Claims (22)
- 細長い可撓性カテーテルであって、
近位端、遠位端、及び内部に画定されたルーメンを有する細長いシャフトを備え、
前記シャフトは、管状部材を含み、
前記管状部材は、
ナイロン12、ポリエーテルブロックアミド、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される第1ポリマーを含む外層と、
ナイロン11、ナイロン6、ナイロン6,6、ナイロン6,12、ポリアミド−イミド、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される約53℃を超える熱変形温度を有する第2ポリマーを含む内層と、
を有する、細長い可撓性カテーテル。 - 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記内層及び前記外層は共押出しされる、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記第2ポリマーは、ナイロン11、ナイロン6、ナイロン6,6、ナイロン6,12、ポリアミド−イミド、ポリエーテルイミド、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記第2ポリマーは、前記第1ポリマーに直接結合可能である、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記第2ポリマーは、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記管状部材はさらに、前記第1層と前記第2層との間に配置された中間層を含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項4に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記中間層は、前記第1ポリマー及び前記第2ポリマーに直接結合可能な接合材料を含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項5に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記接合材料は、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンメタクリル酸コポリマー、又はそれらの組み合わせを含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項4に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記内層、前記中間層、及び前記外層は、共押出しされる、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記細長いシャフトの前記遠位端に近接して配置された作業装置をさらに備えた、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記作業装置は膨張性バルーンを含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記第1ポリマーはナイロン12を含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記第1ポリマーはPEBAXを含む、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、前記管状部材は、近位シャフト部、中間シャフト部、遠位シャフト部、又は作業装置を覆って配置されたスリーブの1つ又は複数を形成する、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 請求項1に記載の細長い可撓性カテーテルにおいて、該カテーテルは、前記第1ポリマーからなる管状部材を含むシャフトを有する同様のカテーテルと比べて、体温に曝されるとプッシャビリティが向上される、細長い可撓性カテーテル。
- 細長い可撓性カテーテルを作製する方法であって、
外層及び内層を有する管状部材を共押出しして、近位端、遠位端、及び内部に画定されたルーメンを有する細長いシャフトの少なくとも一部を形成する、ステップと、
前記細長いシャフトの前記遠位部に近接して作業装置を配置する、ステップと、
を含み、
前記外層は、ナイロン12、ポリエーテルブロックアミド、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される第1ポリマーを含み、
前記内層は、約53℃を超える熱変形温度を有する第2ポリマーを含む、方法。 - 請求項14に記載の方法において、前記第2ポリマーは、ナイロン11、ナイロン6、ナイロン6,6、ナイロン6,12、ポリイミド、ポリアミド−イミド、ポリエーテルイミド、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記第2ポリマーは、前記第1ポリマーに直接結合可能である、方法。
- 請求項14に記載の方法において、前記第2ポリマーは、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記管状部材はさらに、前記第1層と前記第2層との間に配置された中間層を含む、方法。
- 請求項16に記載の方法において、前記中間層は、前記第1ポリマー及び前記第2ポリマーに直接結合可能な接合材料を含む、方法。
- 請求項17に記載の方法において、前記接合材料は、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンメタクリル酸コポリマー、又はそれらの組み合わせを含む、方法。
- 請求項14に記載の方法において、前記第1ポリマーはナイロン12を含む、方法。
- 請求項14に記載の方法において、前記第1ポリマーはPEBAXを含む、方法。
