Abstract
Description
本実施形態に係るサーマルプリントヘッドについて、図1乃至図3を用いて説明する。図1はサーマルプリントヘッドを示す図で、図1(a)はその平面図、図1(b)は図1(a)のV1−V1線に沿って切断し矢印方向に眺めた断面図、図2はサーマルプリントヘッドのボンディングワイヤーの配置例を示す図で、図2(a)はその平面図、図2(b)は図2(a)のV2−V2線に沿って切断し矢印方向に眺めた断面図、図3はボンディングワイヤーの配置例の要部を示す写真である。
図4よりパッドピッチは35μm、図5よりワイヤー長さは1.7mmとなる。直径Dが23μmφの金属ワイヤーを用いるとき、ワイヤー曲り量の許容値は(35−23)/2=6μmとなる。ここでは、ワイヤーの配置は1段とする。
図4よりパッドピッチは25μm、図5よりワイヤー長さは2.5mmとなる。直径Dが23μmφの金属ワイヤーを用いるとき、ワイヤー曲り量の許容値は(25−23)/2=1μmとなる。
本実施形態に係るサーマルプリンタについて、図11を用いて説明する。図11はサーマルプリントヘッド10を用いたサーマルプリンタを示す断面図である。

Claims (7)
- 放熱板と、
前記放熱板に載置された支持基板と、前記支持基板に積層されたグレーズ層と、前記グレーズ層上に設けられ主走査方向に配列された複数の発熱素子とを有するヘッド基板と、
前記放熱板に前記ヘッド基板と副走査方向に隣り合うように載置され、接続回路が設けられた回路基板と、
前記ヘッド基板の前記回路基板寄りの上面または前記回路基板の前記ヘッド基板寄りの上面に載置されるとともに、第1ボンディングワイヤーを介して前記発熱素子に電気的に接続され、第2ボンディングワイヤーを介して前記接続回路に電気的に接続された制御素子と、
を備え、
前記第1ボンディングワイヤーは前記主走査方向に沿って複数平行に配列されており、前記第1ボンディングワイヤーのうち、少なくとも2mm以上の長さを有する前記第1ボンディングワイヤーは、金よりも大きいヤング率を有する金属ワイヤーであるサーマルプリントヘッド。 - 前記金属ワイヤーのヤング率が、80×109N/m2より大きい請求項1記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 前記金属ワイヤーが、銅ワイヤー、銅合金ワイヤー、銅を主材とし銅と異なる金属で被覆されたワイヤーのいずれかである請求項1または2記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 前記第1ボンディングワイヤーの配列ピッチが60μm以下である請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 前記第1ボンディングワイヤーの径が、18μm以上、且つ23μm以下である請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 前記第1および第2ボンディングワイヤーが、実質的に同じ種類のワイヤーである請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項記載のサーマルプリントヘッドと、
受像紙を前記複数の発熱素子との間に挟持し、前記受像紙を前記副走査方向に移動させるプラテンローラと、
を具備するサーマルプリンタ。
