region Ra3 and the first adjacent regions Ra2, Ra4, and the boundary between the two regions is likely to become the folding starting point. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 is likely to fold in two at the left-right central portion (central region Ra3), and the absorbent core 11 is likely to enter the buttock groove and be easily adhered. In this case, the adhesive region 1R is wider, so that friction caused by the individual movements of the absorbent main body 10 and the back waist portion 30 can be suppressed, and product breakage can be prevented.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the above embodiments are intended to facilitate understanding of the present invention and are not intended to limit the interpretation of the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention can be modified or improved without departing from the spirit of the invention, and it goes without saying that the present invention includes equivalents.
