Claims (10)
- 多気筒エンジンの排気装置であって、
各排気ポートに接続された排気管と、
複数の前記排気管が集合する合流部と、
前記合流部の下流側に配置されて触媒が収納された触媒管と、
前記合流部の下流側で前記触媒管の上流側に配置されて、その上流側および下流側よりも通路内径が小さい第1縮径部と、
前記第1縮径部に設けられて排気中の特定成分を検出する第1センサと、
前記第1縮径部の上流側に配置されて、前記第1縮径部に向かって通路内径が徐々に小さくなるように湾曲した絞り部と、
前記第1縮径部の下流側に配置されて、下流側に向かって通路内径が徐々に大きくなる拡径部とを備えたエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1に記載の排気装置において、前記合流部は、複数の前記排気管の排気を区画する仕切り壁を有し、
前記第1センサは、前記仕切り壁を流れ方向に延長した領域に配置されているエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項2に記載の排気装置において、前記合流部は、複数の前記排気管が合流する複数の上流側合流部分と、複数の前記上流側合流部分が合流する下流側合流部分とを有し、
前記上流側合流部は、複数の前記排気管の排気を区画する上流側仕切り壁を有し、
前記下流側合流部は、複数の前記上流側合流部の排気を区画する下流側仕切り壁を有し、
前記第1センサは、前記上流側仕切り壁と前記下流側仕切り壁とが、流れ方向に延長して重なる領域に配置されているエンジンの排気装置。 - 鞍乗型車両に搭載された請求項3に記載の排気装置において、前記複数の上流側合流部分が上下方向に並んでいるエンジンの排気装置。
- 請求項4に記載の排気装置において、前記下流側合流部分内の通路が、前記下流側仕切り壁により上下に区画され、
上側の通路が、下側の通路に比べて車幅方向内側に偏位して配置されているエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項3から5のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置において、複数気筒の爆発間隔が等間隔に設定され、
排気が前記上流側合流部分と、前記下流側合流部分とで交互に排出されるように前記排気管の接続が設定されているエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置において、前記第1縮径部の内径が、合流前の複数の前記排気管の内径の1.5倍以下に設定されているエンジンの排気装置。
- 請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置において、前記拡径部の湾曲の曲率中心が外径側に位置するエンジンの排気装置。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の排気装置において、さらに、前記触媒管の下流側に、下流側に向かって通路内径が徐々に小さくなる第2縮径部と、
前記第2縮径部に設けられて排気中の特定成分を検出する第2センサと、を備えたエンジンの排気装置。 - 鞍乗型車両に搭載された請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
前記第1センサが、前記エンジンのクランクケースの底面の下方で、前記クランクケースの外側面より車幅方向内側に配置されているエンジンの排気装置。
